  1. ^ When I was in line for Invertigo yesterday, I noticed one of the supports sway after the train went through the loop.
  2. I like Delirium; it's a fun ride. I'd like to counteract one of PhantomTheater's statements slightly: I don't think every seat gives the same experience. Yes, every seat gives a similar experience, but Seat 50 is really weird as it produces smaller rotations that cause the rider to stare at the ground most of the time. Other than this, I second PhantomTheater's statements!
  3. To add to what thekidd33 said in response to your fourth question, I'd also like to say that a night ride on Adventure Express is also amazing!
  4. I think SlingShot is pretty fun, and pretty relaxing toward the end of the ride.
  5. Mako looks cool, but this looks really cool! I was really blown away by the video and think the coolest features are the elevator lift and the unique way in which the cars spin.
  6. I saw the 5:00 show yesterday with Goble... WOW! Amazing! The new act was pretty mind-blowing... I'll have to look for the two guy acrobats during the new act next time as I was just looking at what was going on above the stage. I was bummed that Hand2Hand didn't come back, but the show was still as amazing as ever!
  7. I used to in past years; I had this weird feeling of uncertainty like "It's been 6 months since I last rode something, do I still like to ride rides?" (like I'm suddenly scared again or something) and then the answer is always yes after I ride something that first time. This year was sort-of the opposite, because my first ride of the season was Banshee in the most intense seat (last row, furthest seat). It was fun, but I think I bit off more than I could chew, especially considering I've waited an off-season to ride rides again.
  8. I don't think I've ever tried Surge, but I'd love to. I remember there was someone in one of my college classes that brought in a can of Surge from time to time and I really wanted him to share. I don't remember if I ever actually asked him about sharing, but he did tell me that it was available on Amazon.
  9. I prefer Coke (in fact, I'm finishing up a Vanilla Coke as I type this...), but I did a taste test one time and Pepsi apparently won. As for Frisch's serving Coke products, I see this as a good thing as I either get Sprite or a glass of milk when I go out to eat. At eating establishments that only serve Pepsi products, I'll most likely get Mountain Dew rather than getting a Sierra Mist (Pepsi equivalent to Sprite). I've veered from this trend at my old college food service job as I did like the fountain Pepsi.
  10. Thanks, I thought it was there, but I couldn't quite remember.
  11. Just curious, where was Backlot's on-ride camera?
  12. Also, I believe Race for your Life, Charlie Brown has on-ride cameras.
  13. Good stuff; reminds me of when I rode Spiderman at Universal.
  14. Yup. Jesse's at Banshee; I know this because he checked my restraint when I rode last night.
  15. My KI coaster guilty pleasures are Flight of Fear and Flying Ace. FoF has been sort of rough lately (mostly I'm referring to last season), yet I keep riding because somehow I really want to like it, but then it's just more of the usual. Flying Ace has a similar story, though I don't ride it as much. Although it's not a coaster, I'd also say The Crypt was definitely a guilty pleasure of mine when it was around because even though it had a tamer ride cycle for the last few years, I still (somewhat) enjoyed it, despite remembering what Tomb Raider was like. As for other parks, I'd say Mean Streak at Cedar Point was a guilty pleasure of mine for a short time.
  16. Bat had a 15-20 minute line around 8:30/9 PM on Opening Day, which I was very encouraged to see as this ride is usually a walk-on or a station wait.
  17. Welcome to KIC! To start off, Saturdays are usually the busiest, so try to go during a weekday if you can. Most popular rides at KI are probably Diamondback, Banshee and Beast, and I think all three are on Fast Lane Plus (see EDIT below). I say ride as much as you can and have a great day! My personal favorites are Banshee, Beast, Vortex, Firehawk, The Bat, Drop Tower, Delirium and Adventure Express. If you are staying until close (usually 10 PM), make sure to ride Adventure Express, Banshee and Beast at night as those provide a whole new experience in the dark! Although I usually go clockwise around the park, starting with Action Zone (the main thrill ride area, located to the left of the front gate), some will advise going to Flight of Fear and Firehawk first as these lines get longer as the day goes on. One of the newest rides this year is Woodstock's Gliders, which is like the Lake Erie Eagles at Cedar Point if you have ridden those (I have not) and they are a ton of fun! As for where to eat, two food locations that are unique to the Greater Cincinnati area are LaRosa's Pizza and Skyline Chili. Also, Chicken Shack has amazing Texas Toast! Also, if you don't mind me asking, which ride(s) are you most looking forward to? I apologize for the large amount of text, but I just want to give as much information as possible! EDIT: I just checked the website, and Diamondback is NOT on Fast Lane Plus, however, Banshee and Beast are.
  18. While we are talking about rides based on Nintendo IP's, I'd love to see a Pokemon themed flying coaster (or wing coaster) themed to Aerodactyl flying through ancient ruins (also featuring Xatu and Unown) and a Windshear (like a Top Spin, but with independent arms) themed to a battle between the 1st and 2nd generation legendary birds (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Ho-Oh and Lugia) that is a bit reminiscent of Tomb Raider: The Ride. These rides could all fit in The Lost Continent. Probably won't happen, but a guy can dream, right?
  19. I was thinking the other day about creating a Pokemon park on Roller Coaster Tycoon and the kid's area would be Pichu's Playground and would feature baby Pokemon like Togepi, Pichu and Wynaut. I think something like this would go great at Universal.
  20. I'm guessing this could be a retheme of Marvel Superhero Island at IOA? EDIT: I saw in the picture that there was a Charizard and Pikachu. I would LOVE to see a Pokemon attraction and I would also love it if some of the Pokemon were walk-around characters (specifically Blastoise or Hariyama!)
  21. Terp is truly "Ten outta Ten"! Makes me think of this video:
  22. I can confirm that Woodstock's Glider's are indeed snap-able. I did not snap (I'm not very good at it lol), but I definitely felt a snap when someone did during my first night ride on them (and my cousin's first overall ride on them) on the 24th. EDIT: I'd also like to give my two cents about the old set since people are comparing them to our original set. I only rode those once and I don't remember much. However, I had low expectations going into my first WG flight as my most recent flyers experience was at Stricker's Grove's. Thankfully, Woodstock's Gliders blew me away and I think it's a really fun ride! Also, I was told that night I should ride the old set since I love ours so much!
  23. Rocko's Modern Life is amazing! I have all four seasons on DVD. I have yet to watch all the episodes, but I'll get there someday.
