  1. Seriously...???... No matter what a sign says,,, kids are kids. Many of them will intentionally break the rules. It's what they do. To them, it may even be worth getting kicked out of the park to not risk missing the social opportunity with their peer group. If some of them got kicked out, they would wear it as a badge of honor and soak in all the attention their group would give them. Their attempt to break out as individuals and self-actualize, as well as their attempt to fit into society and their peer group will drive their decision... Both motivations would be fueled. Not to mention group theory, and how empowered people in general can be when attempting to work with a group... I mean,,,, the Holocaust even... And those that perpetuated this, weren't teenagers. Point of the matter,,,, line-jumping will ALWAYS be a problem. The park does enforce this, and when guests complain it is dealt with. The workers are instructed to respond when they notice these situations or there is a guest complaint. If you can't emotionally deal with a bunch of teenagers being teenagers, I suggest you focus your leisure time somewhere other than theme parks. Maybe a library, retirement home shuffle board court, or chalet in the mountains where you could grow a very large beard and let woodland creatures live in it...
  2. I know certain mazes open up at 3 on saturdays. Mostly the indoor ones,, and I know for a fact Maze of Maddness will be. Then most will open up at 8 like usual on saturday night, and all will be open at 8 on sunday nights.
  3. One, Winterfest, great way to get into the holiday spirit with family and friends. Two, what were those shoes called used to spin around in the air about where CyberSays is now? They were lame, but I loved them as a kid, they were my favorite ride. Three, props to the dude who liked Retro Repeat the Beat in 96',,, also one of my favorite shows. But I am also partial to RetroActive from 98'. They all beat Graveyard Shift all to heck.
  4. Hats off to any security gaurd or sup/manager who enforces the dress code over all associates who are not representing the park well. I can only imagine how rude some park guests and associates can be, in not respecting that authority. Do you think if the vice presidents in the park walked through consistently they wouldn't tell other associates to shape up if they were not in keeping with the dress code? Of course they would. Why, they have a personal stake in the company, and pride in the park. Security gaurds and supervisors/managers are extentions of those people, and should represent them accordingly. If they are met with oposition, that associate should be disiplined accordingly,,,, just as they would fi they mouthed off to the vice president of the copmany. Just my opinion.
  5. I HATE when associates look like slop on or off break when in view of park guests. Part of the atmosphere at the park is provided by those in uniform. I realize I'm pretty hard nosed about this, but I just do not understand why associates can simply not abide by the dress code. It's not that hard. Are teenagers today really so self-conscious, and searching for individuality that they can not look uniform to another group of people while they are at work. Droopy pants, untucked shirts, dirty shirts, name tag non exsistent, walkman, cell phone,,,, none of it makes sense. They're only at work a short amount of time, and if they can't wait until they are out of view of park guests to look dumb, security gaurds or anyone who has pride in the professionalism of the company should let them know that they are not representing the company well. "as long as they're doing their job"- what? They are required to do their job. That's why Kings Island pays them money... They also pay them money to abide by the standards set up, and one of those is the dress code. Anyone who doesn't abide by that, or other policies, should be fired.
  6. Good Point. Returning the same cast members is not nessisary for a good show..... However it is if you want the same show. Since Graveyard was so character oriented, when you change the 4 leads, the show is simply different. For example, Graveyard was done at another Paramount Park before it had a run at PKI,,,,,, and was not nearly as successful at the other park. Why,,,,, cast members/management. They had the same songs, same effects, and nealy same facility.
  7. Nate is not old... Much... May not be much to look at, but what a low blow.
  8. I agree. I always like karaoke, and there was always a big crowd there... And who was that host this pre-season? He was the man.
  9. I'm not really at liberty to say why it would now be impossible,,, but despite the opinion on this board, it was not as big of a hit as suggested here. I am not sure what information I could release without getting in trouble,,, so I'm not going to release any other than my opinion. In my opinion it would not be the same without the same cast, they were a good ensemble together, and again in my opinion, one of the best things about the production overall. But aside from that point,,, for other reasons,,,,, it would be impossible.
  10. Man, why all the angst? I like my comas,,,, I mean,,,,, don't be a hater. If you happen to prefer using periods that's cool. I'm not all gonna go and make fun of your favorite puntuation mark. However I appreciate the feedback, and will consider it as I am currently writing my doctoral thesis... I'll try not to use as many comas,,,,,,,,,.
  11. It was awesome. Those two girls who were the cheerleaders in the Smells like Teen Spirit parody were awesome. Weird Al was awesome... awesome.
  12. Yogi, you the man. And,,,,,,,, not to burst anyone's bubble, but it is impossible to bring back Graveyard Shift. I guess that's all I can say,,,, but trust me, it's impossible.
  13. Despite the hype,,, and overwhelming support from these forums (which I just do not understand),,,, it is impossible to bring Graveyard Shift back! How are they going to find all of those performers who were in that show, convince them to stop whatever they are doing now, and come do a show at Kings Island for a few weeks??? Nevermind copyright laws... Yet again, people wanting thisngs that are just not realistic on these forums. Get over it, and get on with your lives... We all have.
  14. I think the park makes a good amount of money with how Timberwolf is set up now. I think changing the contracts of the shows they bring in, so that more acts are possible to bring in, that would be good. I also think that the festivals like Spirit Songs bring the most park guests into the park, so the more of those types of events that they could schedule, the better. Problem comes in with the contracts for the venue I assume.
  15. Fear Fest is closely approaching,, and there are some exciting new ideas for this season.... So in preparation,,,,,, which of last years attractions was your favorite and why? And,,,because I'm curious,,,, within reason,,,,, how could the Maze of Madness be improved?
