It's been officially announced by Cedar Point that Mean Streak will be closing. Considering Kings Island has the same owners as Cedar Point, and Kings Island has announced they are building a new wooden roller coaster, is anyone else concerned that if Racer were to experience a hiccup or two, that it too may also get the Axe? I have heard complaints of both Mean Streak and Racer being "rough".

Considering it's at the very end of the ride, I believe it will be something anti-climatic similar to the end of Adventure Express.

It's obvious now that Cedar Fair is going to spend all the bank to put in the biggest and best rides at Cedar Point. Just go to Cedar Point instead you say? Well that would sound reasonable if they didn't have a serious bug infestation. The way I see it, the best thing that can happen to Kings Island is to be sold to a company that knows what it actually needs. The people who talk about making it more about families, news flash! Kings Island is not going to become Disney Ohio all of a sudden. Also the food KI tries to peddle is on par with school lunches from back in the 90's

I can see now why this coaster is halfway in Planet Snoopy. Can you say boring kiddy coaster? On top of that watch them make a policy half way through the season that it is not allowed to put your hands up on this coaster, similar with what they did with the snapping on Woodstock gliders. I see what Cedar Fair has planned for Kings Island now, its the kiddy land that Cedar Point doesn't have, just a few miles south.

Just saying there are a lot of silly guesses making this thread read like a little kid's Christmas list.

This thread has 6+ pages already of "decoding". You all obviously don't know anything about what's in the shed. I guess it's true what they say, ignorance is bliss.

Personally I'm not getting my hopes up.

Makes me think of this: Maybe it can even be a giga in the box..You know how much we wanted one of those!

Looks like Racer is going to be replaced by Mystic Timbers, as they have practically the same stats but with one just being more modern. Racer was a good ride at Kings Island for a long time. Post your best Racer memories.

Lurking in the woods of Rivertown? That's The Beast obviously. Perhaps they are adding more track to The Beast ?? One can dream.

If this coaster's drop is shorter than Beast's then I Shirley expect to see an inversion(s).

I get the impression The Interpreter has traveled all around the United States to ride roller coasters, only to say he likes maybe a handful of them.

The best wooden roller coaster ever. The End. Why they ever tore it down we'll never know.

Banshee is nice and all, but I just wish I could go back to the days that I could easily ride Diamondback 10+ times per visit. It used to feel like you would continuously move through the queue, now Diamondback takes so much longer to get on.

I'd rename Backlot Stunt Coaster. I'd change it to Disaster Transport.

Backyard Ball sounds like something me and my homies play in the summertime.

Opinions are splendid. What's frustrating and eye-roll-inducing is that a few users here are posting as if they're insiders, "blessing" us with little hints and photos of where things will be with sly, coy "winks" that are supposed to impress us and make us swoon with just how elite they must be. We're supposed to be bamboozled with how they got this information and plead for them to share more. These posters are decidedly NOT insiders – if they ever were, they wouldn't have remained that way for long. Given that they're not insiders, that means 1) they're either faking it and pretending to be in the know (which is not cool, fun, cute, or admirable) ~ OR ~ 2) they really did find out through some coincidence, a friend-of-a-friend connection, something illicit, etc (which makes these little "winks" ESPECIALLY not cool, fun, cute, or admirable). Speculation is fun. Opinions and guesswork and hopes and fears and desires are what makes "decoding" such a fun annual past time for enthusiasts and guests. Someone who purports to know-it-all – whether genuinely or otherwise – sucks the fun out of it for those of us who are enjoying each other's company and learning what different members here look for in their rides. I have posted similarly in the past and been ignored by said users, who know who they are. So be it. But I'll ask again: just to let the rest of us have some fun, leave the cute little "winks" to the park? If you are indeed right, we'll know soon enough and you can gloat then. I won't see it, but I'm sure some here will! There are those here who truly and absolutely know what the park is doing in 2017. They are not posting about it. So nice I think it should be said twice.

I hope with this coaster Kings Island one ups Holiday World. I give Beast an edge over Voyage. Daytime: Voyage > Beast Nighttime: Beast >>> Voyage But Raven is a darn good coaster as well.
