Ok...thanks everybody! What the heck is a mufflehead?

Im flying out of Tampa today, will be in Dayton by 6, and twelve hours later will be enroute to Sandusky. Then I'll be doing KI for the 4th. Instead of waiting until the whole trip is over with, I thought I'd post as I go along. REALLY looking forward to Cedar Point. My 9 yo son has never been, and it's been 20 years for me. Have to say that I'm a little concerned though. The attitude that I get from the Point fb page is that I shouldn't be expecting all of the rides to be running on the day I visit. Almost like, unless I spend 3 days there, it would be naive of me to assume Id get to ride everything, because of maintenance issues. I know all parks have to deal with this. Heck, Sheikra was down for two months earlier this year for a paint job and maintenance. However,BG is open 365 so when are they gonna do it? So we'll see how it goes. Thinking positive, ready to ride! ( cue the Chariots of Fire theme song as my son and I make a mad dash for the front gate )

Geeezzzz! So I read the autism thread, then I come over here to find everyone complaining about waiting as well. Maybe you all should just go see a movie or something. I heard World War Z is pretty good. Just sayin. :-\

Does anyone know if KI has ever sold out fast passes/plus for the day? They advertise "limited quantities", just wondering.

I dunno...I could see if they put a picture of Wendy on there, only instead of a redhead she's a brunette...something like that. I could never confuse a Wendy's frosty with a "frosties" from my freezer at home...even if it has red letters and yellow packaging.

I haven't rode the Streak in well over 15 years...will be giving it another shot next week. When Gwazi opened here at BG in 99, my first reaction was...Last time my back and neck felt this way was on.... Anyway, they replaced the trains on Gwazi a few years ago, which did seem to improve the ride. Didn't last long though. Gwazi is just to rough for me. The Tiger side hasn't ran in forever, and rumor has it Gwazi will be gone by 2015,16. I remember this at Cyprus Gardens....I think it's great it's going back to the beach. I just find it amazing how a coaster can be torn down and rebuilt and moved again and again. I live here and have yet to ride the rip rocket. Every time I've been there the piece o crap has been down. Glad you got to ride it. :-)

The ride ops here at Busch Gardens do a pretty good job. Then again, we're allowed to drink in line. So if they're stacking, my friends and I haven't noticed. :-D

Um...its ok. Growing up in Dayton, Marions was, and is, my first choice. When I visit in July, Marions will be my first stop off the plane.

I work in the public sector, and provide service to disabled people. All I can say to any business is consult your attorney, and make sure your policies fall within ADA guidelines. No more no less. Try to be everything to everyone and you will fail. Kings Island is a great park, and makes a great effort to provide a wonderful experience for everyone.

I noticed in the last few posts, no one mentioned this one thing...which is what Im having an issue with... If a disabled person asks me to be seated first at a diner I go to, for whatever reason, Ud be more than happy to help. But if I show up and see a group protesting the diner, because the owner didnt happen to fully accomodate their specific disability, when I know the diner makes a great effort to accomodate everybody, ....THATS what I have a problem with.... and it makes me not want to help the next time...

Just asking...how do people with autism: wait for a city bus, wait to be seated in a restaurant, wait in line for a haicut, etc. I mean, are public transit, diners, and barbers infringing on civil rights for not providing immediate service? Im sorry, but parents expecting the masses to part like the red sea for them are not being realistic. I agree with KI policy.

Im glad I have my season pass price locked in. Prices just went up $4 to 89.00 for single day admission. Anyway, the Falcon is being built in the Timbuktu area, and is being built on the site of the Sandstorm, which closed last month. Intamin is yhe builder of another ride we have called Cheeta Hunt. Fun ride...but alot of breakdowns, and its the slowest loading coaster in the park. If its busy, my son and I dont bother, even with a wristband. Falcon will only sit 32 people, so you might have to bring an extra beer in line with ya. SO.... aside from all of that......WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!
