  1. It's good to know that they're looking out for the employees this coming season. I mean that as in, they might close the line sooner so they don't have to work as long to get us guests out. I used to work retail so I understand how frustrating it can be to get everyone out.
  2. I love the smell of the water shooting up from the fountains as you make your way thru the front gate. Someone else mentioned the smell of chain lube as you're waiting in line or actually on the ride. The smells of the fresh fudge being made on International street, the smell of skyline chili, and Larossa's pizza in both sections of the park(International Street and Rivertown).
  3. I've always felt like Congo Falls should have been moved over to where the Crypt building is now instead of keeping the building there. After they took out the ride, I felt like this is a perfect opportunity to move Congo Falls over there. I also liked the idea another poster said about keeping the beginning part of the queue of the crypt building in tact, but tear down the bigger part of the building to the point where you can see more of Diamondback. But not just because of that, but because the haunt that they use every year doesn't need that much height room.
  4. Yes we do. They haven't been commented on lately. I'm guessing people are bored with those topics. I voted for other since I love the B&M floorless design and I"m sure people are tired of reading that from me lol.
  5. ^ I know Kings Island uses the Action theater for the haunts usually, but would they ever consider using it as a new indoor ride? I'm not sure what kind of interactive ride you could put in there now in days because they gutted the old stuff from the 90s and early 00s. I guess my question is would it be more cost effective to just rebuild the whole a new building If they were to put in a new interactive ride?
  6. Right now, there's no dire need for us to see the webcams. Not trying to speak for all of us, but right now the only thing to see is the big snow mountains around the rides. Once we get closer to opening day, I bet they'll turn them back on.
  7. ^ I like that idea. It's a shame that action theater hasn't gotten much love since the 90s and early 2000s.
  8. I had a dream last night where contractors we're surveying the land that occupied Vortex. They couldn't get any kind of planning down because they kept saying the ravine was too deep. I kept trying to tell them in my dream, just work around the ravine and come up with something unique. They said, "No we have to make this piece of land not so deep!" They're solution was to add more dirt in the former plot of land. I guess the construction workers didn't like my idea of working with the terrain.
  9. I know people are tired of B&M, but just one more and make it a Floorless.
  10. ^ I can see where you're going with this, but I have some ideas for you. I would put the station where The Vortex station was and have the layout turn to the right just like Vortex. Instead of a normal chain lift, the train shoots up like 107 feet then drops at a 95 degree angle just like Maverick. They layout still drops straight, but turns crazy wild like how Maverick does to the right; in front of The Beast service road there. I could see the layout start to use the ravine a little where it dips to it's advantage too. What do you think?
  11. I've said it on other topics, but I would love to see a ground up rmc in the spot of Vortex. If not there, maybe in the spot of The Bat. I've heard rumors that might be the next roller coaster getting the boot. I also wouldn't mind seeing a B&M Floorless model come to Kings Island. I've mentioned this before too on other topics on KI central. Have a similar layout like Dominator at Kings Dominion.
  12. Ohh boy! Both of those rides are fan favorite rides. Removing either one of those rides would be a heartbreaking.
  13. I read your whole reply but wanted to respond to this comment. Yes they're making money, but it would still be nice for a smaller park to have a new roller coaster added once every 5-10 years. I often hear people say, Michigan Adventure's is alright, but it's boring. Maybe if they add a GCI roller coaster like Mystic Timbers, that would put them on the map. Give people a reason to come to a park that's in the middle of nowhere. Take Holiday World for instance. The closest major city to them is Louisville, Kentucky. Other than that, they're in the middle of nowhere too.
  14. I know this is random, but I like to think that their relationship with RMC is mutual. I wouldn't say they have a love-hate relationship.
  15. Minus the squeaking in the beginning, it's not a bad ride. Here's the link in case people wanted to see what it's like.
  16. They could also use the name Polaris since they copyrighted that name two years ago.
  17. ^Would a ground up RMC still be possible in the Cedar Fair chain? I would still love If RMC built a ground up at Kings Island.
  18. l must be one of the few that like the new fountains. The only thing I wish they did was shoot the new fountains up higher. I get it, corporations want newer products and Cedar Fair did just that with the fountains. Now If they could shoot them up just as high as the old fountains, then I would feel like the pedestals are still there.
  19. 13 so far, but I have a good reason for that. I work two jobs and it's hard for me to get down there as often as the regular fanboys on here.
  20. I know this subject I'm going to talk about belongs in the dream thread, but I thought since we're talking about Racer might as well talk about it here. I've seen this photo many times lately where the track is missing in the above photo, but in my dream Kings Island practically demolished the whole blue side of Racer and built it from the ground up; all GCI style. The good news was they announced they were adding those special trains like what Mystic Timbers has on it.
  21. ^Son of Beast was a beautiful wooden roller coaster, but it was a chiropractor nightmare as far as what the human body can withstand. If they ever decide to build something on that scale, I hope Cedar Fair considers Gravity Group or GCI to come in and build it. Heck, I would be cool with them going with RMC topper track to make it look like an all out wooden roller coaster.
  22. If they decide to put a Floorless roller coaster in the former vacancy of Vortex, they could use the terrain to their advantage. An example would be similar to how they built Orion with the first drop. The first hill could climb up the same way Vortex did; then turn and drop! The rest of the layout would be up to Kings Island.
  23. ^ I'm sure The Beast will get some TLC this winter too! They just didn't mention it yet. Supposedly they had steel for the helix, but I never saw that over the summer. My experience on The Beast this summer was great! I didn't have any issues.
  24. ^ What type of roller coaster are you digging at in this picture? That track reminds me of Valravn.
