  1. I got you coming off Race For Your Life...
  2. I don't know for sure but if I was doing the job I would clear everything that needed to be removed prior to starting construction or pouring footers. If I am imagining this correctly the KC footers will be under the lift hill.
  3. I had a great time, thanks for letting the FNG in on the fun!
  4. The machine gun going off next to your ears on the lift hill is slightly annoying. I have yet to lose sunglasses on any ride at KI, including Firehawk.
  5. Lots of pre-formed rebar laying around behind Slingshot. Sorry for the picture, hopefully I can get some aerials later this month.
  6. Thanks, that eases my mind. Is there a schedule of events (ie. meetup time, early rides on Dodgem, Monster, etc. FOF tour) ?
  7. I bought my ticket a few hours ago. Should I be alarmed it says "Meal Only" ? I'm a season pass holder so I just ordered the $22 option.
  8. B & M inverter 200 lift hill 220 drop 7 inversions Final inversion over the top of AZ (over where water tower was) Green supports , dark grey track. The Banshee (illegitimate spawn of Son of Beast)
  9. I just received the FUN annual report and nothing is broken down financially by parks. 25M is probably within shouting distance; but that is a guess on my part.
  10. I learned to photobucket! A few more aerials from earlier. Thanks Jayblazer for posting my first shots.
  11. Also whomever posted the comment about survey flags on the hill they are absolutely correct. They are visible from the lift hill on AE if you turn around and check it out as of 5 minutes prior to this post.
  12. Anyone else have the thought that the water tower was removed to allow the presumed coaster to go OVER the center of AZ? (ala Gatekeeper over the entrance to the park). Or was it removed for some other stated reason?
  13. I would recommend ASI at Dayton Wright Bros. Airport , Lebanon Warren County Airport or Stewart Flying Service at Waynesville. For a few extra bucks they could swing you past CSF in Batavia and see what is hiding in their back lot behind the fence.
  14. The skies above Kings Island are free to anyone, unlike the Disney parks. Anyone can get these same shots. Call the flight school at any local airport and tell them you want a photo flight over Kings Island. It will cost you somewhere between $50-$100 for the plane and the pilot (instructor). And in case you like roller coasters... You can trace your own path through the sky. Even in a Cessna you can experience g forces (+ and -) and sharp climbs and descents. You do need an aerobatic airplane to go upside down however.
  15. Cessna 172. About 2500' msl/ 1700-1800 above the ground.
  16. Maybe, but resolution just isn't good enough.
  17. Thanks to all, Jayblazzer said he will post. Thanks DontWantToWait42mar0, when I get your email Ill send them to you, too. While I covered more of the area, nothing is clear other than its going to be big!
  18. I have some aerial pics from today but no photobucket. Message me and ill email and you can post.
  19. Footers are in the ground. Construction is actively taking place. Most everyone agrees its a coaster. Most think its going to be named "Banshee". Most are hoping its going to be a B & M. That is all that is known right now.
  20. That could be anything. Its more likely that will be tied to the Gold Pass deadline at the end of the month. But yes, I do want more.
  21. My six year old was thrilled to ride FoF (Front seat!) on Saturday. She returned on Wednesday and was denied. Now she knows she needs her hair braided on top and what shoes to wear!
  22. No, Federal Aviation Regulation Part 77 controls height restrictions.. Advisory Circulars (AC) are advisory only. A lawyers opinion is irrelevant. The highest (controlling) obstacle for Warren County airport is SSW, 1898 msl, as depicted on the I68 RNAV 1 Approach procedure. I'd stake my instrument instructor certificate on it. Still hoping for an B & M inverter.
  23. Warren County airport is several miles north of Kings Island. A departure analysis using a runway 19 departure does show an obstacle but it much closer than Kings Island. Several radio towers south of the airport are taller than anything Kings Island has built or even considered. Long story short the FAA really wouldn't complain about anything Kings Island is building as long as it lit appropriately at night. My money is on a B&M Inverter, btw.
