  1. Silly excuses? Like the fact that it's December?
  2. That would take just as much work. Also The Racer trains have five cars and Beast's have six. Not exactly sure what that would do to the performance of the ride....
  3. The chain and anti-rollback dogs are on one assembly under each car. They would have to be reversed. The brake fins are connected to the old skid brake shoe on the right side. They too would have to be moved. The brackets that trigger the block sensors would need to be moved to the opposite side of the train also.
  4. I'll bet Ghoster Coaster is given the King Cobra treatment after this season to make room for a new junior coaster.
  5. I was stuck on the lift of forwards Racer once and it started downpouring.
  6. Anyone want to take bets on whether this guy never goes to KI again?
  7. LOL. I wish ACErs who posted online followed this advice. Then they would never say anything!!! I disagree with that. These are open forums, and so long as you can express your opinions somewhat intelligently, it's welcomed. Oh I know. I was just making a joke that a lot of "hardcore" coaster enthusiasts on other sites seem to post an overwhelming amount of negative messages.
  8. That's because the crew is so large now, chief. People get sent to other rides/areas all the time, not just the DSS crew. Getting sent isn't the same as being transferred to another crew.
  9. The work lights have been on only one of the times I've ridden this year (out of probably 5 or 6). Every other time the preshow lighting was going as normal.
  10. The Delirium/Slingshot crew was combined with the Drop Zone/Days of Thunder crew until Delirium reopens.
  11. James, I didn't realize you were that much younger than I am. I was 13 when Top Gun opened.
  12. I got what they meant. They were saying that Colossus beat SOB's second drop in height.
  13. Son of Beast has the two tallest drops, not the steepest. (214' and 164')
  14. LOL. I wish ACErs who posted online followed this advice. Then they would never say anything!!!
  15. We'll see. The fact that the new part had to be fabricated from scratch shows that Huss never expected that part to need replacing. I heard that Huss wanted KI to send them pictures of it because they didn't even believe the part broke the way that KI described it. Now, whether that's true or not I don't know, but if Huss never intended it to need replacing, then the cause might be hard to track down and/or fix. Only time will tell.
  16. When I refer to the park I either say Kings Island or KI. But when I imagine hearing ride announcements or seeing the park's name on a sign, saying Kings Island without the "Paramount's" sounds odd.
  17. It's just the HTML is written incorrectly. You can get the file by manually opening this URL with QuickTime: http://www.rpmusic.com/mp4s/OuterLimits.mp4 (Or click just click on it and your browser should let you save it) Note: This isn't the entire preshow video, just the several minutes in which RP's music plays.
  18. 1999 was the last season that the radar area was used.
  19. I believe Swoop was one of the names under consideration before the Paramount buy-out.
  20. No restriction. Like Buddha said, it's just more oxygen per breath then one would get from breathing air. And what makes something addictive? Having to have it? I think oxygen qualifies.
  21. That's because they don't. I think he was being sarcastic about pkiboy's information.
