  1. where did you discover this information? start at about 1:25 secs. Also it said outside the track. I thought they said below.
  2. I hope that this ride is not trimmed I would hope it is trimmed, so they can run 3 trains and not 2. Trims do not permit additional trains to be run! (See the trims on The Beast) I call mid-course brakes trims. I hope there no trims, but hope for a mid-course brake run.
  3. I hope that this ride is not trimmed I would hope it is trimmed, so they can run 3 trains and not 2.
  4. I watched that news report again about the new roller coaster and discovered something most people probably looked over. They said" It may leave passengers supended below the track and will be the 4th of it's kind in the country. 4th of it's kind? That means a wing coaster, but below the track is an invert. I'm wondering will it be a wing coaster like Gatekeeper ever though Cedar Fair said no new are planned wing coasters?
  5. Is this true or is this just a test of the new website with fake info? The clues don't add up.
  6. Well I'm just saying it will be a B&M. Your right it doesn't really matter, but I would still like to come up with a good guess at what the ride is before it's announced.
  7. If you look at the footings on the KI Project and this Intamin Moto-Coaster, you can tell it's not Intamin. It's clearly B&M. I'm about 99% sure it's B&M, but I'm not sure what kind it would be. It wouldn't be a flying, Dive, or Wing. That means it could be a floorless, giga, invert, or stand-up. This is Tatsu's footing at SFMM. Look at the bolts and how similar the bolts for 2014 coaster are.
  8. I did some research on past Cedar Fair rides. I looked at Leviathan and construction started very early like the KI project. It seems very odd, because it looks just like this. I now believe that the invert is out of the picture and it's going to be a Giga or Strata. If you take a look at the Canada's Wonderland Disscussion on TPR, you can see similar construction. The only thing that sticks out to me is the time they started construction. CW started construction in July and KI in April. I think Leviathan was a "test run" for a B&M giga. I think there either going with a looping giga, B&M strata, or a longer Leviathan(like Steel Dragon 2000, but B&M). I just believe that it would cost too much to build an invert that can take up all of the land that SOB used, plus the go-karts area. Something tells me that the ride will have near misses and go underground due to the theme KI is putting out.
  9. I think the Napoleon Dynamite thing is a trick question. I think what its saying is that the new ride would have been his favorite because of what the ride does or what theme it has. Maybe were suppost to connect the dots with these clues. Field of Dreams, You want me on that wall, you need me on that wall, were right back from where we started, What would be Napoleon Dynamite's favorite roller coaster at Kings Island, what was that, and nothing to see up here. What do these clues mean? Field of Dreams and Naplolean Dynamite are both movies. Right back to where we started could be SOB, King Cobra, or anything near that area.
  10. Lots of different types have these. Diamondback has one under the hammerhead turn for example. Your right, but I would be suprised if they build something like Diamondback, so thats why I said could it be a Floorless. I know Canada's Wonderland did get a giga when they had a hyper, but I think they might do something like Hydra at Dorney. Look at the footing from Medusa, it has a similar bolt line up as what this new ride's footings. I believe those footings near Sling Shot are for an Inversion.
  11. I was watching an old episode of Insane Coaster Wars that had Medusa From Six Flags Discovery Kingdom when I noticed it used a similar triangle footing. So B&M does do those types of footings and could this mean it's a floorless? They used it's on Medusa when it on the dive loop. You can see those footings for the main dive loop supports and at the bottom of the dive loop.
  12. What I find strange is that The Racer has been showing up alot on the KI Facebook page. The Racer is an older coaster, so I think its weird that its been showing alot. I've been hearing the sports related theme for the ride. Would The Racer have anything to do with this new ride? Could there be hints in a few of the KI Facebook posts? Could this new 2014 ride be a dueling coaster or some sort of high speed launch coaster themed as something like a race car or other sport? I have a few ideas, like the theme is an old sports field not in operation anymore and some creature similar to The Beast might be living there. Could be a none horror theme like TTD at Cedar Point. I did see a post on the KI Twitter page where someone said,"I would like to see something like TTD", and KI reponded, " TTD is an amazing ride". Could it be like the new Full Throttle coaster at SFMM? If it's another theme like The Beast, it should have lots of G-force and get really close to walkways like Full Throttle at SFMM. As you can tell I really would like to see a new Premier LSM launch coaster. Wait, could the theme be Intimidator 305?
  13. From what I have seen, there building a new area with new rides. This area where footings are being place could be for new flat rides and stores. This land is way too much for one coaster. This would cost more than 30 million $, maybe even 40 million$. I believe there will be a new roller coaster where SOB was. It's most likely not B&M, but if it was a B&M of some kind it should be a stand-up. I was riding Riddler's Revenge a Six Flags Magic Mountain and thought about how long ago it was that B&M built a stand-up. Also Riddler's Revenge is the world's longest, tallest, and fastest stand-up and it's held this record for 15 years. I would like too see a taller, faster, smoother stand-up. If KI gets a stand-up it will be the only new stand-up for 2014. This would cause alot of people to ride it. It would also be similar to how they themed SOB off of the The Beast. Maybe it's time for Son of Cobra. I do believe theres a chance that this could happen, but I believe it would most likely be a Rocky Mountain looping wood coaster to take on SOB's special feature. For those who say if they were going to this they wouldn't have taken down SOB. I think this ride if wooden could be taller and faster, plus the lift hill could be in another area. I do remember hearing from Rocky Mountain that,"other sets of trains Gen 2, Gen 3 etc. as needed to accommodate our innovative new coasters that are on the horizon. Stay tuned........". It could be small like Outlaw Run, so theres the chance of two coasters.10 million $ for a wood coaster and another 10-15 million $ for another coaster, plus the new land.
