  1. Have you ever had a group gathering, event, or party at King's Island? Obviously prices vary on how many people you invite and what options you choose (catering, not catering, meal vouchers, etc.) But if you have, was it worth the cost? How helpful are the King's Island staff? If you used catering, how was your experience?
  2. Lol, My Phone Capitalizes Every Word Here For Some Reason. No Where Else, Just Here
  3. I Don't Fear It, But Appreciate When Security Measures Are Taken, Even If Its Just A Bag Check. As I Have Never Been To KI Before, Are Bag Checks A Normal Thing? Because My Bag Was Not Searched And There Was No One Checking Bags At All. This Was Slightly Concerning Because I Have Never Been To A Large Public Attraction Without This Happening. Especially After A Major Incident Like Boston. I Like To At Last Pretend These Small Measures Make A Difference.
  4. I Think They Reserve The Right To Measure Barefoot Because Some Shoes Add Height. I Used To Have Sneakers As A Kid That Had About 2 Inch Spikes All The Way Around. Funny Thing Is,I Just Saw A Pair Like Then In Walmart Yesterday! Lets Also Not Forget That Some Parents Will Stuff The Heels Of Shoes So Kids Appear Taller. I Don't Know If That Happens At KI, But That's A Common Passed "Trick" On Disney Forums. Seems Silly To Me. My Parents Just Didn't Take Us To Theme Parks During Those Iffy In Between Years.
  5. Sorry, That Formatted Weird On My Phone. I Was Just Saying It May Be 3Pm, We Were There On Education Days
  6. my mistake, it was a few weeks ago so I'm sure it is 5pm.
  7. You Know, They Don't Even Have To Offer The Souviner Cups With Discounted Refills. On The Water Issue. We Bought Bottled Water In The First Place Because The First Set Of Water Fountains We Encountered Were Hot And Tasted Weird. Water Tastes Different In Various Areas Because Of Different Treatments, Minerals, Source, Etc. If You're Not Used To The Local Water, It Can Be Unpleasant. I.e. Floridas Sulfur Tasting Water. Also, Online It Said We Couldn't Bring In Our Own Water Bottles. We Did Eventually Find Good Fountains And Refilled Those Bottles. We Only Had Coke When We Ate At The Reds Grille
  8. 3 Pm? We WereTold 5Pm On our Visit
  9. We ate at the Red's grille. My friend got the chicken tender meal with chips, the boyfriend got the fancy burger (forget the name, had bbq sauce, bacon , and fried onion ring), and I got the kid's chicken tender meal. Portion size: Large. The whole plate was filled with chips on my counterparts' meals, mine was as well, but fries. Hence why I got the 's meal. 3 tenders and generous amount of fries was more than enough. Taste: The Chicken tenders were delicious. They taste hand breaded as claimed. They we're juicy and hot. Very good. Saratoga Chips: The base side with meals (fries are extra) thick cut, freshly made I assume, no flavor. The chips were not seasoned, not even salt. Fries: Delicious.Thick, wedge cut fries. Worth the small up charge over the chips. Burger: Although the toppings like bacon and the onion ring were good, the meat was unseasoned and over cooked. Joe did not finish the burger, which is very rare. The burger was a quarter pounder, the only size they serve. Price: Decent. Cheaper than I would have thought for a sit down restraunt in a theme park. Service: Decent. Not bad, but not outstanding. Building: wide open spaces, didn't feel crowded. Air conditioning was nice, although we were informed that only the right side of the restraunt was working. Not sure if the case always, our just broken. Overall: Good experience. Nice place to take a break/chill out, but I'm not sure it'll be a need to eat at place on our next visit.
  10. Thanks for all the input! It's unlikely that we will attend the parks during the summer due to the heat. My boyfriend does not fair well above certain temperatures and we noticed a lack of shade in the parks. 85 degrees on Wednesday was pushing it, but there was a nice constant breeze. Although, that saving grace of a breeze didn't allow WindSeeker to run. :/ We took a friend with us this time, we both agree we'd like to experience the park on our own. We get a good price on tickets from Kroger being in Louisville, so a second trip would totally be in our budget. I will definitely be looking forward to a future trip! And thanks for the welcome as well!
  11. My boyfriend and I went to KI yesterday (May 15) because since most schools were still in session and it was a Wednesday that crowds would be light. We had a fantastic time and were able to walk onto practically every ride. We loved KI, I had never been and he hadn't been in about 15 years. What are the best times to go for light crowds? I was looking at the two weeks in August when they change the schedule to 10am-8pm. Are these weeks low attendance as well? Thanks in advance!
