  1. When I visited Six Flags Over Georgia last Friday, Superman went down three separate times during my visit, including while I was on the ride in the station. I train must've misaligned when it arrived in the station, because the locking pins that keep the train in the flying position while in motion wouldn't engage. It's not very comfortable being in the flying position for 10 minutes waiting for maintenance to arrive.
  2. It's very difficult to have the ideal "enthusiast's day" at Cedar Point due to the large crowds they attract. As far as decent rides that are almost guaranteed to have a short line, you only get to deal with Rougarou, Gemini, and sometimes Magnum/Wicked Twister. Fast Lane is almost a must for every CP visit, but will still have you wait upwards of 30 minutes for Maverick and Steel Vengeance, especially the latter. Kings Island occasionally draws massive crowds that make every ride a long wait, but much less often. Up until this year (of course due to capacity restrictions), you were able to able to guarantee yourself decently short lines on weekdays for most major attractions. I think that's the main factor in people ranking KI higher than CP. Cedar Point most likely still has a better lineup in most people's eyes, but KI has not gone silent with excellent additions in the last 10 or so years. I enjoy both parks equally but I'm having a hard time justifying going to CP anytime soon due to the ridiculous wait times I've experienced in my last few visits. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  4. Premier Spaghetti Bowls take the cake for me.
  5. RMC has really smoothed out their transitions. IG's elements seem more drawn out and smooth compared to some of its counterparts with quick jolts in one direction or the other. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  6. Orion crew was incredible every single day. Capacity was awesome all things considered. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  7. When was AE closed? I rode it last Sunday night and didn't notice a difference. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  8. Yep, agreed. Vortex was painted throughout the beginning of the 2002 season. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  9. For anyone interested, that channel also posted the upscaled POV of The Beast. Notice the skid brakes. Pinch brakes were added in the next off season, while magnetic trims came about during August of 2002. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  10. The heavyweight class Premier trains didn't help over time, either. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  11. This is by far the best video of Son of Beast out there. Thanks so much for sharing this. The video says 2002 but I'm thinking this was more likely 2001 for a couple reasons. 1. The trim brake has been removed prior to the rose bowl and 2. King Cobra is still standing. I know removal of KC lasted into the start of the 2002 season but I believe it had been partially removed by opening day. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. Excuse my ignorance, but what does NDT stand for? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  13. $198 is too much to justify. I promised myself I'd get a piece should they ever come available, but it just doesn't make sense. Vortex will always have a special place in my heart, whether I have a piece of it or not. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. A custom spin off of Intamin's 10 inversion coaster would be nice. No quad heartline roll though, they can do better than that. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  15. https://rcdb.com/17725.htm There's a new Mack Xtreme Spinner opening next year. Where does it say that SDC (or Herschend Family Entertainment) has exclusive rights to it? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. I always thought that the area taken up by Boo Blasters would be a great fit for a mouse. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  17. 1620 yesterday. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  18. As far as the rattle after the hammerhead turn, wasn't that where track was removed and filled with sand this past off season? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. Stand up. I'm not kidding. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  20. Next time you ride Diamondback in an outside seat, look down at the wheel bogey on that car directly in front of you. During an airtime hill, that thing is shaking like crazy, leading me to believe the wheels have something to do with it. If you stand under DB's lift and watch a train go back, the up stops don't spin as they aren't connected to the track unless in a moment of g-forces less than 1. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  21. Right...I know there was a big discount involved. Never heard free. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  22. I would say 99 percent of people are wearing their mask. Most of them are wearing it properly as well. Staff and security has been great about enforcement in my 4 visits this year. Social distancing in line is inconsistent, but no one is on top of each other. With rides that have switchbacks in their lines, you run into the "good thing the virus can't move sideways" issue, but it's not awful. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  23. Most/all coasters besides Orion are running only two trains at half capacity. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  24. Honestly, I think Apollo's Chariot was a lot smoother than Diamondback ever was when I rode it last summer. Just my two cents. Could have something to do with the 4 across trains compared to the staggered trains on DB. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  25. Banshee was considerably smoother today in the front row today compared to the back row on opening day. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
