Honestly the main thing attractive about the haunt right now is a chance to ride Orion at night. Not all of us can make it down there on the 4th. Who would have though getting a night ride on the new coaster would be a rare thing.

This one is the gamebreaker for me. I ride at night (look at the name). Hope the park didn't need my business this season.

I want the safest path to opening even if that means waiting a little longer. Safety beats entertainment every time.

I miss Kyle of Sparta from a couple seasons ago on The Beast. He always seemed to enjoy the mic and made me smile. Most spielers I just end up tuning out though because trying to follow along is like nails on a chalk board. look at that, he's on youtube

With how small the area of interest is, I'm starting to believe if it is a coaster that maybe they are taking their time on prepping the land to save money. This might not be something that's completed till 2018 if that's the case.

When I asked a Beast crew member why the lights in the double helix tunnel were on he responded with "They are supposed to be". /facepalm

My argument is ert is offered at other Cedar Fair parks and is twice as better. Being a platinum pass owner it irks me that some perks get modified or neutered if you will when it comes to my home park. Back when it was an hour I would get a decent amount of rides in during the first half hour. Yes it was due to population but isn't that the point? If they don't wanna bring back the full hour for everyone making the first half hour platinum pass exclusive would be even nicer. It actually brings a platinum pass perk to Kings Island which in the grand scheme of the gold pass they are sorely missing.

Anyone notice yet that they have a revolving ERT ride schedule this year (as if things weren't confusing enough already). Personally I haven't bothered with ERT since they reduced it to 30 mins. 1 ride before the park opens isn't enough motivation for me to get there early, which to me is a failure in terms of pass perks. Cedar Point still gets an hour (always has.. love morning rides on millennium) , why can't we?

I myself would love a giga at my home park. I venture up the point usually a couple times a year but have yet to enjoy a night ride on Millennium Force due to hoards of bugs that swarm the lake. I would just love to be able to ride a giga at night bug free without having to make a 6 hour trip to do so. I ride exclusively in the front btw, hence the bug windshield issue. Considering it seems Cedar Fair are putting up a giga in each of their parks I don't see this as too much of a stretch... especially considering how much space we have at the Island.

Having dined at both skylines in the park this season Coney Mall seemed to be the way to go. On a day that both were open and one is given the choice. At least you get your food after the point of sale and don't have to "wait to pay while food gets cold".

Very much looking forward to finally getting our giga. If i were to guess I would expect to see it start construction in 2018-19.

Just my opinion but wouldn't it make more sense to add preview nights and ride nights as platinum perks? In the grand scheme of things there isn't much platinum pass value in terms of perks at KI vs CP.(CP doesn't have a gold pass option) It may not be a popular opinion but I've always appreciated the low crowds for ride nights at CP. It's pretty cool to you know you're riding with the biggest enthusiasts and very few casuals.

I've been asking for them to bring back passholder appreciation nights for a couple years now. Back in the Paramount era iirc they would do a couple Fridays in May from like 5pm till close for passholders only. I used to love this. I've also been pushing for CP like ride nights throughout the summer at KI. I was very thankful for the Banshee ride night earlier this year, was a blast.

Unless of course your one week to hit the point is just after a water main break that also just happens to be the weekend TTD was down all weekend. I'll agree it has gotten much better... but still seems like it can go down if the ride op sneezes on the panel.

Please guys, this isn't a 8 ball thread, this isn't a future trip planning thread. Current wait times for rides at Kings Island only.

In my opinion they should overhaul the tiers at KI and just have standard and platinum. Just make the free parking the early bird special on the passes that expires after Memorial Day. Less confusion all around.

I wouldn't be opposed to a platinum only lot. It might actually help drive platinum sales a bump.

I usually hit Banshee first and work my way around.

@Delirium2018 The park will not stop you from leaving the line to take care of your medical needs, however your special need does not constitute an excuse to return to your spot. You can't expect Cedar Fair to just allow diabetics to leave the line and return to their spot... it would cause not only chaos but suddenly everyone would have an excuse to leave and return. You are in no way restricted from leaving the line, but its understood that by leaving the line you lose your spot so my advice to you would be plan your que's accordingly. ps I am also a diabetic.

I know trains were stacking pretty bad around 5pm... and that was with GM Greg on deck. The crew were even taking time to buckle the belts of empty seats. That isn't even done on Beast. I asked Gary Coleman about the belts before I rode and he said "It's a bummer". He was on ride 10172.

CP gets 4 ride nights... I'm happy with the one (more than we've had since CP took over) but would have been ecstatic if there was also a late season Beast/DB night. KI having a ride night without The Beast being involved just feels wrong.
