The Beast is such a great experience. I remember the surreal moment after the first time riding it. The whole world had opened up to me, and suddenly those big bad roller coasters weren't as terrifying. For so many people, it is treated as a rite of passage. I still thank my brother for getting me to ride it that first time. I wouldn't have loved roller coasters if weren't for The Beast. Here's to you big guy! Happy 35!

We're in a wind advisory over here in Indiana. Not sure about Ohio... 40 mph wind gusts, with rain and dropping temperatures... Not the greatest day for testing, to me at least.

It's a bright, sunny, beautiful day! Testing! 1..2..3.. Perhaps not. With the forecasted weather, I dare say tomorrow doesn't bode much better!

I concur Shaggy! That ride was, and will always be one my most memorable childhood experiences at Kings Island. I still cherish the times my dad would take me on them, more so now that he has suffered a brain aneurysm. It's amazing that even today, some 12 years later, we still talk about it!

If you can, post some pictures! The skyline must look pretty with the lift hill and drop mostly complete.

I am enjoying the fact that we are debating the color of the track. To me it doesn't have the Cedar Fair red, but I also agree with YoungStud that the general public could perceive it as simply red. Perhaps the debate will never end, subsequently causing more people to go to the park to see for themselves. The color could unintentionally be a marketing ploy!

When I was in 8th grade, I dreamed of owning and building my own amusement park. I think you'll be able to find others that are interested in roller coasters.

I am loving all of these ideas! Perhaps they could just go back to Adventure Village, and have a more small settlement feel to it. They could redo the rides to have colonial/superstitious theming, which could tie into Banshee. And as with most on here, I would LOVE for Flight Deck to be renamed The Bat! An orange and black track would really stand out and define the ride.

This will be a wonderful addition for our beloved park. The colors pop, the layout is unique, even the logo looks great IMO!

True that. I can't imagine the fun of driving through storms, then construction traffic jams on 275, and then finally the massive fog.. haha.

Lost of rain, wind and lightening here in Southeastern Indiana. Looks like it is heading slightly towards KI, maybe a bit North; the stage and setting is set.

The Beast is usually shut down for a time due to the fireworks, as they inspect the track for any debris. But you may be right for this particular night.
