  1. This is why I love this group so much. I love all of you!!!! I'm here in a dilemma and BADLY IN need of a Cedar Point Ticket and everyone's ADHD kicked in and we're talking about water. You guys and gals haven't changed a bit over the years. I'm also a photographer and would be willing to do $200 worth of photography plus prints for ONE TICKET to CP on MONDAY JULY 6th. Can I work out a deal with anybody? I will do your Senior Portraits for you or your children, I will do your Family Portrait or you name it...I'll take care of you. Please let me know as this trip with my friends might not take place because I was the one with the Truck who could take everyone there safely and back and they were counting on me. They are already paying for my hotel rooms each night. I'm just dealing with my divorce and it's cost me SO MUCH MONEY that I'm constantly broke all the time. I return the money into my business or my lawyer to get custody of my son. Look squirrel.
  2. Thank you for the advice. The Meijers option looks great to get all day drinks. I'm on my mobile so won't type much. I appreciate your help and none of my friends are season pass holders. So, I'm on my own. I can't wait to go. I made the mistake on the subject line as its for Monday 7/6
  3. Hello Everyone. I am going through a divorce and have been fighting for custody for my son since last October. This weekend is my first weekend out with friends and we're going to Cedar Point Monday. My day starts at Red White & Boom in Columbus Friday and then to Canton, Ohio where I am an Alumni for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps and us Alumni started a group called Rhythm In Blue and will be performing (trumpet) with the Bluecoats for their Fireworks Celebration Saturday Night. Then my friends have an open day Sunday in Sandusky and I don't have much money except for food and I've volunteered to be the days photographer instead of paying for attractions and on Monday we're all going to CP but I don't have my ticket yet and was hoping somebody might have one they could sell to me please. It's my first trip EVER to CP and as a loyal KI Season pass holder, I haven't been able to enjoy it much as I watch my 10 month old daily (which caused me to miss Coasting for Kids this year) and then every other weekend I am the videographer for my Church for the online broadcast around the world. So, this was a one week ago decision and I thought I could come up with enough cash to get me there but something came up and had to pay a bill. I have the food option pass here at KI and the lady said it was $155 extra to upgrade, so I decided that just a ticket will do. Please, if you have an extra or spare or your work offers discount tickets other than the Weekday price from CP for $46...could you call or text me Please? 937.238.4252 I'm in the New Carlisle/Medway/North of Dayton Area and will be happy to meet this afternoon or evening. Thank you for allowing this post. I usually post photos on here and haven't because of the stress of the divorce and spending as much time with my son as possible. ~Brian
  4. Thank you Malem. My email was sent into cyberspace to her. I hope it's not too late. I am having a horrible year. I Married in September last year and by December, my wife was ready to call it quits. I know I was her rebound from an Ohio guy she moved out from Cali to be with and his five year old daughter. When she finally moved here, he didn't want her and I think I got caught up in all that drama and found out things later that would support that and her history as I was her rebound. So, I really neeeeed this day out. We're also having a baby in August 24 - Sept 1st, it's changed twice now. lol. She doens't understand why we put ourselves through all this to just ride coasters all day. I love her, but it's not enough to fight with her trying to rationalize what it means to all of us here as I'm a coaster Geek. Thanks again. Didn't mean to rant. I have nobody to talk to. We live seperately and I come to the park alone. It's sad and I'm depressed about it. I did start my GoFundMe account to help me raise the funds to go. Here is my link: http://www.gofundme.com/9tgbiw If anybody could share this for me I greatly appreciate it very much. Thank you.
  5. I have been on here since after work today wanting to register for this as I didn't realize that it was this Sunday (I work so much and didn't realize the date came up so fast). Please tell me that I didn't miss the registration. I haven't missed in two years and this year I'm married now but my wife is pregnant and she is not a rider that understands what it is that do all day and enjoys it. Please can somebody help me? I don't want to miss out on this. Thank you.
  6. Well...My first day back to KI was Media Day. And so, my first "tasty treat" ended up pulling me out of the middle of the ride line of Banshee. I had an Oj and donut. I was starving and didn't want to ride on an empty stomach. That said, I ended at the back of the line and missed riding the Banshee in the dark of the morning. Now on a positive note (eveything we did on Media Day was a positive note)..lol, I can say I was the first to ride Banshee at Sunrise. Chicken Shack might become a quick favorite. It was delish and the dipping sauce HIT THE SPOT! Shout out to the Texas Toast that came with the meal. Yummmy Fun Filled Day! heehee. (Oh, I had a Banshee Twist Cone for every ride I took on the Banshee to Celebrate)(4)
  7. I know I'm ready to dig into a Big Bowl of Banshee Ice Cream and A HUGE Juicy Burger From the Reds Hall Of Fame Grille! What's Your Tasty Treat???
  8. Hello everyone. I signed up with the CoasterCrew but can't find where to RSVP for the media event. Help? Thanks.
  9. When I did it last year, I had a little fanny pack and it was a life saver. I wish I had brought some kind of gum or mints for in between rides. I wouldn't suggest eating candy while the train is moving of course. You get a little dry but last year they provided bottled water. Also, I wished I had brought lip balm, aspirin and a better pair of sunglasses. I had a sun visor, but it was a challenge trying to keep it on at all times. But first and foremost...Bring Your Smiles and a bag full of Fun because it will be the best day of your life riding for a great cause as Kings Island does it BEST!!! p.s. Bring a phone charger to plug-in at lunch. You'll need it if you want to make it to the end of the day.
  10. To everyone who assisted me in my dilemma yesterday in purchasing tickets online, I have officially purchased my ticket in the online store. I want to thank all my fellow KIC'ers for your support and I must say there isn't a finer group of people out there who have been more willing to help a total stranger. (well...not really a stranger, because we're KIC'ers, but you know what I mean) You're all to me an elite group of individuals that I'm proud to be called a member of: Kings Island Central. Thank you and see you there Saturday 15th, @8am.
  11. Anyone got connections to Cedar Fair IT? Malem, thank you again for offering. I do have a paypal account and if it doesn't go through tomorrow night, I'll be glad to send you my paypal email info. You're an amazing person to help out like this. Thank you again. Goodnight.
  12. I appreciate you all for your help. I will try tomorrow night. If not, I'd be more than happy to meet somewhere to pay cash and the fee after work. I work in Springboro and plan on being at KI this weekend. You all are Awesome and I have NOOOOO problems trusting my fellow KIC'ers. Thank you all again. I'm going to go save the night and edit some of my daughters graduation photos now. Goodnight all.
  13. I'm not one to complain, but I had to work 10hrs today, drive 35 minutes home and sat here on my laptop for 3 HOURS installing, uninstalling, installing the latest Adobe Flash for my computer and I STILL CAN NOT GET ON TO PURCHASE A TICKET. I've blown off family and friends for dinner and company tonight to purchase two tickets that I still don't have and would have THREE HOURS AGO had this been an easier process. I want to be there more than anything and I wanted to do something nice for me & treat myself to something nice for Fathers Day. My daughter just graduated this past weekend, I've been a stressed mess for the past two months making sure she had the best party ever and I totally forgot to sign up for GKTW CFK. When I went to do so last week, it was too late. Now I feel it's going to be the same thing for me with this fiasco of a online store. Everything always has to be difficult. Ok. Sorry to rant, but I'm tired of trying tonight. I hope there will be two tickets left for me tomorrow when I try on my friends computer after work. I don't know what else to do.
  14. I'm afraid I will miss the chance to purchase my ticket as to the "mystery time" of when they go on sale to the public. I have to work Friday & Saturday to make up for the Holiday. ( I'm a shipping clerk at a warehouse and we're still processing orders ), so, I won't be able to hangout online all day waiting. Is there a way we can be notified prior to them "just" going on sale? Please count me in. I have my Credit Card in my hand and I'm waving it all around to purchase mine. Thank you.
  15. I have a daughter graduating Sunday the 2nd and my resources have had her attention, If you know what I mean. I had planned to join today on payday but the site said it has reached it's limit. I want to do this as it will be my 2nd year and I'm really sad that I missed the cutoff. My daughters grad party is the Saturday the 8th as having KI only an hour away it would make since but Cedar Point still has openings. I have to be real with myself. I don't see myself at her party till Midnight and then driving all the way to CP to participate although I'm determined to make this happen. I guess what I'm getting at is....Is there a standby list in case somebody fails to show up or cancels their spot for KI Coasting for Kids? Because, I'll sign up for Cedar Point but if an opening came about, could I switch parks? It's just that it's my daughters graduation. I would have already signed up but I had to take care of her first. Is there anybody that can answer my question and help me out? Thank you. ~Brian
  16. If anybody was there to witness this in person...could somebody please discribe the sounds it made coming down and your final thoughts as it happend. I would have been there if I had known Today was the Day. I'm very sad to see this go.
  17. All I can say is that it is coming down 100xs faster than I ever thought. Truly with the magnitude of this coaster I sincerely thought it would have been Spring before we'd seen that last of it to retire. Is it Possible...Just Possible, with our Mild Ohio Winters, that we could see something "NEW" by May 2013 in it's place? Diamondback didn't take long. I still think a "Graveyard" Park would be Awesome. All the Old Rides that have been retired come back to life All NEW again...(Antique Cars)lol. I'd also love to have a Boardwalk themed area for us "older" folks. More Family rides, a roller skating rink with an old time organ playing & such. Just my thoughts. I don't post much except in Random Photos so I wanted to give my 2cents.
  18. That would be amazing. It would offer a chance for everyone to experience attractions of old. I would love to have a wild mouse like *Bavarian Beetle (look in your quote! ), because that is something the park is sorely missing. Your idea sounds great, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't sound feasible. Help....Not reading into what I'm missing that you say I'm missing that's missing from what the park is missing. I must be missing it!
  19. I've said it once...and I'll repeat it again. I honestly would love to have a Nostalgia Area. I'm thinking an area that resurrects old rides from the past. You know...kinda like a Roller Coaster Graveyard that has come alive to relive the good old days again. Imagine...Walking through a graveyard entrance with Tombstones of "King Cobra"-"Antique Cars"-"The Bat" and so on....and then...there they are...Standing before you as if you were in a dream. The rides that were old are made new again. Screamin' Demon, Barbarian Beetle, Enchanted Voyage, Flying Carpets & Winsome Witch's Cauldron just to name a few. Even throw in a Roller Skating Rink with the Old Pipe Organ. I'm just saying...for the amount it costs for one "GIANT COASTER"...you can do all that for a fraction of the cost or for equal. More is More, Right? Just a thought. p.s. I would also like to see an area that shows a film of the History of Kings Island. Nice for those days you need a/c and a cool beverage and a seat.
  20. When was KIC Day??? And why didn't I get invited??? Hmmmph!
  21. Does anyone know if FunPerks will carry through Haunt or will they expire on Labor Day Weekend? Thank you. That is all.
  22. LONG LIVE THE Son of Beast!!! Now that we'll have more space...(grunt),(umph)...(pushing the white elephant out of the room), Would you mind bringing back the Antique Cars? Thank you in advanced!
  23. They did. It tasted like a caffeine infused Mello Yello and was delish. I read this article and I guess we'll have to pack up the car and head to Norway if we want another bottle of it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surge_(soft_drink) I kinda would like a bottle of Fruitopia myself
  24. We sat facing Days of Thunder Cars in the middle between the exit and control booth.
