  1. Not trying to pull a Big Sexy, but my mom picked me up from KI and we were driving home south on 71 and I saw a semi heading north. The semi trailer had a timberliner train picture on the left and a wild mouse car picture on the right of the trailer. I didn't have time to take a pic so you don't have to believe me.
  2. Can it have dinosaurs? Then at the end there's a t-rex roaring before you drop? Oh wait, sorry, Orlando..
  3. y'know, that actually sounds pretty cool! Especially if you're a junkie...
  4. That's more certain than an indoor giga..
  5. Today at the Zoo talking to a Co-volunteer Her:Did you see the new coaster Kings Island is building? Me: yeah, its gonna be pretty cool. Her: Yeah, it's going to be a B and M giga coaster named Banshee Me: where'd you get your info? Her: Screamscape Me: that's not exactly an accurate site. I think its going to be a B&M Invert Her: No! It's going to be a large giga coaster! It's going to be put in the Son of Beast area Me:I'm still certain it's going to be an invert Her: It's going to be purple and black and indoors Me: Indoors? How can a giga coaster be indoors? Her: No! It's going to be a B and M giga-invert! Me:
  6. Its a rare moment when Terp makes an error. I'm very disappointed in you Terp
  7. All coasters have onride photos except for Surf Dog, Flying Ace Ariel Chase, Racer, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Invertigo, Flight Deck, Adventure Express and Racer. So you wanted to visit to the Island did you? Well go ahead But seriously, you picked a great choice to want to visit KI. As you drive down I-71, you will see nothing but fields until you pass a water park called The Beach. Then BAM! Past the fields and the trees lies Kings Island, the largest Amusement/water park in the Midwest. You see a humongous green tower as well as a colorful coaster/ tower skyline that is priceless. I recommend going up into the Eiffel Tower after your picture in front of the fountains. At 1/3rd the scale of the actual tower in Paris, it gives you a full view of what Kings Island has to offer. I recommend the Reds Hall of Fame Grille, the newest restaurant right next to Diamondback. Outside the park is just a Bob Evans, a skyline and just some ordinary restaurants. Oh and you have to try some blue Ice Cream. KI's coasters in a nutshell The Beast- World's longest wooden roller coaster and is probably one of the best Diamondback- tallest, fastest, and meanest coaster at KI (love that ride) Flight of Fear- its inside, its extraterrestrial, but it's not like Disaster Transport in any other way Firehawk- board a coaster that lets you fly Racer- The ride that created a new era of coasters Vortex- like Corkscrew on steroids Adventure Express- a really great mine ride with a surprise at the end Flight Deck- similar to Iron Dragon but still is fun, (if you mind the walk ) Invertigo- it's right next to the front gate and is a must ride coaster Backlot Stunt Coaster- ride in a mini cooper simulating a stunt ride Flying Ace Ariel Chase- Kid's inverted coaster Great Pumpkin coaster- the smallest and most kid-friendly coaster at KI Woodstock Express- a mini wooden coaster Surfdog- you surf along a very unique coaster Cedar Point cups? Nope sorry
  8. Now that I think about it, there are many many clones in the coaster world, yet they are all so different
  9. Exchange Backlot Stunt Coaster for Afterburn. Then rename it Banshee
  10. Kings Island's next coaster What do you think it will be?- Unknown What ride(s) would it replace?-(S.O.B. and Thunder Alley)
  11. Does that include the ipad claw machines?
  12. Haven't been there in years. Have the cheetahs always been by the elephants?
  13. They were. I don't know if they still are..
  14. Remember, most people on this forum have no clue what they are talking about, misread post
  15. Do you think the games at KI are really rigged? A lot people are convinced that they are.
  16. I kinda liked it when paramount would make the regular pathways more or less like alleyways much like the construction themed one (the name slips my mind).
  17. It kinda feels like War of the Flies on this site. What ever happened to the good old days?
  18. Speaking of Facebook, KI tagged Rob Dyrdek in their cover photo. It would be awesome to see him at KI! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151991507688368&set=a.10150821122978368.513320.155893938367&type=1&theater
  19. Maybe to a degree they all have parallel footers. But I think when you look at a lot of B&M coasters, you'll see a mix of staggered parallel footers for the supports. For instance, one set of supports for a portion of the lift hill may be positioned to the left under the track, while the next set of supports is positioned underneath and to the right. Look at an overhead shot of Diamondback and you'll see what I mean. On other B&M coasters, such as Intimidator at Carowinds, most of them seem to be set off to the left side under the lift hill. I think the difference we're seeing with KI Project 2014 is that the parallel footers all seem to be falling in line. And when you look at most B&M inverts, the parallel footers under lift hills usually seem to fall in line, or show some sort of symmetrical pattern. **Honestly, I could be gravely mistaken. But it seems the pattern of footers we're seeing matches more closely to those you find on inverts instead of above-the-track coasters. It is interesting. I just wonder if the time it takes to turn the train itself would offset the amount of time it takes to load using a dual-lane station. Kinda getting off topic, but what program makes the 3d renderings for the coasters?
  20. No pre-drop? That's not like B&M, or is it?
  21. S.O.B. who is eating cold pork and beans from a can....
  22. I recommend cargo shorts, they have multiple pockets with buttons that are designed to hold your stuff.....
