  1. Nice little teaser for a 2018 announcement. By the way, there is a picture going around right now taken on CP Property of Mean Streak. I am not going to post the picture for reasons that should be known, and if you don't know. I will say this. If you see the picture, do not share it. Don't show anyone. CP does not photos taken on park property, as you will be trespassing the park. (Pictures beyond the park, like with a large zoomed in camera taken from across Lake Erie if you dare, are okay.) I wrote to Tony a month ago talking about the issue as I was someone who posted a similar photo and I was apologizing to the park, as well as for someone else as well. He stated, and I am quoting. "They (People who enter the park) do not have permission to be on property or to be shooting photos or video"
  2. ^ Edit, KD Announced March 25 as their opening date. As per their Facebook page.
  3. ^ Not several, Just a few. I don't know where they are, but there isn't that many. I'm not surprised by the Transfer Table part of it, I'm a little more Skeptical of his choice of wording at the beginning of it saying, "seemingly paranormal contents" Feels like, that gives it a little bit away at least for the theme of it.
  4. I like the thoughts he put out, but I hope he was allowed to send the post via the park and the GCI Company without breaking any NDA's
  5. Really? That's a Sunday though, usually closed to a private event. You sure that is accurate information?
  6. Nooo. I was going to post to 2017 discussion thread again xD
  7. Supporting the change... I just want to say, I've heard many stories about the all-season bottles being stolen from ride-stations, and the only solution was to simply get a locker, which costed a bit more money. It felt as if parks were sucking money out of your pockets, but they were trying to offer solutions to problems that were occurring. Beyond the controversial topic in the industry of the lockers. (Trust me, you guy's make it sound really controversial.) This could be a very important change. Now obviously when you go to an amusement park, you want to get a souvenir for your visit, and getting a bottle for drinks can usually be a good idea, take a piece of the park with you for around $30. So I think it would be nice that we would get a mixture of both, have a souvenir bottle to take home with you,. But for seasoned guests, you get the all year. As I think about the idea, yes this does sound like what it should be doing. But please do this change Cedar Fair. As a guest, it's a good day to go from the Best Day Ever, to a bad day at an amusement park because someone stole the cup that they spent money on. Having the disposable cups would mean that guests have more mobility. (Plus we can FINALLY take a drink in a 30 minute to an hour long line for Banshee or Firehawk, or other rides that may not have loose articles in the line.)
  8. I wanted to give a little bit of an update to Mysti. At this current step of time, they're currently working on the break run and #whatsintheshed area. Photo is zoomed in via DB Webcam.
  9. Should've just asked xD Now one's coming in 2 hours. lol
  10. I feel like the company would use this location as a way to have a Kings Island based Hotel sort of like Breakers at CP. Since they seem to really begin to focus on developing Kings Island a little bit more lately. (I'm not just saying about the difference in years between getting new rides. But I've noticed a lot of new stuff coming quickly these last few years.)
  11. We will probably see a FunTV 6 minute video in the queue lines about how the ride was built starting the next season.
  12. I believe they're talking about the bridge that WWC goes under. I think they're talking about the bridge over the Diamondback valley. It's the only steel and wood trestle bridge along the route that I know of. The WWC one is concrete. But via location, the park made it sound as if it was right after that, which it isn't. It's a little more down the rail.
  13. I believe they're talking about the bridge that WWC goes under.
  14. Adventure Express is a 48" "Thrill" Ride. So I would be for sure that Mysti will be a Thrill Ride.
  15. Few things. I'm seeing some footers where the shed will be that are covered by gravel, looks like bents will be up soon. My next thing is that I think I'm seeing footers in the back near the old train-stop/train shed. Via Diamondback Webcam.
  16. That's different. The track was honestly shaking way too much. A little give is a must, but not a 4 to 8 inch difference in shaking. (Probably exaggerating the numbers)
  17. My only idea for why it's called Bents is that when the ride is operating the wooden structure will bend and sway. Don't be alarmed though if you haven't seen that before. It's a common theme, if rides didn't do this, they might actually fracture. High skyscrapers also sway. If you ever watch Diamondback as it comes down it's first drop, the track will bend downwards, and after the train has passed, one of the yellow support columns will also sway back and forth. They're suppose to do this.
  18. I remember the cameras being used up until 2011 at least, maybe even 2012. They stopped using them during Haunt of one of those seasons, came back for a few years the following year but then were completely removed after just a few weeks into the season.
  19. Not 50%, Maybe 15 to 25% at best To give an example, look at the DB webcam, everything after the WWC lagoon, and the Shed/Station area hasn't been built yet.
  20. Via Don Helbig's Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10202423611189158&set=a.1003858554302.227.1760018654&type=3&theater
  21. ^ Have to remember he is the Director of Park Operations, not Ride Operations. He oversaw everything in the park, from food, Park Services, Admissions, and Rides. For Ride Crews you should be thanking the Ride supervisors, as well as Area Supervisors. But none the less, everyone did a great job everywhere this year.
  22. Next question. Who is the new Director of Park Operations?
