  1. When I saw the announcement on Twitter, I first thought Flying Eagles, but then I realized it said "attraction" and my mind immediately jumped to the idea of bringing the rock climbing wall back as it could fit in the Action Zone circle. I know the knowledge of footers on the site may not support this theory (pun intended), but it would still be a cool idea.
  2. Thanks for the trip report; sounds like you had a good time. Did Skillet play much of their new stuff from Rise?
  3. True, I just thought about that... the "riser" would fit inside the circle, but the arms (with seats) would be too long.
  4. I know this (probably) would never happen, but I'd love to see a ride like this in the Action Zone circle: http://www.thorpepark.com/rides/slammer.aspx EDIT: Link corrected
  5. I just thought of another great (mostly) non-ride related memory at Kings Island. A few years ago on Mother's Day, my cousin and I were dropped off at Kings Island and it poured down rain almost the entire day. We made the best of it, and had a blast. Specifically, I remember riding Diamondback in the rain (this is the first of two times this has occurred) and riding Woodstock's Whirlybirds and laughing our butts off.
  6. The "g" actually looks similar to Disney's font, and I just noticed the "c" looks a bit different from the other letters as well. Maybe it's just the font they chose...
  7. 47 (almost 46) days until the 2014 season begins! :)

  8. I actually liked QTV, but this sounds like it could be pretty cool -MDMC, who still remembers watching that Chaka Khan cat video while waiting in line for a ride
  9. I agree Jcgoble... I am so ready for warmer weather! Saturday's weather (in the 40's/50's) was great; I just wish it would have stuck around...
  10. I agree with Devarious about having a DJ in Action Zone. On Opening Day and the one night I went to Haunt last season, I loved hearing the great music!
  11. When I was little and didn't ride much, I loved to watch Vortex's train go through the boomerang. I seriously thought that was the coolest thing ever.
  12. Yes, Stricker's Grove is great; went for the first time last year and had a blast! If you'd like, you can check out my Trip Report from last year. Be sure to ride the Electric Rainbow (Round-Up) if you've never been on one of those types of rides before; it was fun!
  13. You know it's the off-season when you build Slingshot (the ball/cage and the operator's platform) with little building blocks and then imitate the ride cycle with said blocks For the record, this happened on Tuesday afternoon.
  14. (responding to Gplez's post with the picture of the new Backlot cars) Personally, I think those new cars look awesome and although it's not my favorite KI coaster, I'd be more inclined to give it another whirl if those new cars are in fact going to KI
  15. Nice picture of the station; the turn out of the station reminds me a bit like the start of Wild Eagle. Only 52 more days...
  16. (in response to Tuskin's "live action" post) Did someone say "live action"? Better call the Turtle Man to investigate The Bat problem in Action Zone! EDIT/NOTE: The Bat was automatically capitalized; but in this sentence, it was intended to be left un-capitalized (as in, "The Bat" I'm talking about is not necessarily referring to the ride, but the animal)
  17. Here's a pic from 2004 (I think? *See EDIT*): Fun Fact: This was my first ever profile picture on Facebook. EDIT: I'm not actually sure when the picture was taken, because the picture's file says 2008, but I'm pretty sure it's before that as this picture was taken with a disposable camera and scanned into the computer. I think it's at least from some part of the Paramount years.
  18. 54 days until Opening Day! :)

  19. I had a dream last night that I was outside the park and noticed that some parts of the skyline had changed (The Eiffel Tower was skinnier and had the top roped off; there was also another (observation?) tower ride in the direction of Action Zone (don't know for sure where it was as I could only see the skyline of the park as I was standing in the parking lot). There might have been other changes too, but I don't remember.
  20. I just read through all of the achievements and my favorites are A Premier Opportunity, Lights, Camera, Action and Still Alive and Kicking
  21. ^ Good point about the stripe being towards the top of the train. I looked at BB1's picture again after reading the above post and I now think the mystery coaster is Demon.
  22. I'm thinking it's (the first picture of the non-inverted coaster) either Vortex or Anaconda at Kings Dominion because of this picture: http://rcdb.com/92.htm# EDIT: Just realized my link just takes you the Anaconda's page and not the picture. The picture I'm referring to is the 2nd picture (a whole view of the ride when it had an older paint scheme)
  23. I really hope Blood Drums comes back for Haunt as I thought it was awesome! Also, I'm pumped that Playlist Live! is back as I really enjoyed this show last year
  24. 65 days until Banshee, Firehawk, Adventure Express, Delirium, The Beast and all the other great KI rides are open to the public! :)

  25. (in response to the picture of Banshee's car on the track) I call dibs on one of the inside seats This makes me so ready for April, though I'll most likely be experiencing Banshee's awesomeness in May. EDIT: Those trains look pretty awesome!
