  1. Taron looks amazing; it's almost like Maverick on steroids (and that's saying something as Maverick is my favorite roller coaster anywhere!)!
  2. ...aaand now I'm singing "Drop it like it's hot"! Oddly enough, I grabbed a Coke (Coca-Cola) last Saturday night and it had those lyrics on it. -MDMC, who just wanted to say that
  3. I don't remember that, but working SpiritSong last year was a blast as TFK* rawked it! TFK= Thousand Foot Krutch; they are my favorite band!
  4. I don't remember- maybe there was(?); I'm not sure...
  5. If I remember correctly, I believe blueprints were leaked on here right before Banshee's announcement.
  6. But why would they name a new ride after one of the Petting Farm pigs (seriously, that's the bigger pig's name)? Hmmm... Related to that, what if the ride is Sam the Butcher themed? I'm not seeing a lot of evidence for this, but I also haven't seen Gator or Sam on here very much lately... -MDMC, just speculatin'... In all seriousness, I'm really excited for when the announcement actually happens so we can all find out what will really be coming for 2017.
  7. That video was really cool; does anyone on here know who is in charge of the Hersheypark autospiels (just wondering as Camille's announcer voice sounds similar to one of the 2 voices heard in Storm Runner's station)?
  8. I keep telling people about Sam and it's only June! The only bad thing about Haunt is that the next major event will be Closing Day and the off season (which should prove to be interesting since we'll (most likely) know what'll be going into Rivertown for 2017)!
  9. Original Bat err mean Top GunSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So, those are construction pics from the 1993 Bat (Top Gun)? Cool; I've actually wanted to see those as I've never seen construction pics from TG/FD/Bat (I'd also like to see some Invertigo/Drop Tower construction pics if there are any).
  10. About those slides, are they talking about the original Bat or the ride formally known as Top Gun? Either way, cool stuff!
  11. ...and KI's Vortex stole my zipper! I was wearing a hoodie on the ride and when I got to the brake run, the zipper was gone!
  12. I recall a band that was playing a past SpiritSong waiting for Drop Tower (at the time, Zone as well) to drop before moving on with a song. However, I forget if it was Newsboys, Tobymac or another artist (maybe Delirious?).
  13. I did not know that DWD and Tropical Plunge were made by different manufacturers; I guessed I assumed they were made by the same company as it follows the same concept! More on topic, TP may have minor-ly scuffed/hit my back, but I don't remember. However, the only major affect I've had from Tropical Plunge was a wedgie from Electric Feel (the yellow/orange one- I've nicknamed each of the slides ).
  14. It seems like construction is more in full swing, which is good to see. Now, we just need to wait for the footers/footings and track. Also, thanks to Magenta Lizard for the many construction pictures.
  15. Continuing on this trend of noticing things I haven't noticed before, while working in Snoopy today, I noticed a satellite dish near the top of the Effiel Tower, plus Woodstock sitting on the lifeguard's chair at the entrance of Surf Dog.
  16. I think I'd keep it WindSeeker as it does its job At one time, I wanted to rename Banshee "High Voltage", but I've since found a new association for that coaster based in the Hoenn Region of Pokemon. However, it would be cool if each of Tropical Plunge's slides had individual names.
  17. I think Air Supply played at KI at one time? I know there were other bands that graced the Timberwolf stage other than those that are a part of SpiritSong (Spiritsong rocked this year, btw- at least, Red did!)
  18. As does Dorney Park's ThunderHawk; it has some powerful ejector air! Edit: Corrected from Thunderbird to ThunderHawk... whoops!
  19. Good stuff; thanks for sharing Tim58hsv! I wonder what the "Medicine Show" was.... Also, random comments on the 3 sets: For the first set, I most noticed that the buildings on International Street are actually well-themed; aside from that, some buildings look like they haven't chnaged much (like the building that is now home to Starbucks). It's really cool to see pictures of Lion Country Safari; that bridge and the pictures of the animals are cool as well. Also, maybe it's because I know the park so well, but I'm able to place the location in a way that Festhaus goes where Bavarian Beetle stood and Slingshot "replaced" Bayern Kurve. For the third set, there were actual swans in Swan Lake? I wonder when those were removed. Also, in the aerial Coney Mall map, I can again tell where rides/attractions are currently located in present-day.
  20. While working today, I noticed there is a compass thing (it has a rooster on the top and has N, S, W, and E) on top of the Coney Treats stand that I'd never noticed before. Pretty cool
  21. Yep, Terp pretty much covered it in post 2 of the thread! Like he said, though, definitely take some time to see the shows if you have the chance. Many people have raved about Origins (including myself, but I've not seen the new acts yet...), so that's an option. Also, going through Dinosaurs Alive at a leisurely pace or enjoying a meal/hanging out in a favorite location (for me, that would be The Bat's exit) is one way to slow down and make the most of your KI trip. EDIT: And like McSalsa said, the Petting Farm is always a good way to spend some time if you like animals.
  22. Cool; good to know! -MDMC, avoiding a one-word post
  23. @Ethancoaster: Thunderhead (IMO) is weird. My first ride I loved it, next ride (a few years later) it was too much side to side movement and my most recent ride was crazy in the back. So, you could say Thunderhead and I have an interesting relationship... On the other hand, Lightning Racer is fun, smooth and re-rideable!
