  1. We'll see if he was close (just off by a year) in a few short days. Well thank you very much Goodyellowkorn182, yes it is I, PizzaBaby027. I've made predictions before, SOB being torn down Actually the question mark placed behind somewhere kind of indicates SOB, worlds longest coaster being built and last year I posted that B&M were scaling the land around SOB. Anyway thank you for keeping to your word. Its great to know that one of my predictions have come to pass. Hmm. A search of the members list for "PizzaBaby027" finds no match, and the quoted post (which can be seen by clicking the arrow on the right side of the quote header) shows the username beginning with "Guest", meaning that you were permanently banned and the account was deleted. So my question to you is: Did the admins give you permission to return? Yes

  3. I hope someone from the site attends at the announcement and records and posts the video here so those who can't make it to the park can see.
  4. I don't understand how people think that every darn tweet by Don has something to do with project 2014....who knows, this won't be his last tweet today. Seriously people, if Don tweeted I like apples, do you? You all would be " OMG the new coaster is about apples, omg, then 50 posts about darn apples" My god, do you guys not read the rules. I mean I understand I cursed a bit but I am making a point. Also for those wondering I've been on this site since 05 under a different name so don't think that I am one of those new members ranting.
  5. I know I skipped a lot but I just have to respond to this. Sir, please learn to spell and write. You obviously have not been reading this thread. Do you think we don't know about the signs? Trademark name? Screamscape as stated before gets most of its information right here and if you actually paid any attention to anything you would know that the CEO of Cedar Fair has clearly stated that no park will be getting a wing coaster anytime soon. I am sorry but you have utterly made me ****ed. It is as if you think you know more and you tell us we are wrong even though we have been on this case for quite sometime now. Please read before you post foolish things, and again learn to spell and write. You sound very uneducated.
  6. So far it is easy to say that we are getting a coaster, a new bathroom, a remodel/new food location and a revamp of Action Zone. I do believe we will be seeing a return of "Action Zone". Anyway I'd say more but I would probably get kicked off as I have before but anyway lets all relax.
  7. It seems to me that the Octoberfest gardens have been cleared and now have a lot of open space. Maybe and hopefully they remove Sling Shot. have that area be the entrance. The area right next to Delirum by the so called lift hill may be for the queue line. I've made predictions before and sadly they have been removed. So here goes another try!
  8. I think I just figured it out, I am looking at a bing map and drew out where the footers are heading. The triangle footers and what not, according to what I see, seem to have the first lift rise into coney mall and dip right in the field next to racer and FOF and then take a turn back to the old SOB land clearing. OMG this is exciting. This is just my opinion but looking at the footers and the direction this seems to be and this is the best possible scenario! Actually looking at it more it seems that the dip may rise back up and the turn to go back to the cleared land may be by DA!
  9. Here are my two cents..... What if the footers we see now going toward, say AE, then maybe the lift hill will rise until it hits by the tower gardens and the drop hill dives in the old tower gardens and another hill next to Flight of Fear and Racer!! Whoa!! Crazy idea
  10. I do not understand why Kings Island has, if they build according to what we see, built the entrance to this new attraction where they have because it totally blocks off any new path for a new expansion. They I realized that the old road, where the cobra footers are, could become a new pathway for the new expansion KI could create. Take a look, the path would follow the old SOB path, possiblity's for new food locations, restrooms, new rides a glore. Anyway, total BS right now but it is a thought of mine. Remove Sling Shot and create a beautiful scenery. Get that hunk of thin metal out of there. So ya this is all very exciting to me and probably others as well. We are getting something that will make Kings Island noticed again!!
  11. Good news to hear but sad, something from my childhood is gone!! Kings Island will be very different now!! I hope that they give pieces of the track away throughout the offseason. I think that would be wild, to forever have a piece of history. A coaster of 7 world record breakers! I'd love that, to have a piece of Son of Beast!
  12. I agree, now in past posts I stated my opinion, in a rather harsh tone may I add. In reality if it hasn't be announced to the public it doesn't exist. Nothing has been announced about its fate so we will leave it at that. I'll follow up on this fellows statement. It is wishful thinking but observations on the parks trend point towards an Action Zone revamp. This is true ,we can already see it but as to what the change will be, it is unknown but wishful thinking never hurt anyone
  13. I am split, I would like to see something new but then again I love the authenticity of it. I was given a tour of the upstairs. I was shown the old executive dining room, the old conference room, ect. An upgrade to the entrance but not an overhaul with an entire new building.
  14. I went down the the park on Saturday. So let's take a walk starting at the entrance. The new entrance is amazing, landscaping is great. The new fencing is very nice, feels very inviting. I love the new paint jobs, everything is colorful and not dull in the least. The new signs are great, the names I think are nice. Some generic, like breakers bay, same as Cedar Point. But I like the names. The new wave pool, is amazing. Free tubes, I was told by a lifeguard that if you see a tube by someones chair you are allowed to take it. They do not have the right to keep it to themselves since they did not pay for it, so I did. The waves are bigger than I expected. Not as great as the Beach's wave but then again it is different machines, and deeper. I like the fountains and sprayers on the edges of the pool. Now as far as the action river, I did not like it. I LOVED IT. I love the new entrance, the colors, landscape. I got a good sunburn too, not as bad as lasts years from the Beach. Funny enough was the same day one year ago. Overall I was very happy with the park. Cannot wait to see what the park does to Action Zone next year. Saving the best for last, and from the overhaul they gave BB it will be big and great. So......in comparison to the Beach, Kings Island's Soak City is so much better.
  15. New direction.........new CEO of Cedar Fair, now giving more freedom of general managers. If you have been to the park lately you will notice a big change in everything. Things are becoming more "Kings Island" and not so much "Cedar Fair". Remember how Paramount had their name on EVERYTHING. Everything was the same, now we are seeing a shift, of course we did when CF took over, in uniforms and areas of the park. Signs, ect. The food choices are amazing, new menus for all stands, new games, better and specialized uniforms. Simply go to the park and you will understand "New direction of management". Greg Shied is now the actual manager and not just the puppet for the head quarters. Also along the lines of Greg I feel he has finally become comfortable in the park and feels as if it were his own now. It takes time to leave a park that you worked at for so long and to have that park be your sister park. You can see a major shift which I am so happy for.
  16. If I recall correctly Mr.Oumiet made a statement that I rather enjoyed. I am not going to quote it because I do not remember the order of the sentence but it when something along these lines. You can't go back to the old ways of thing only use the idea and expand upon it. So for example, Kings Island was great in the 80s but returning the park to the state would be foolish, take in account what they(Taft/KECO) did. Use some concepts and ideas but build from that and away, and create a whole new generation that someday will be remembered as the 80s were. I feel, no I know, we are entering a new generation for Kings Island. A new age is upon the park and I am very excited!
  17. I believe firmly that Action Zone will receive a total revamp, design, makeover. Every major, update, section has already seen a total refurbishment. International Street has already seen some work, Octoberfest will receive something once Feshaus finishes its transition. So Action Zone is left, and as the old saying goes, save the best for last. This revamp of Action Zone will be huge, most expensive and the biggest the parks seen.
  18. Kings Island still has the rights to Nickelodeon until 2017 and most likely still own the rights to Scooby, and since Scooby is a main part of Kings Island creation and park itself I wouldn't see why they wouldn't include him for the 40th Anniversary. Nickelodeon has been with the park for about 15 or more years. I like the idea of having all the old characters back and not just Snoopy, since Snoopy is new to the park!
  19. Well to answer your latter question Kings Island is who determines the temperature in which you are able to ride. 40 below and you can't ride the coasters. Anyway I find WCPO to be most accurate.
  20. Temptation, alas my curiosity has vanished. Mary Jane is not a drug and it is healthier/better than tobacco.
  21. I won't say the name because it seems unnecessary to post about it on KICentral but smoking cigs, cigars, Mary Jane, is fine in moderation.
  22. It really depends on how much you smoke, and not all smoking is bad. It depends on what you smoke as well.
