I'm not sure if my requests to the PR department or posting feedback on here had any effect on us getting a Ride Night but I just wanna say thank you to Kings Island for giving us one.

@xgatorhead8904 There's nothing saying that if they dropped gold passes they couldn't add some kind of seasonal parking pass for those customers that wanted free parking but not the perks of getting in all CP parks. One parking pass vs everyone getting a gold pass might actually save the consumer money.

IMO 1 Free fastlane per platinum pass per season would be a great perk. Not only that I bet it would sell more fast lanes than they lost giving them out due to platinum passholders seeing how nice it is and buying at least one more time during the season. If one free per pass isn't logical perhaps one free "buy one get one free" per season would be in the fastlane department. Also to address CP not having gold passes they don't need them, and neither do we. What's the point in having 3 teirs on the passes really? KI should have dropped gold passes when CP bought them and migrated gold perks into the platinum teir. That's why we're in the confusing state of affairs we are now with 3 teirs.

I've always felt like Plat perks were an afterthought at Kings Island. Why else do we not get plat passholder ride nights? We have enough coasters to support an hour of ERT when the park closes 2-4 times a year on a specific coaster. I also think they could make the first 30 mins of ERT each day Plat only then allow gold in at 9:30am like they are now. Give us more reasons to get a plat pass if we frequent KI... I know I feel its value @ CP.

I suppose I'll just head up the chain with my requests and see if it makes a difference perhaps for next year.

Its only 30 mins again this year. I requested it be moved back to an hour like previous years (still an hour at CP) seeing as how 30 min's barely gets you enough time to get 1 maybe 2 rides in before the "herd" of public shows up. I also requested we get a few plat pass holder ride nights ala CP or passholder appreciation nights, they used to do this on a couple fridays in may from like 5-10pm but its been years. I guess its gonna take more than me requesting to get heard. I still think its sad that I feel like I get far more value for my plat pass @ CP verses my home park, KI.

I know they offer a one time trial membership. I wanna say its 25 dollars for 6 months for the trial. I can't say much in terms of events (haven't researched) but I know that they get the last public train on Beast on the final day of each season at closing time. (pretty cool perk if you ask me)

I'm happy with Banshee... but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't some internal disappointment when it wasn't a giga. This is mainly due to the fact that I ride coasters in the front and the giga we have in our state comes with lots of bugs @ night. It's hard to enjoy a coaster when you're getting smacked in the face constantly.

That would require it to be 8,134 feet... might be a "stretch".

I was thinking more of an intermittent scream now and then, not have the trains scream the whole time.

If it does end up being Banshee (i assume it will) it would be sweet if they themed the trains with Banshee wail audio. Then when you were near the coaster you'd hear Banshee's flying around. (it also might have the nice side effect of drowning out annoying screaming riders ) Perhaps take it a step further and make them only wail at night. Perhaps the screaming scarecrows might be a clue that they already plan to do this.

@Diamondbackandbeastlover I would venture to guess the "new items that arrived last night" and "can be found for those who know where to look for it" was referring to the apples, other fruits and salads available at the KI Marketplace he talked about in a later post.

I would venture to guess that a quick call to CSF would clear up their views on whats trespassing on their property and what isn't. One could even inquire about a tour of the facility(which to me sounds awesome).

I find it funny that we might get an invert with relation to The Bat to fill the void(out and back inversion coaster) in the park that Vortex will leave on its exit (whenever that is) when it in fact replaced The Bat. Anyone else find the irony in that?

@bmbillups Until official announcement there's always a chance, but evidence to the contrary is showing up more and more each day.

^A charity event sounds like a great idea to break the new coaster in. I would also like to thank the Dane and all the admins for taking personal time to maintain the site, our discussion forum, plan events ect.

I myself would like a better explanation than getting "cleaned up". Cleaned up to me sounds like a PR friendly way of saying CENSORED! This is america right...? not china. Since when did our discussion not belong to us?

@CoasterXtreme I agree with you, the only reason I'm thinking they might be shooting for the haunt is due to not being able to get the track made in time. It would also explain why the footers haven't been going down very fast.
