  1. When its fresh, its good. When its not, its greasy, soggy and cold.
  2. Snoopy's was put in for the installation of the Space Buggies and gliders.
  3. Working fine for me. (Currently) It happens.
  4. They transfered one off about an hour ago and maintenance was looking at a wheel assembly.
  5. Also trees missing by Diamondback's turn into the station. The big tree stump looks hollow so might just be clearing the dead. No markers around it that I could see.
  6. I wish you could have! Windows 10 has been the biggest PITA from Microsoft I have ever had to deal with whennit comes to an OS and A/V integration and control. We are having to upgrade (yes, going backnto 7 is an upgrade)all of the machines running 10. And the "forced" updates from Microsoft are an entirely different battle.
  7. So not talking makes you more intune to information that is not public that is not told to outsiders who have no connection to the project? Guess you can learn the darndest things by reading this site! I am not questioning Terps knowledge but he has said it many times that he has no connections to the park. All the cryptic "clues" are nothing more than "It could be or could not be this or have something to so with this." All of the newbies to thw site who haven't seen his statement about this automatically think he has insider knowledge or ties to the park. Nothing wrong with it. Just confuses those who think he does. Some if the thread bumps are nice since we never would have seen them otherwise.
  8. I learn the darnest things here. O'Terpy You have stated this yourself multiple times. Just like saying "Those who know, don't talk and those who talk, don't know". Shall I search and bump those?
  9. And also remember, Terp has NO "insider" knowledge of the day to day at Kings Island. He only goes on what he knows from the industry and leaves very open ended guestions and statements about upcoming attractions. Reminds me of the TV psychics. Ki may or may not be getting a 500' tall coaster... The outcome will surprise you.
  10. Try riding "Its a Small World" at Disney without the tracks playing.....
  11. With pumps/motors as large and as expensive as these, you don't normally replace them. You send them out and have them rebuilt. Part of doing so usually involves a fresh coat of paint. You are looking at some serious cash sitting there.
  12. Where was it ever mentioned they were new pumps? The old ones are allowed to be pulled and get some love during the off season as well. Pumps also need preventative maintenance.
  13. I feel the same way. Why complain about a bit of rattle on a coaster that is named after a Rattle Snake? Consider it theming. I like it the way it is.
  14. I think Timber Falls sounds better. Timber Falls ===> Congo Falls? "Nailed" it!
  15. Falling timber? Drop Tower "falls". Drop Tower is moving to RT and being renamed to Falling Timber.... Could Congo Falls fit in the area with the basin at the near side and extend over the tracks?
  16. Kings Dominion does to. Well, its a file logo with pineapple "ice cream" so it sure looks like it. Stands were not open when we were there.
  17. You have to fell a tree in order to get wood for a woodie... You pick the manufacturer.
  18. Here's another for you Don. My daughter was two last year and just turned three a month ago. Whenni renewed our other 6 platinums in Oct, I purchased her a new one since she would now be three and require one. Can I not bring her with us? Had she beennold enough last season, she would have a renewal. Still waiting on a reply email from KI. Will have to call if no response is given by Friday. Thanks.
  19. Carowinds is open all week! Just don't speed through NC.....
  20. Not today... Hoping its just new crews but both KD and Carowinds were both slow dispatching on almost everything. They need to get their hustle up before peak season hits!Unfortunately, I-305 was the worst. Still waiting for it to dispatch. (It was closed all day yesterday) I question why you are talking about dispatch speeds on the first opening weekend... Plenty of people are new to the Rides Department in any park every year, as well as all other departments, which is why plenty of things are slow on opening day. While people get training, you still are new at the whole business of safely making sure all restraints and seatbelts are check and sending the train out. So yes, dispatching will be slow for the first few days. to weeks, maybe even the month of April. By the time it's June or July, those same people will be sending a train at a good targeted pace. Except for when the ops are slowly walking around and checking restraints at their leisure. Two parks, three days, similar experience. Some ops hustled. Others looked like they just woke up. Last year, they had hustle when we visited at the same time. Even in Planet Snoopy there were some ops that had hustle and others who were practically sleeping. You had some ops that were having fun and interacting with the riders and others who would rather have been sleeping. We hit a delay on Fury and were held right outside the station. One op was arguing with the other about having to walk out to the train and talk because it was sooooo far. That's just lazy. Wait until summer when its actually hot and guests get grumpy.
  21. Just drove through Saturday/Sunday/Monday/Tuesday and not a single cop/trooper sitting by the road and waiting was seen. We did the speed limit and were passed like we were sitting still.
  22. Hopefully CF is testing these and will roll them out on all their big B&Ms. It seemed to get people moving. Should add a countdown clock and another in the front of the stations so riders can play the game of try and beat the previous dispatch time. Safely of course.
  23. Not today... Hoping its just new crews but both KD and Carowinds were both slow dispatching on almost everything. They need to get their hustle up before peak season hits! Unfortunately, I-305 was the worst. Still waiting for it to dispatch. (It was closed all day yesterday)
  24. Carowinds now has a monitor mounted in the station showing train stats. Restraint status, dispatch time and dispatches per hour. Pretty snazzy. IMG]http://i68.tinypic.com/2ngubt2.jpg[/img
  25. Bingo! This system will PAY for itself in no time with all of the "extra" income.
