  1. If you're planning to shell out the money for Fast Lane @ Kings Dominion, but end up not buying it, you can either use the money for a nice souvenier, or pay a little more for the ticket to Busch Gardens Europe. It is one of my absolute favorite parks, and I would never want to pass it up.

Fast pass has really helped me when riding The Beast but I've never got a Fast Pass at Kings Dominion.

  2. Well if they decide to say "Hey! Let's tear this down!" I want a peice of it! My favorite ride out there!

If they didn't give goodyellowkorn182 a piece of my beloved Durga, why would Kings Island give you a piece of the worst roller coaster at Kings Island?

As silly of a question as it may seem to ask Kings Island for a peice of Son of Beast. It could happen, because I don't think Kings Island is in as big of a rush to get rid of SoB as they were the Crypt. When Kings Island decided to end the operating life of the Crypt, there was a Very quick removal process But with Son of Beast, it has taken over 2 years for an announcement to be made concerning the ride and If they were to decide to remove it, I'm sure that it wouldn't be done in a hurry. Another thing, is that asking for a large ride prop from the inside of the Crypt and asking for a peice of wood off of a roller coaster that has 2.5 million feet of timber is a big difference. A lot of things could be made with 2.5 million feet of timber.

I have seen alot of pictures of these fireworks at Kings Island and I was wondering What year the fireworks in this picture were from? I go to Kings Island Over 25 times a year but I only went on the 4th of July once. It was very overcrowded and I wont go back on the 4th.

  4. In case you missed the fun and safety guides up front, The Son of Beast is a high speed, turbulent roller coaster ride with quick turns and sudden drops. People with exsisting back, neck, or bone problems, recent sugery or illness, pregnancy, high blood pressure, heart condition, or other medical conditions, should refrain from riding the Son of Beast. Please be aware of the recommendations and restrictions of this ride. And if you have any questions, Please contact the ride attendant.

  5. Does anyone know if Kings Island still has the old Geauga Lake wooden coaster trains from Raging Wolf Bobs, and The Villain?

If they do, Maybe if Son of Beast gets fixed up a little, they can use those old trains, If there still Usable. (Just a thought)

  6. Terpy, you are correct. It would just aggrivate me.

Side Question: Is there any place in Kings Island that sells Dr. Peppers or Monsters? I seem to have a taste for them while I'm at Kings Island

The last time that I was there, I saw a guy standing by one of those large coolers, and he had dr. peppers, and sprite.

  7. I know that there is a "What's next for Son of Beast?" discussion but I have a question regarding Son of Beast and I was wondering If anyone on KIC knew the answer.......

What did Kings Island do with the old Son of Beast crate sign, that was at the entrance of the ride?

  8. It depends on what changes your talking about? (:

But everypark needs to change sometimes and if they dont then people will get tired of going and seeeing and riding the same things all the time. Some changes are not liked by the general public but they happen, Change happens.

  9. There not gonna build a new coaster for years, they cant even make up there minds on S.O.B for years now! Lets all get over new coasters and focus on flats, because its what were gonna be getting. This is my opinion and the suits that have spoken to me.I wish money and roller coasters grew on trees!

Wasn't aware you had a crystal ball? I'd say we're more likely to get a new coaster some time soon than we would be to see anything done with Son of Beast besides have a wrecking ball hit it.

No suits have spoken to you.

I completely agree. He made it seem like he knows everything that gonna happen at Kings Island and when. And where could I find one of those crystal balls at? :D
  10. Kings Island opened in 1972 with the wooden roller coaster that would revive the dream of wooden roller coasters in the United States, The Racer. Then In 1979, One of the greatest roller coasters ever built, The Beast was opened. In 2000, Kings Island opened the Tallest, Fastest, Most discussed at KIC, and Only looping wooden roller coaster, Son of Beast. And with that, Over the years Kings Island has been known for its wooden roller coasters, so.....

Do you think that its time that Kings Island gets a new Wooden Coaster?

What would the coaster be like?

    What theming would be ideal?

And finally, Should they build another record breaker?

  11. Last wednesday when I was in line for WindSeeker there was a group of teenage boys that got on the ride and were spitting off the sides of the ride, onto peoples heads that were in the line. It made for a very noisy ride due to peoples anger.

  12. Ok, so I went To Kings Island today. I went with my mopm, sister, and friend Nathan. So yeah, here I go.

I got there around 8:50AM. I stood by the front gate for a couple minutes, then saw Jonathan/jcgoble3 walking towards the entrance. I said hi, and then it was time for the national anthem. We then all headed to Diamondback.

This would be a first time riding Diamondback for my mom and my sister. It was a walk on and me and my friend got the back row. As always, a fun ride. We then switched seats so we could stay on, because there was somebody waitng for the back. After that ride, we stayed in our seats becuase nobody was in the row. After THAT ride, we switched seats again to an empty row. After another ride, it looked like all the rows would be full, so we just got out and went back in line. We got out and went back in line 2 times after that, then headed to rope drop.

We made it just in time to the Eiffel Tower rope drop, and I found out thats where Jonathan/jcgoble3 was. Jonathan took off, and me and my friend followed. When we got to the X-Base, I was worn out. We all got in line for Firehawk for it's first ride of the day.

We got row 4, and strapped in, as I sat with Nathan and Jonathan. A fun ride, as usual. We all headed to Flight of Fear, only to see a long line out of the entrance and it was closed. So, I had to meet with my mom at 10:15 at The Racer, so I headed there.

Blue was closed, so we went in red. There was a walk on for the front row. It seemed a bit less shaky then my rides in the front row on the blue Racer during Coasting For Kids. We then headed to Action Zone.

Delirium was closed, (And it was closed the whole time I was there) so we headed to Invertigo. The line was only about 5 minutes. It was a fun ride, as usual. (I sure am repeating myself!)

Next was Drop Tower. There was a small line, and me and Nathan got seats 39 and 40 next cycle, so we barely made it. When we were going up, I saw Jonathan and my mom and my sister. Thats the last I really remember of seeing Jonathan that day. A fun ride, and its nice going taller than Son of Beast.

We then took the walk to Flight Deck. Me and Nathan love the front row on FD, and refused to not go in the front this ride. The wait,, including the walk, was about 10 min if you rode the front row. Again, a fun ride, as usual. We both were hot, so we went to Congo Falls. It, as always, was a walk on. We got pretty wet, and also waited at the bridge to get soaked.

I then met up with my mom in the Festhaus. They got some overpriced stuff to eat, and I got what I thought was then 2nd best value in the park food wise, (behind Rivertown Junction) Skyline. I got 3 coneys. After that, we headed to WindSeeker.

It was just a short 5 minute wait. We then all headed to Backlot, which was also a short 5 minute wait. Then we had time for 1 more ride before we had to go at 1 (something Nathan has to go to) and we went to The Beast. Surprisingly, it was a walk on. Fun ride.

We walked towards the exit, kind of the long way becuase I wanted some watermellon at the Coca-Cola marketplace. It was pretty good, then I headed out. Thanks for reading, now I might add a few thing, but I got to go. Now.

Sounds like you had fun :D
  13. It would be nice to have an overhaul of Action Zone but this has been talked about for years just like Son of Beast.

And just to introduce myself, I am "TheBEASTunchained" and I have rode The Beast over 1000 times in the last 5 years and I am glad to finally

    be a member of KIC!!

I read over the forums here quite often but Ive just never got around to becoming a member.
