  1. Honestly, I don't really like waterparks and the only reason I ever step foot in Kings Island's waterpark is for the water funnel (which I ride every 2-3 years). I wouldn't be upset at all if KI didn't have a waterpark because thats just more room for rides, shows, and attractions.
  2. You beat me to it............ Anyways this was told by the dippin dots guy I guess. Obviously the possibility of that is less than the possibility of BB returning at any time, or better yet the Crypt....... Cruel... I had a dream The Crypt returned, but it was a swinging ship... I think it would be kinda cool to have a ride like Berserker at Kings Dominion only as an indoor ride
  3. Yesterday I heard these people saying that the Eiffel Tower was leaning to the side and could fall over anyday.
  4. Yeah, it was Very busy and when WindSeeker's wait is over 2 hours, than you know that the park is packed.
  5. I went to Kings Island yesterday, without turning on the radio to check the traffic accidents. But as I approached the "Kings Automall" sign, Lots and Lots of brake lights were coming on and we were stuck in traffic because of a Bad wreck, So we took the exit and decided to take the Columbia Rd. route. We ended up making it to KI at 12:00 instead of 10:30. We still stayed positive and made our way to the gates. Our first ride was Firehawk, and the wait time said 60 minutes. Little did we know, we would be in line for 2 1/2 hours but when we actually got through all the que's and were about to get buckled into the yellow train, The red train got stuck at the top of the hill and the ride-op's started to panic. They were frantically running around, one went dashing out of the x-base and I don't know where he went? But a few were making calls to management and mechanics. Some of the ride attendants walked up the side and were talking to the passengers on Firehawk. The mechanic quickly rushed behind Firehawk and started fixing and taking things apart. Meanwhile, KI management was making there way to the loading platform to await the Red train riders when they came down. 24 cups of cold water were sitting at the platform for the sun-burned guests to drink. Then they were all given little red cards? We finally got to ride Firehawk after all that and it was as good as I expected. 8.9/10 Next we headed to the Longest wooden roller coaster on the planet, The Beast. The wait was about 2 hours, and we kept getting cut off by the Fast Laner's and couldn't ride for even longer because of them. When we did get on, It earned its spot to me again as the Best wooden roller coaster ever built. 105/100 Delirium was still down, and there was men on top of it fixing it, I guess and there was a large crane (for construction, not a bird) sitting next to the ride. Not sure how long it might be down. I headed for Viking Fury, but it had a 2 hour wait which is unusually long for its line. So I decided to go up in the Eiffel Tower and get some pictures. There was about 4 people in line for the Eiffel elevator when I walked up, so I got on the next time. We went up and heard the usual thing from the elevator attendant about how old the tower is and how tall and things like that. Once we got off at the top, there was a bunch of kids running and screaming but I was glad to know that they were getting on the next ride down . I took my fair share of videos and pictures and got in the line to go down. Then I was approached by an attendant at the top whom was questioning my shoes. He liked them and wanted to know where I had got them from. So we had a long conversation because the elevator was acting strange at the bottom. He said he has been working at the park for 5 years and this is his sixth year. I decided to ask him a question about Son of Beast. I'm not sure how reliable he was but I asked him "Will Son of Beast ever reopen?" and he said "I'm not sure whats going to happen with it but I can tell you that an announcement will be made about the plans for the ride at the end of the month." And with that I left the Eiffel Tower, wondering whether I should believe him or not? Our final ride was Flight Deck and we were ready to leave after that. The wait was about an hour. and we enjoyed the ride. 9/10 Sorry it was such a long post. -TheBEASTunchained
  6. Does anyone think it might be back running tommorow?
  7. A new wooden roller coaster. But the already exsisting wooden coasters Don't need to be removed to build a new one.
  8. In my opinion, Wooden and Steel roller coasters shouldn't be compared. They are totally different rides and expiriences, Thats like asking someone if they like Donuts or Hamburgers better. I Love The Beast but I wouldn't dare to compare it to Millenium Force because they are different types of roller coasters and made Completely different.
  9. Although I do like the inside of the Flight of Fear's effects and air conditioned building. I don't mind waiting outside if thats what the ride op's need to do to inform people of the wait time.
  10. The Beast will be the best wooden coaster on the episode in my opinion. But what whould have been cool to see on the show is Son of Beast. I'm sure a lot of you disagree but I think it would be cool to have SOB on there and show old clips and photos of it. I mean come on, Operating or not, Son of Beast is still the Tallest, Fastest wooden roller coaster in the world.
  11. The Beast's night rides are always epic and Never the same. Your tenth BEAST night ride will be just as good as the first.
  12. The Beast is the Best wooden roller coaster ever built in my opinion.
  13. My first ride on Diamondback was in June of 2010. My main ride purpose was The Beast in 2009 like it always had been but I finally decided to ride Diamondback in 2010 and I loved it.
  14. I thought that The Rattler was getting updated in a similar way to Texas Giant? And By saying "Last Riders" they could have meant the last riders on what we know now as The Rattler not a new refurbished Rattler.
  15. AE? The most common abbreviation for Adventure Express is "AE". Adventure Express is a family roller coaster located in the Octoberfest area of the park.
  16. I'm glad you had a lot of fun!! and It sounds like you got to ride Diamondback quite a few times
  17. White Water Canyon is Kings Island's water raft ride in Rivertown, Opened in 1985. Did you ride it opening year? Do you like the ride? Give your ride details and how your ride went.......
  18. I Completely agree about the drop. To me Son of Beast's drop was more intense and more Fun than Diamondbacks drop. Certain parts of Son of Beast were uncomfortable and rough but that is to be expected from a wooden roller coaster. That is what makes wooden roller coasters unique is there roughness and if you don't like that feeling, than there is a big red roller coaster in rivertown that is Very, Very smooth.
  19. I KNOW that some land has been cleared by Son of Beast. I don't know why, And NO I do not talk to the suits. I have seen it from Adventure Express from a far distance and last fall, as I was on Drop Tower I could clearly see, "goats" back there taking out trees and clearing the land. Kings Island may not even have a reason for doing it, They may just be doing it to have room for yet unknown expansions in the future and there getting it done early.
