  1. Every point you made is valid and completely correct. Unfortunately it does not change my desires haha. Ill just settle for someone different that B&M coming next. I know I am spoiled with the coasters I have around me but CP is about 3hrs from me and I just wish KI had coasters to match the intensity the top tier rides at CP bring to the table. All just wishful thinking, I am very thankful that I live close to a high caliber park like KI. I will just be happy if landscaping becomes a priority again. Trees, flowers, and ponds would be much welcomed, cheap, and enjoyable to everyone. Whatever ride comes next I am sure will be fun, but I am also sure it won't be what I want. That's ok though, most people do not want what I want and it is a business.
  2. While that is not what I hope for, that would be a truly unique and novel addition and I would not be disappointed. I (selfishly) want to see KI take risks like they use to and push boundaries. I know why they don't, they can get roi on safe investments so there isn't a need for risks. That said, it wluld be nice to not have the most docile version of whatever ride we get next. In all fairness, Banshee did surprise me with it's forcefullness and I think its a very good invert.
  3. I am not trying to be a contrarian and I have mad love for my home park, but what unique coaster elements does KI have?
  4. That shuttle to BGW baffles me. I am sure they got a package deal but it just seems like such a boring one trick pony. Now Pantheon...that looks like a darn fine ride. I am really pulling for velocicoaster and Pantheon to have no big issues so we can see Intamin make it back to Cedar Fair. They both seem like very complicated rides though so I am not counting on it going too smoothly.
  5. If we get a dive coaster I will be so sad. Ive ridden 3, and i have not thought much of any of them. Very boring, long and drawn out elements and very short rides. They are beautiful to look at though, I will admit that.
  6. I would love a swim up bar and adult lazy river soooooooo much! A rum and punch or strawbery daiquiri while floating in a lazy river would be amazing.
  7. I agree with you on the operations but they have many terrific rides that make the visit worth it in my eyes. Maverick is world class, TTD is an amazing rush, Millennium Force is not just a great ride but also has a great location...from a rides standpoint Cedar Point blows KI out of the water.
  8. Im going to CP tomorrow, does anyone here know if TTD and Wicked Twister are back open? I am only asking here because covid was cited as the reason for their closure initially.
  9. I've definitely noticed a rattle on Orion. I do not mind it though.
  10. I am torn between riding Phantom Theater when I was young with my brothers and a story that I will not post on a family friendly site. The first one has me looking up povs of the ride monthly, the second has me replicating the experience once a year at either CP or KI.
  11. Don't sweat it, it is hard to convey intent through text. No worries.
  12. So if someone thinks differently they are entitled? I will write that down for future reference. 2020 has taught me it is very important to pick a tribe and hate the other tribe.
  13. Walked on Drop Tower and Invertigo. Seems most of the crowd is at Orion. It is a good time to hit other rides.
  14. I did not touch on theming, which is a HUGE step forward for Cedar Fair. Very well done in that department.
  15. Breaking news! What people like is subjective! Lol I am glad people love it. I agree it is a good ride. Not in my top 5, probably not top 10, but a very good addition.
  16. In all fairness it is short for a giga. Length wise it is a lot of track, ride time wise it is short.
  17. I didnt mind the rattle one bit, nothing painful at all. It was definitely there though.
  18. Definitely felt a rattle in row 6.
  19. Having ridden Orion about a half hour ago, I will give my review while i enjoy an adult beverage. The first drop is great, it maintains speed, but is not very forceful at any point at all. The last hill is great airtime, but when you hit the break run you can feel how much longer that thing wants to go. I wish it had more time to play out the speed, but it is a very fun ride that the gp will find reridable. It is not what i hope for in a giga, but it is in my opinion the best ride in the park now. Don't mistake my enthusiast wants for unrealistic expectations, I get i305 is not what brings money in and this is a very good ride.
  20. We all knew some would follow the rules and some wouldn't and still came. Evaluate the risk-reward and decide if it is worth it. Everyone should follow the rules but it is impossible to enforce 100% compliance. I am not letting it ruin my day or mood.
  21. Don is walking around area 72 currently.
  22. Im just going to park my car in this turn lane and come back after a ride or two.
  23. ok, I am not impatient just curious. It is impossible for there not to be kinks, I am just happy to be here!
  24. Are they letting people in the parking lot? I have not moved for 10 minutes.
