  1. Anyone notice anything new with SOB? What I'm most interested in as well is if the rose bowl is still standing? Hopefully after this weekend, they have a camera pointed towards SOB.
  2. Thank you to those of you who posted pictures of SOB from the Eiffel Tower. My next question that I have that I'm sure has been answered on here is what are they doing with the wood that won't be sold?
  3. Does anyone have a picture from the Eiffel Tower showing deconstruction of SOB?
  4. To all you guys who mentioned about the park officials, I have a feeling a new roller coaster will be built for 2014. So I'm going to believe Screamscape on this one. Before someone quotes me here, let me just point out that they were right about the rumblings of Cedar Point getting a roller coaster for 2013. My thought is they know what's going in, but they aren't going to hint anything just yet to get people excited. That's just my two cents.
  5. It could be a project similar to Maverick. If you remember at the end of the 2005 season, CP demolished White Water Landing and then for the 2006 season, when guests entered the park, there was a big wall followed by a lot of footers. Maybe we'll see the same pattern here for Kings Island.
  6. It's too bad SOB is being completely removed. Maybe the future will bring us a Gravity group roller coaster like Voyage only with a loop. That to me was the cool part of SOB! The rest of it hurt like hell!
  7. Thank you for the picture lopan. What a crappy day it was though when you took that picture. That's not your fault though. Hopefully Kings Island releases some deconstruction pictures next week.
  8. Alright alright. I'm sorry for being so high on myself there. Oh well I was close.
  9. I love it! I remember calling it that they would start on the Rose bowl first and sure enough they are doing just that. I'm So Awesome!
  10. Well they could start on the huge helix area and work their way towards the lift hill. I'm sure that helix is going to take a week or more to remove.
  11. ^^ Don't worry buddy, I feel the anxiousness upon me as well.
  12. Maybe they don't want to show the construction equipment just yet. They don't want us enthusiasts to get too excited!
  13. Maybe that's why Big Bad Wolf was scrapped then. So this means if Flight Deck is removed, Iron Dragon will be in the future as well. That's a shame because I enjoy both of them.
  14. ^ Please don't remove Thunder Alley! Just expand it like the one at Cedar Point! Takes this as a suggestion Kings Island!
  15. Makes me wonder what Kings Island will get for 2013? Something small I'm sure because it would seem weird to announce to the public that they aren't doing anything special for next year.
  16. Nothing wrong with Thunder Alley, it just needs a major expansion to make it more fun. Like I said a couple pages ago, they should take this opportunity now to make the track longer like the one at Cedar Point.
  17. It has an elevator cable lift system. How does that sound?
  18. Well I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to Millennium Force at Kings Island. I"m not saying put the exact same layout in, but something that would resemble it's brother at Cedar Point. Like I said yesterday, have a regular elevator lift hill, have it turn to the left and then let it drop straight down! That would be awesome! For now though, Millennium Force is my favorite steel roller coaster!
  19. Is this topic of what the fans want in SOB former spot? If that is the case, I would love to see an Intamin Giga roller coaster. Maybe make it the first of it's kind where it goes up and when it gets to the top, it makes a left turn and then straight down. You heard right, build the first Intamin Giga to drop straight down.
  20. ^ Yeah maybe they're setting up for now by getting all the bulldozers into place. Now I remember the guy in charge of Kings Island saying they would take it down piece by piece. Wouldn't it seem easier if they just took the wrecking ball to it? Also what about how they took down that one tower ride at a six flags park? Does anybody have the link to that?
  21. I was thinking with the removal of Son of Beast, they should make the go cart track bigger. All you have a is a little oval! I think more people would pay to race their friends if they had a go cart track similar to the one at Cedar Point.
  22. Anyone who knows construction might be able to answer this. When taking down large structures such as Son of Beast, what do they do with all the wood? Do they give it to paper companies or try to salvage some of the wood to Home Depot stores? I was also thinking, would Kings Island be able to save the massive chain from Son of Beast? I already have a feeling they'll keep the station as is after demolition is over with like they did with The Bat.
  23. I don't know dude. I'm sorry I was just giving my opinion.
