  1. At KD, they were scattered around the games and one seemed to be next to all the basketball games. They take cash or credit and are a minimum of $5. The quarter toss game of course didn't require them.
  2. Just got suckered into the new system today at KD. Daughter wanted to play ring toss. Couldn't spend a buck to play. Had to buy a card for a minimum if $5. Its basically forcing you to spend more to play but in the upside, spend $100 and get $20 for "free".
  3. We do the same trip every year only we are leaving this weekend. With it being Easter, Sunday at KD will be slow and Monday at Carowinds is pretty lite too. For KD, we stay at the Holiday Inn Express off 64 in Richmond and at the HIE one exit north if Carowinds. Both are nice hotels with free breakfast. Can't comment on cost since I always stay for free with points. Have fun!
  4. Few cycles for each ride/train on established rides and the mechanics are happy. Or until the State says they are happy. Which I believe is a certain amount of complete cycles. Terp?
  5. Got the offer every time we opened the App in the park. Never once got the coupon.
  6. I would swap Invertigo for Flight of Fear as its line is much longer than In vertigo. Looks like you have done your research. Have fun and enjoy the park!
  7. Save money if visiting frequently => yes! Save time by waiting in food lines => no. Loose weight from eating Chicken Shack once if not twice a week and walking/standing in ride lines=> um, not so much. With a family of 7, the meal plan has been a budget saver especially since they made it chain wide for platinums!
  8. I had the same thing happen prior. Just wait for the payment to be declined then click the link in the email to update your card.
  9. Full time job in the sports and entertainment industry so its not a 9-5 or M-F in Columbus and we still make it to either KI or CP almost every week during the season. Sundays are amazing as are Monday evenings.
  10. Sit in an outside seat. The antirollbacks are LOUD! I enjoy the ride. Not enough to warrant the long wait times but if we catch it with short lines, my kids and I will give it a go. But if you ride, you have to ride it Superman style!
  11. That does not appear to be the final layer of asphault. Looks more like a sub base or temporary surface. Way too rough looking to be a final.
  12. I saw Gary a few weeks back. Big shocker here, it was on Banshee....
  13. The worst part is waiting in the hour wait lines just to get a refill and then needing to get back in line since the kids just guzzzled all the water in two seconds. We gave up on ice and filtered water and just refilling at the fountains. The water tastes bad but it beats the wait. Never have we had it this bad on holidays here. This will for sure be our last visit on a Labor Day. I feel bad for those that bought tickets today and it might be their only visit. The employees that are actually working appear to not care and have no desire to actually move the people through the line. RTPW was cooking one basket of fries at a time. They have to have more than one fryer in there.
  14. Just under an hour. At least it isn't cold and old!
  15. Park is packed today. Chicken Shack line is 30+ minutes so far! This is ridiculous. The park knew they would be busy yet they are only operating half of it. Food service isn't this slow even on the busiest summer days!
  16. ^^^ This needs to happen chain-wide... As per the funnel cake guy when we visited opening day, it was not supposed to be bit was added to the park map and rather than having them all reprinted, they honored it. It wasn't even entered into the POS system so it was basically a flash your pass and get one. It makes sense since a few pennies on the cost of a funnel cake vs thousands, if not millions of reprints.
  17. Those are probably being set for Haunt. They add a boatload of lights around the park.
  18. If you go after July 1 (ish), you will both have a place to stay, as we will be living in the area!!! Check in with us regularly after you move. Wife and I are talking about it pretty seriously. I am into A/V by trade and she is a massage therapist so the area should be pretty good for work.
  19. Appears to be a stake with orange tape right in the middle of the PIC in the mulch. Hard to see on mobile.
  20. Snoopy's Junction was closed once due to a snake being on the track. Wildlife doesn't care if you get to ride or not
  21. Those markings have been there. If you look up, its where they lower the trains from in the off season. Think of it as a target.
  22. At least you were able to get the App to give you the discounts. My wife and I'd kept telling us 50% off a funnel cake after signing up but after sign up, nope. Only a discount for the Emporium. Oh well, empty calories we didn't need anyway.
  23. We take our Kings Dominion and Carowinds all the time and they try to charge us for water so I would day you are fine.
  24. Yeah, its a shame though that he knows no more about it than anyone else. Its like a TV psychic, leave everything open ended and let you (or the park) make the info known. He's never wrong because he never actually says anything. Its just a game. Remember, thoswho talk, don't know and those who know, don't talk. Haven't we been through this enough? Kings Island may or may not be getting a dark ride coaster that goes into the earth instead of the sky next year. Although wouldn't that be interesting.
  25. My kids broke me into slides. None of us had ever been. They just kept going bigger until all were done.
