  1. And yes, I said they should rename Flight Deck "The Bat" like 30 pages ago! Grey naval theming never worked for that ride... There's not a drop of water in sight!
  2. Nah, this ride will be called Banshee. The Bat wing coaster will go in the old Bat's spot once Vortex sinks.
  3. This all sounds good to me, but how does Banshee fit into AZ? Maybe a retirement of the entire area into a Halloween style park section... You could rename "Flight Deck" "The Bat" (because really... Since when did naval theming work for a ride through the woods?)
  4. Ha, now some of you are on a witch hunt to find this guy in real life, and... Do what exactly? Flip him the bird? Complain about him and try to get him fired? This is insanity. I hope this new ride gets revealed soon so I can be done with this site.
  5. THIS. Most godawful coaster experience I've ever had. The physical effort it took to fight against that thing's onslaught was truly incredible.
  6. Now they're just messing with us! Perhaps this entire construction site is a diversion... They're just building and rearranging footers in a very public place to keep us occupied while they secretly build the real ride out in the woods...
  7. Except Diamondback is not a terrain coaster nor was it ever intended to be. This is true. But what I mean is, when you ride on Diamondback, it's clear, mowed grass for 50 plus feet on either side of you. They could have easily left some trees in close to the track to enhance the sensation of speed, but they didn't. This makes me doubtful of any future attempts at an actual terrain coaster. However, I would love to be proven wrong.
  8. With the colossal amount of land they cleared out for Diamondback, I don't think either Cedar Fair or KI remembers how to build a good terrain coaster. And my issue with inverts is that unless you're in the front seat, you can't see anything. So I guess I hope it's a giga.
  9. You only get one first post, so I'm going to make mine freaking insane. Let's say, just for fun, we get a B&M Giga. B&M's all seem to follow similar storylines, lots of airtime and fun in the first half, then the midcourse brakes, and then a lackluster finale. They're always a bit boring in the second half. I have a solution to fix this problem: Make the last bit of the coaster out of wood. Think about it... Diamondback for the first half, The Beast for the finale. It would be the first of it's kind, it would get King's Island back to it's old ways of creating outside-of-the-box rides, and it would be a great way to pay homage to the monster that previously stood in it's place. Will never, ever, ever, EVER happen. But wouldn't it be cool if it did?
