Don't ask me why I advise this.
Why do you advise this?

Fourth queue house was adjacent (more or less) to the current photo stand. You can probably still see the concrete slab if you look thru the fence on your way out.
Yep. When I worked at Beast ten years ago, the first queue house was still referred to as 'middle queue'. Holdover from when the removed queue house was present.

Delirium doesn't have a transmission.
Whatever. Go catch a predator.

There is dark red steel coaster track in the swan lake construction area that arrived today.
-
And apparently, if news reports are correct (and early ones often are not), there were several people who hopped a fence into the restricted area. I wonder if or how severely the person on the ride was. Last time this happened (on Top Gun at Great America in California), the person on the ride suffered a broken leg, if memory serves. And what a thing to have to live with...one minute you are happily riding a ride, then your feet come in contact with someone who is not supposed to be where they are. How truly awful.
The ajc.com article said no one on the ride was injured.

but when I went to TRTR in 03, I had the best time because our sups went out of the way to make sure we were happy. Its all about your co-workers.
Whatever, Tom. You know the sups on TR in '03 were complete tyrants.

The Paramount Theater will be the Kings Island Theater. And the movie-named rides will be changing too.
-
-sighs- There are already threads on these.
They are both rides, and rides break. IJST is fine and TR:TR has a broken motherboard.
So they brought in a crane for a motherboard? Interesting.
With all due respect to KI Man, chalk up the broken motherboard theory to a dippin dots guy's opinion, its just a rumor hes heard circulating around through the employees, he works in games.
Tomb Raider had a bad board in the audio/show system earlier this summer which was why the show was not running for a while. The issue now is mechanical.

If you ever watchign the Discorvy video they explained those noises.
He's not talking about the noise from the resistor banks. He means the noises from the ride unit itself. I agree the noises would seem odd to a random guest, however I think the fact that it's in a metal building makes it worse than it would be outside with ambient noise.

I think anyone considering buying the chain and thinking about keeping the current mangement should talk to those lower on the totem pole and see what they think of Cedar Fair management.
LOL. How true.
-
Any proof of that?
I have no way of taking pictures on me right now, but I'm sure someone here will sometime today.

Son of Beast has reopened today, July 4.

I am more of an Indians fan!!!
Eww...

Still. Spotlights??? Bueller??? Anybody???
There have always been orange-ish lights shining on the track at various spots. Right after the brake shed and at the turn to lift 2 for instance.

Forgot to ask in the original post...
I noticed Tomb Raider had all of its seats open all the way to the end of the rows. Did they fix the problem they've been having with the ride and are now able to utilize all of the seats?
They actually removed ten seats from the far end of the gondola. So yes, they use all seats, but there are fewer than there used to be.

Ice show is coming back. There are audition flyers in the HR office. It will be in the Paramount Theater.

no obviosly not seeing as you think the ride will be called Firehawk. which it wont! I have no inside information but I am almost positive it wont be called a name like that. and just my opinion but I think that the current name X light would fit well to it, so I dont think they should change the name, just paint it may be lik a deep purple and black.
I read on the Thrill Network website that X-Flight is going to be painted in a red and yellow scheme and renamed "Firehawk." Anyone know if there's some truth to that rumor?
See Im not a TROLL! We know what we are talking about....
Glad to see the resident TROLL is back...
Firehawk is a horrible name, unless they change FoF to ThunderHawk, then I think the aviary section of the park would be set.
^Unfortunate you don't like that name....
-
Not necessarily...this could be a transitional logo to be used while park specific logos are developed...
Doubtful. The "Kings Island" in Cedar Fair script with the corporate logo now appears on the park's paperwork as well as the sign on Western Row Rd. going into the employee entrance.

Someone told me that when he called about the rehire packets that they said that ALL RETURNERS have been scratched off so the would have to go threw the hire process to get the job back.
If they did here are some things that would mess up
1. Sups, Crew leaders exc.
2. Returner’s
3. # of Employees in the park
Did anyone else that earned rehire status find this out? if this is true when are they going to tell people? But I also wonder if the only people who earned rehire where the people who finished out the season. But if any of this is true how would u react if you are/were a returner wanting rehire status?
Chris
You have to apply online, and then it's up to the department you apply for to hire/rehire you. Pretty much the same it's always been, with the exception of sending out masses of rehire packets (which acttually weren't sent out last year either).

With a screen name like King James, probably. Kinda fitting he's talking about interpreting things incorrectly then says he's going to read his bible...

10million :\ that number keeps ringing in my ear. I dont think its takes 10million dollars to tear down X-flight and re-build it here, and it didn't cost anything to buy the coaster since it was an "inside" trade.
I think Kings Island is geting 2 attractions , X-flight and a mystorus thrill ride =O (im voting for a jump2 )
I'm betting on a spinning coaster.

Jacob Falfas, chief operating officer, got a three-year deal with a guaranteed $600,000 annually.
