  1. I should get an award for being the biggest steam train enthusiast/know it all.
  2. But also without Kings Island, parks like Kings Dominion, and Canada's Wonderland, wouldn't have been created. Also Kings Island had lots of new and unique things Cedar Point, Disney, and Six Flags didn't, so I think Kings Island kept the business growing by competing with other parks. If that makes sense.
  3. Why haven't we been seeing footers outside of the defunct thunder alley?
  4. Have you ever sat down and thought, "man, what would the world be like without Kings Island?" I believe that the amusement park industry would be completely different than what it is now. I saw a fascinating video called Kings Island History and it really opened my mind as to how important Kings Island is to the park amusement park industry. Gary Wachs said that at that time, amusement parks like six flags and disney were not as concerned of coasters. He mentioned that people from Six Flags came to see the park and they saw how big of an impact Racer got from guests that they had a new focus with their parks and roller coasters. To think that without The Racer and its huge popularity, the amusement park industry might have been decades behind what it is now. And as the years progressed, Kings Island continued to change the Amusement Park industry with rides like The Beast, The Bat, Vortex, Flight of Fear, as well as other factors throughout the park. What do you guys think the Amusement Park industry would be like if Kings Island was never built?
  5. I'm kinda confused. The B&M track was already on site for Diamondback before they made the announcement. But then again, disaster transport and space spiral still stood when Gatekeeper was announced.
  6. I kinda just realized this. If it is an invert, all the coasters in Action Zone would be suspended.
  7. This sounds familiar. All I know is this, the last time Kings Dominion announced a new record breaking attraction, it turned out to be a Planet Snoopy expansion. To be honest, anything will surprise me.
  8. I voted B&M because they manufactured the best steel coaster in the world, Diamondback This is awkward...
  9. It would have had to be the tracks by the Haunt platform right after the bridge because if it were by the turntable, then they could just exit the ride. That would be my guess. As for the reasons why WWC was evacuated, it's probably a problem with the water circulation. Just a guess.
  10. I don't think these two companies are comparable. But I prefer B&M
  11. Hmmmm. Out of the two companies, which one has the most down time in their coasters? Beat me to it
  12. Oh gosh, don't even think about it. i'm trying to keep up with this thread as much as it is.
  13. 300 pages over the course of 4 months
  14. I honestly have no idea S.O.B. who is eating a Snickers
  15. Whenever I am reading a thread, I never see the users reading the thread at the bottom of the page like usual.
  16. I love the Eiffel Tower. Ironically I horrified of Drop Tower and I could care less about WindSeeker
  17. Going up the hill on The Beast, a bunch of dudes behind me were chanting "Grizzly Sucks! Grizzly Sucks!"
  18. When do you think the media is going to start asking questions?
  19. I'm a sucker for logos that "interact" with the track. Diamondback's track tongue, The Beast's claws surrounding the track, the old tiki guy in Adventure Express, the old Vortex hand holding the twisted track.
  20. The Beast's is my favorite. My favorite defunct logo is King Kobra
