  1. ^^Private event but they didnt stop anyone from taking pictures
  2. I forget how to post a picture its been so long lmao. FIELD OF SCREAMS: [/url]IMG_5582 by Faith Hoendorf, on Flickr">http:// EDIT: I think I got it now
  3. I could not see very clearly because it was night time & I donot have pictures. But there is wooden track behind The Crypt. Just a few hours until the announcment!!
  4. ^^ I knew someone would make this joke * Facepalms *
  5. A genuine question: Would they actually put a new wooden roller coaster that close to The Beast? I mean she is legandary and her son who was alittle too much. Just out of personal instinct it seems alittle abrasive to put up a new wooden coaster after just tearing the one down that caused so many injuries. As well as being next to the longest one in the United States.
  6. When i read about the suggestion of Camp Snoopy i was convinced, makes total sense due to the location. But the sign is for a more mature audiance. To introduce an addition to a childrens area I dont believe they would use an intimidating "CAUTION: WATCH FOR FALLING TREES".
  7. I was there yesterday in the station when they awarded him. Ive never seen ride ops so excited before.
  8. On Invertigo yesterday as the train was ascending the ride op sang "Annd III will allllwwwaayysss lovvee yooouuuu". He was applauded too xD On FOF before they launched the train the ride op said "And may the odds be ever in your favor". And "Pikachu GO!" on another.
  9. I took pictures today..but it really looks no different than MantisMan's. Beat me too it
  10. Took the words right out of my mouth. Anyways, I couldn't see Cedar Fair putting so much theming into something like this. But i too credit you on your thoughtfulness for the atmosphere of the park. Real enthusiasts care.
  11. This sounds something like the Skeleton Crew at CP, which was by far the best show I've ever seen at a Cedar Fair park. Really happy KI got something like it. Didn't realize it came out on my birthday too.
  12. Haven't been on in awhile glad to be back. Probably the wrong place to post this. Close enough. I sadly didn't get to go to the backstage tour of the construction of Banshee... Tragic I know... But my Dad a week ago got too. Im not exactly sure how it worked out. Somehow he met this guy at work who was a temporary worker for KI, Im not sure. Anyways he's leaving at like the beginning of march and he's a college student. My dad was taking him back home (or something) and the guy offered to take him a tour of Banshee. (Notice how I said him and not with me too) Edit: 1,000th post and corrected by the Terp.
  13. Im pretty late on this. oopppsss. Just some imaginational thinking here... Some black lights would look really cool. Although, Im pretty sure Banshee isn't fluorescent (lol).Even though its not, it would be neat to see peoples clothes light up in the station. It could be just about as neat as the fog on Flight deck and Gatekeepers lit up train eyes!
  14. Im pretty sure that's silver bullet. That is funny though, how they used a steel b&m invert for it. It does look a lot like Banshee.
  15. I can see them all. Very nice! I like the first one
  16. Ill have to agree with the collar bone problem, I may have sat in the seat the wrong way like joncars05 said, but it was awful. I had red marks from them afterwards.
  17. This looks great, im really satisfied with it so far. Going along with the Gatekeeper resistants, they really hurt me, dug into my collar bone. I find it funny how again, in the animated pictures, Banshee has big bushes and trees around it like Diamondbacks pictures did. Although, they were just in a photo shoppers head *sigh*. I really, really like the station. It goes along with the theme well and it really stands out.
  18. Maybe its just me... A woman who comes to visit you and wails before you die? Guess im just a chicken.
  19. From the teaser it says- 'Bone chilling Screams',such as the Banshee would do according to the definition Banshee- female spirit in Gaelic folklore whose appearance or wailing warns a family that one of them will soon die. And the silver comb really does point to the Irish legend too, according to 'monstropedia' - She often haves long, fair white, blond hair which they brush with a silver comb as she laments. http://monstropedia.org/index.php?title=Banshee Sorry if im being a Captain Obvious, I just felt like it needed to be stated. It probably already has, I looked, but I might have skimmed over it.
  20. I guess I'm a little late on this but....I couldn't have inversions in my 'back yard stunt track' because my backyard is too small, it barley fits before going into the neighbors backyard! Adding inversions would make it to big, and impossible to fit it in. If you're referring to Backlot Stunt Coaster I think silver2005 answered the question. Original- Not trying to be picky, just going with the flow :]
  21. All jobs are going to have downfalls. I'm going to have to go out on a limb here and say Dons job is pretty stressful. Sure its absolutely not the WORST job, most would find it to be quite fun. I can quite confidently say that he loves his job... But there is probably times where he'd rather be on that hot concrete with a camera being rejected by visitors. In my opinion, I think sweeper must be one of the worst, if not the worst. All day on your feet, hot, cold, wet, dry.... If this counts, lifeguard at Soak City isn't to peachy either (specifically wave pool)... I watched from the wave pool the lifeguards doing a specific neck-roll-nod to show more clearly that they are watching for your safety... They must do it hundreds of times per day.... Ouch. And having to whistle at people for breaking the rules... Not so fun either. But it must be cool to work mondo monsoon, seeing people's faces as you guide the raft towards the tunnel to slide all the way down to the funnel.
  22. I cant think of any rides that I wont ride.... Oh wait... Drop Tower....Sure I haven't rode it, but I rode a 'pathetic version' of it at a fair, and it was really unpleasant. So why would I want to ride a much bigger one? I don't like not-knowing when im going to fall....and its straight down. Im not to big on it, but, that's just me though.
  23. Welcome to KICentral, RideWarrior. Just a heads up, you may want to read the terms of service, and use the search bar. Very many topics are about SOB if you would like to read them, but SOB is gone. Most of us, i hope, could agree that Kings Island is no longer going to 'mess with' The Beast and its legacy as stated above. Kings Island will go onto the future, they messed up, and they dont want to bring back thoughts of those riders who were hurt. Theres no point to make another Beast-related ride, Kings Island has more tricks up their sleeve than you may think.
  24. Sounds great, i most likely will go.
