  1. As far as multiple parks, two of us used our platinum passes at CP on a Sunday morning and KI later that same evening with no issue last year.
  2. I have no doubt you were told that...but I also am skeptical.
  3. I had a confirmation email that had a link for re-printing the voucher. You could ask her to forward that.
  4. As others said, KI is going to try to maximize profits, so they've surely taken the idea that sharing will happen (against the rules of the wristband, if there are any, or not) into account. They're obviously targeting a certain demographic with the wristband. Most likely, me. I carry around the same bottle of water all day and fill it up at fountains. I don't need soft drinks, I have water. I actually drink a lot of water and there's no chance I would pay $30+ for the equivalent volume of soft drinks during a day. I am also not interested in carrying around the oversized souvenir cup. However, I will pay $5 for a wristband that lets me get the 20oz drinks on demand. So, the park has $5 more than it used to have, at a cost of very little--fountain drinks are extremely cheap for them to provide. The only real question is how much they are losing from the people who would have spent $30+ on drinks, and are now spending only $5. I'm sure they've crunched the numbers and probably continue to do so.
  5. I guess I'm halfway in between on the theme issue. I am not from this area and moved to Indiana in 1996. My first visit to KI was in 1997. Compared to, for example, Worlds of Fun, I found the theme a little weak, even under Paramount. Some of it was good--I liked Outer Limits but did get tired of the looped video after waiting in line for hours during a breakdown. Some of it was so-so or just dumb. Still, given a choice between (to take LLTSM's position) Diamondback with no snake theme and re-named to "Roller Coaster", and some lesser coaster (say Vortex) with a totally tricked-out theme, I'd take Roller Coaster any day of the week. The rides are king to me. I realize not everyone has the same take.
  6. I have seen them managing the two queues at KI, at not only Diamondback but also even Vortex. And as others have mentioned, they do it at CP as well, but of course there are more "headline" attractions there. It definitely does not guarantee you instant access to the ride, ahead of everyone else in the standby (for lack of a better term) line.
  7. They were not only watching--they asked what the plan was and were told that the youngest was staying there (since she was obviously not tall enough to ride).
  8. We saw a family of five wait in line for Diamondback. The youngest girl was MAYBE 5, and was carried up the steps, asleep, by the father. The parents and the two older children rode, while the youngest was told to wait for them at the exit gate.
  9. They were selling them anywhere that had fountain drinks last Sunday (6/3). I agree it doesn't seem like a good deal for them, so maybe it was an experiment. I didn't check yesterday (6/10) if they were selling them because we weren't going to be there long enough to use it.
  10. Again, there are two different wristbands. One is for refills of the souvenir cup. The other is for unlimited 20oz cups. Both are $5. We were told that the 20oz cup version cannot be used at the Freestyle machines, so it may be that souvenir cup refills cost more there as well.
  11. We have two season passes. Have not managed to be able to link them yet so we try to concentrate our spending on one card. A few meals so far, some candy and ice cream. Maybe $100 spent in the park, and three visits for each card. Neither has leveled, but the card with the spending does have a few new offers including 50% off Fast Lane.
  12. We redeemed our funperks coupon at the funperks booth that is just inside the park entrance and to the left. Right by the photo station.
  13. Invertigo was running Sunday night as well.
  14. We stopped in last night on our way back from Cedar Point. Diamondback was absolutely running and you can see the new concrete that has been poured around the ride photo area.
