  1. But you have I think of the type of people who would ride it. Young people love intense rides because they can take it, older individuals cannot. Everytime I'm on Diamondback or even Banshee I see a significant amount of older riders as compared to other rides in the park. There is an older gentleman who's ridden Diamondback nearly 15,000 times. Even though B&M is thrilling, older people can enjoy their rides as well- you have to look at the whole scope.
  2. I honestly don't. Give Mack a chance to shine. If Cedar Fair could secure Mack utilize all the new innovations they have to offer people won't be disappointed
  3. Intamin's philosophy is that ride malfunctions are inevitable regardless of the ride. If you pay attention, that philosophy has really shown with the redesign of Maverick, I305 retracking, the Shoot the Rapids incident in 2013, the 2007 leg loss incident at Kentucky kingdom, the 2009 Xcelerator belt snap and many others. I'm not trying to sound like a Fanboy but you don't get those kind of issues on a B&M.
  4. I like the current PTC trains and don't have a problem with them but I feel more crammed when riding both Racer and The Beast as opposed to Mystic Timbers where I feel like I have more shoulder room. I'm sure I'm not the only one
  5. I've posted this on another thread but I never asked- would Millennium Flyer trains work on The Beast or not. Don't get me wrong I like the old PTC trains, but I think Mystic Timbers spoiled me with it's seating
  6. There have been small updates here and there but I'd like a whole new rebranding of Coney Mall
  7. Let's sue Six Flags! Considering some fanboys haven't done it yet (Please don't take my post seriously... I know someone will)
  8. I like how they say it's the world's first single rail track when that isn't true at all
  9. I think the red area would make the most sense. I always thought that area of the park was really dead compared to other parts
  10. Mystic Timbers has the same capacity on one train compared to the combined capacity of the trains on this new coaster (if they even run 3 trains). My analysis- I'm not hating on the park, or the chain for doing something knew and exciting but it doesn't seem like it'll work. I'm really surprised they didn't for the T-Rex track instead of the Raptor- T-Rex= twice the capacity of a Raptor coaster. I'm not too crazy about the name or the color scheme for that matter. Don't get me wrong, I'd ride it in a heartbeat if I had the chance, but I think this could have been done a little bit better. There are gonna be long lines
  11. @McSalsa I completely agree with you. I haven't made it shy on here that I've always wanted a dive coaster to come to the park one day per personal preference. I'm really surprised that there aren't more dive machines out there in the industry, especially given the fact that they're compact, tall, and are really popular with the GP. I feel like if the park got a dive machine, enthusiasts and the GP would be pretty tied over for a couple years- however, the same could be said for any park. I know that's probably the last possible coaster we'll ever get but it doesn't hurt to hope!
  12. Maybe parks like Kentucky Kingdom would work but it would be a nightmare for anything larger
  13. I read somewhere that it costs around $150 to run both locomotives a day for the Miami Valley Railroad. I could be inaccurate but I read it from a reputable source. @kimv1972 might know
  14. These are creative ideas, and I stress the word creative, however I don't think they'd work for a park like Kings Island- let alone a Cedar Fair park.
  15. Do you think we'll ever get more coasters over 200+ft besides possibly a giga?
  16. Resurrecting an old thread. I've been thinking about this recently- will Diamondback be stay the tallest coaster at KI? Sure we might get a giga but after that then what? I'd love to see KI have multiple coasters exceeding 200ft but other than a giga, I really don't see anything else topping Diamondback. Thoughts?
  17. I really want to see how KI will transition from Haunt, (I wish it could still be called FearFest), to Winterfest. No doubt they're will already be plenty of lights up for WF, maybe some lights might be re-purposed for both events.
  18. I apologize PTC fans but I prefer Millennium Flyer trains This is just a wish for the future but one can only dream
  19. Kind of on the topic of footers- do you think those old footers on the inner loop the K.I.&.M.V.R.R will be reused for Winterfest?
  20. Or a people mover if Ouimet wanted to go bold
  21. Look at it this way- if the park tears it down, there's one less building that they can work with for future projects. The only building I wish they would demolish is the old Crypt building. That building is way to big to for what's currently in it.
  22. Whenever I've ridden it this year, the other train would be dispatched while my train was climbing the final hill.
