  1. LOL, you have the train going right through the coaster's station. Might cause it to derail. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm assuming that particular section is a bridge for the train to go under. I will play with it more, but I have my 21 month old to attend to for the evening. I won't be back on to photoshop until he goes to sleep. This is fun, I appreciate all the suggestions. I'll be reading from my phone for the next five hours. OH...I can't wait to play with this again. haha.
  2. WOW. I'm impressed. I've got to get this NoLimits Coaster Simulator. That was amazing.
  3. By golly, I know I'm the only one obsessed by this (Right?? heehee), but I feel after 24 hrs of hacking at my Photoshop...I feel that I have finally got it right. This has got to be close to the FINAL LAYOUT. IMO. I don't think it's gonna be a woodie, but something that can fly over the WWC reservoir. I don't know technical jargon, but I truly feel this will only cross the tracks near the Train entrance. I don't think it will cross anywhere else so this is going to be a smaller, short riding coaster, maybe Adventure Express style. I feel the point where the coaster will turnaround and return back to the station will happen somewhere near where they shoot the water cannons at WWC. Again, this is an Artist rendition and this photo is for entertainment purposes. Look at your own risk. KI Project 2017 FINAL by KingsIsland1972, on Flickr
  4. I tried this again using a Bing map and I was able to find the Train Tracks better and the WWC was more defined. Again, just a fan of Kings Island enjoying playing with photoshop. It was also easier to line up where the Train enters and exits the station over the tracks by the station. The rest falls into place on it's own. This photo is strictly for entertainment purposes. 5. Wouldn't a coaster that can punch a lot of speed have long straightaways to impact the speed? This obviously doesn't have all the curves and fancy loops, but wouldn't it be awesome to have two of the fastest coasters side by side? The Beast as a Woodie and then a Steel/Woodie Coaster that would reclaim the speed record or maybe even the longest coaster record? Then they can claim they have them both side by side. Just say'n!
  6. I tried a different perspective with the same layout. I still can't see them taking out RFYLCB. I thought the one part of the layout would be a bridge for the train before it hits the station. The other, I thought they would use the terrain on the other side of the tracks to go down into the valley and and then have enough momentum to send the car back home to the station. I'm not an expert...just a fan playing with photoshop. KI PROJECT 2017 by KingsIsland1972, on Flickr
  7. So, you think the KI would deliberately take out one of the original rides of the park: Race For Your Life Charlie Brown? It's a fan favorite for Parents & Children alike. Preposterous! Check Off NOT getting the Golden Ticket Award next year!
  8. I did the same thing on the KIE Facebook post. Except I have it going in a different direction. I'm on my phone, not sure if i can post that photo. You almost have it. Let's just say....bye bye Crypt building.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  9. I removed my post from the site. I apologize, but I was only quoting my source. In respect to KI, that someone exposed the plans, I don't know much about coasters so I really don't know what it means or what kind of attraction it is.
  10. I apologize for my post. The plans were exposed by Kings Island Expo on Facebook. I took down my post myself out of respect to Kings Island.
  11. Thank you BoddaH1994. To be honest, it was very enjoyable. I just wanted a place to discuss what everyone like/disliked about the weekend.
  12. Hello All. I think there should be a Google Doc Survey that is given out to Enthusiasts after an event within the week of the "Occasion" from the Theme Park Involved. All for: THE GOOD...THE BAD...& THE UGLY of the event. I have a few things I would like to share with our host: Kings Island. What kind of questions and/or concerns would you want to see asked and what would your response be if you could ask one Question & Answer it. Feel free to quote and answer each other's questions & reviews. Let's all start with "COASTERSTOCK 2016!" My praise is that I enjoyed that the schedule wasn't stacked on top of each other and there were hours of down time in between behind the scene tours and ERTs. I was able to relax and enjoy the sights without feeling rushed or hurried.
  13. Huh, didn't know it was new. I actually had the Heinz BBQ sauce yesterday at IMS with my chicken tenders, along with their honey mustard. The chicken was surprisingly good, and the sauces were good enough.I had the Heinz BBQ sauce on Friday at Potatoworks for the first time with my chicken in Rivertown. I felt the chicken has a very boring coating and the dipping sauce almost saved it, but it wasn't enough IMO. It's mediocre at best. It's nothing I'd run to the store to buy. If we could discuss the pizza, it's going downhill fast. Either I'm getting old and I'm losing my taste buds or park food is becoming more and more bland. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  14. The actual one, (and I heard it from the horses mouth) was located in Congo Falls. Yes...that was an AMAZING scavenger hunt. I'll never get tired Tweeting: #kiscavengerhunt & #coasterstock lol!Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
  15. I think it's genius. My feelings are this. I'm a master at the bank a ball game. I will spend less than $10 to win my two prize limit. I'm disappointed that there is a 2 prize limit per year at KI and at CP there is not, but anywho...I'm the kind of guy that will drop money to win something and play until I get it also. I felt when I saw this two weeks ago, that, what happens to that impulse player that plays and plays, and loses and loses and won't stop until he's out of cash or...(you following me?)...he plays until he wins what he wants, but, when the cash runs out NOW he has to have a recharge card....so you take the same guy that has the impulse playing habit that drops the cash in the bucket and he now has to walk away from the game to go recharge the card and return. Why is this genius? Because hopefully he'll have enough sense to realize how much money he's invested and will maybe think twice before returning. I know that people have different addictions and winning carny games is one of them...You know...beating the house where they have the edge. The next time you go to the Casino, take a look around the Blackjack Table and real close you'll find an ATM for those who can't just walk away so easily.
  16. I had on the soft open a Burrito Bowl with Chicken from Hanks with chips and Salsa. I will say that I was very pleased with the amount of food you get as I compared it to something similar in my neighborhood called Hot Heads Burritos. The only thing I can say that made it over the top spectacular was that I used my salsa that was on the side for my chips in my bowl and I thought I was in Heaven. Great meal, great service at Hank's and I just love and I can't emphasize enough that I LOVE having unlimited drinks this year. I have decided that I will carry it with me as much as possible and then get a locker for it to ride Banshee, Firehawk and Flight of Fear. Most everything else has bins.
  17. With all sincerity Mr Terp, thank you. I am taking the State of Ohio Board Exam for Real Estate in two weeks and I am back Full Time starting Tuesday for Spring Semester to become an ASL In"Terp"reter. (see what I did there?) Learning funny from the best Mr Terp. I'm already looking to schedule myself for a few trips to Dollywood with Coaster Crew in March and April to give myself a much needed Mini-Vacation and then KI in May. My soon to be ex wife had a lot to do with me also having to leave early this Season from KI. But that for another time. Staying positive.
  18. Hey...I was in there too. I haven't been on KIC in such a long time due to being a Full Time college student and currently going through a divorce fighting for custody for my son. I had the best experience at KI EVER inside Blackout and everyone is right. The first weekend...was just blah trying to keep the guest moving as we were instructed to just "be a wall". BUT...it improved vastly each week and I never had so much fun in my all my life as I did spooking guest in my "scare zone". Thank you KI for giving me the opportunity to have been part of the new and innovative attraction for KI HAUNT! It was the best job ever!
  19. I understand the reasoning for having or wanting a no boo necklace. I agree that if you don't want to be scared or jumped at that's your prerogative. What you don't realize is that with your glowing pumpkin that illuminates everything within 20 feet of you, you're ruining the Haunt for everyone else. This is not to be rude or insensitive toward you, but such as BLACKOUT, you're assigned to a rope and if your group gets added to another group, say 5 to 7 people, (which is not by your choice) the magic is gone. Everything is illuminated and it's not effective. It also goes for those with cell phones. "Hey, I'm in a dark maze and can't see because that's part of the attraction, so, let me be the hero and whip out my cell phone so I can ruin it for everyone else." It's a losing battle, and I know this for a fact because I hear what is said and my heart goes out to people who have their experience totally ruined by someone else acting out in a manner that's immature and sometimes inappropriate after having to wait 90 minutes. I feel if it's at all possible, which I'm not sure it is, but if you are a boo necklace wearer, then you should have a special line you get in that is for you only and either you and your family goes in together or you wait until there are several of you boo folk and you go in alone. That way it's two separate experiences for everyone. Ones who don't want to be scared with their family and those who aren't annoyed by those with those no boo necklaces and want to have the bejezus scared out of you. Those who assist others with wheelchairs or help assist those with walking disabilities to navigate the maze is 100% totally understandable. This is just MY OPINION. Not anybody else's. Happy Haunting...Carry On!
  20. Blackout will only get better with age! Keep coming back each weekend to get drunk in the fright of what lurks in the shadows of your fears! I'll keep you in the Dark with that!
  21. Maybe it's based on intensity of visual effects. Slaughter House 5 out of 5 being visually bloody. Blackout...you can't see a thing. But all I can say is that if you've ever been afraid of the dark and can admit not wanting to get up and check on a noise you hear outside your room or in the basement....then Blackout should rank 10 out of 5. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
  22. I like what you wrote, but you should. Change the contrast so that everyone can read it! I Like that you Liked what I Like to write about...but it's in BLACKOUT INK. It was a test to see who can see in the dark.
  23. I have truly enjoyed reading everyone's posts the past month about BLACKOUT packed with your predictions and theories of what lurks inside those walls...waiting for you to face your deepest, darkest fears that lies well within your soul. What made you afraid of the dark when mommy and daddy kissed you goodnight, turned out the lights and closed your door to your room? You dreaded that moment every....single....NIGHT! You lay still, holding your breath, beads of sweat dripping from your forehead as you taste the saltiness of your tears seeping onto your lips and stinging your tongue, hoping that whatever it is, doesn't find you under the covers and whisks you away forever into another World. If you haven't outgrown it then...you haven't outgrown it now! Just keep on letting your mind wonder a bit more as we arrive closer to the reveal of the unknown. That's my take. That's what I feared every night as a child in ANY dark room. Opening Night is THIS FRIDAY at 6 PM!!!!! I hope you all are right and it's exciting as you all make it out to be.
  24. Dread that something catastrophic is about to happen? Does the fear of the unknown terrify you? What would you do if the lights went out? Find out in Blackout! I CAN'T WAIT !!!
  25. Drats!!!! I can't SWIM!!! Congrats on the NEW Addition to the Park KI! I still Love Ya. Maybe offer free hour of swim lessons once a week for a month before the park opens from May to June. Hmmmm?
