  1. We have been to KD,KI and Carowinds many times so far and had no issues. Just seems to be a CP issue. One if our passes was processed at KD and works perfectly at KI so its not just a KI platinum that is having the issues.
  2. Chug, First time all the passes were denied and shown as single use. (No idea) Second time it showed she had already been in the park. The last two times I not sure. Big red x, a screen with a bunch of info and a trip to their supervisor for 10 minutes then we get in. And something interesting I just noticed. In the CP Soak City parking lot amongst the other utility markings is a place that says "gate". It's straight south of the current gate about 200'. Hopefully a SC expansion in the works. It could use some love.
  3. And our 4th visit to CP with platinum's this year and our 4th time we have had pass problems. This is getting old. Has happened now on renewal and a new pass this year.
  4. CP is having issues with platinum's bought at other parks. We went to KI, KD and Carowinds and had no problems. Went to CP and was denied. Passes somehow pulled up as single use only (or so they said) and we had to go to processing to get them fixed. Next trip, two of our 7 came up as already used that day. Will find out Sunday what we will get this time.
  5. Finally! Someone else to join me on #TeamPile.... Welcome.
  6. That's freaking hilarious but couldn't be any truer.
  7. Piles are sized for the load they will carry. I highly doubt they will be cutting and welding those beams on site to build a station. Most steel is going to come prefabbed for steel structures. There may be occasional field modded pieces but cutting those in the field does not make economical sense. I'm calling piles or part of a retaining wall since they almost all appear to be the same length.
  8. Looks more like piles to me. Drive em deep so it doesn't fall over in soft soil. Google them.
  9. Cedar Point is out of room? Hardly. There is still plenty if room. KI will never surpass CP as CF will always keep it as it's flagship park. Granted you should never say never but it's highly unlikely.
  10. Because Mason water tastes nasty and as water only drinkers, it needs all the filtering it can get. (Which still doesn't help much)
  11. Those are for footings that are on a grade. (Incline)It's so they don't slide down a hill.
  12. That would explain the pink markers on the ramp from 270E to 71S on the south side!
  13. Depends on the ride. Diamondback, 10 is easy. Beast, not so much. Motion sickness, smoothness of the ride and ita forces all play large roles in this.
  14. This is the first season in several years I have not had a SF Gold SP. Labor Day 2014 I purchased 4 Gold and 3 meal plans for 2015, then promptly in November my wife was fired and we had to move. We didn't get to use them at all. The boys and I moved up here in June 2015 so we just got Zoombezie Bay passes because my youngest still wasn't into rides. Between CF and Zoo passes I am about in for about $1400, so for now I just want to focus on using them and dropping the pounds so I can actually ride. Certainly will get them when we get a hankering for visiting SFSTL on a trip back home. Since we are so close to Canada now I will work on the passport cards but that will still be another $120 at least for the whole family.. Thanks for the input folks! CF platinums + dinning. I'm in $1800... And my wife is the perfect Cedar Fair pass and meal plan patron. The food and visit is paid for so she spends instead on other items in the parks.
  15. We do the Kings Dominion/Carowinds back to back trips regularly. A long weekend with staying at a hotel halfway between the two overnight is very doable. The drive back sucks if you have to work Monday....
  16. I've wondered the same thing. I don't doubt the validity of the plans we've seen, though. My guess is that, on this site especially, people are more sensitive to the park's desires and want to respect the park's supposed wishes. I say supposed because nobody from the park has (at least publicly, that I've seen) requested that the information that is public record not be disseminated. That mindset seems to be prominent on KIC. There's nothing wrong with that mindset. Unless Mason prohibits publishing plans obtained through their office, I see nothing 'wrong' with doing so outside of personal views on respect for the park and its management. Except I believe the person who runs Kings Island Expo is also a member here as I have seen pictures taken by said person appear here and on the KIE Facebook page simultaneously.
  17. Chicken Shack was on point (just not Cedar) Chicken was good, fries were almost there and the line was acceptable. Granted it is a slower day at the park.
  18. Anybody here happen to be at Soak City today or maybe yesterday that can shed some light on the water temps? Still on the cool side? Heading up tomorrow and was thinking of hitting SC for a bit. Thanks.
  19. I was referring to the leaked prints. Didn't see Old Schools post.
  20. Again, has anyone even confirmed these plans actually came from where they said they did and it's not all lie?
  21. Possibly the begining of PvZ?It would make the most logical sense. Maintenance uses that building for other things.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk And "other things" can change. Not implying they are. Just saying.
  22. Possibly the begining of PvZ? It would make the most logical sense.
  23. Wouldn't you think that if the pic of said plans was legit, other people would have gone and looked at them as well and more than likely, posted more pics of them?
  24. Power is out to the back of the park. Nothing is running.
