The steam engines of the Walt Disney World Railroad at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida are an important part of Disney history, as well as a valuable asset to Walt Disney World.
"Several reports suggest that management is looking to replace these steam engines with steam-outline diesel engines, or in other words, engines that look like steam engines but are actually diesel powered. While some might not notice the difference, this would be a tragic end to the tradition of steam-powered locomotives at Walt Disney World that has been in place for over 40 years."
First of all, Really, just really! Why would Walt Disney World want to get rid of these steam locomotives, you may think that this is fake but it's not. I found out about this on a Walt Disney World railroad Forum site and if they get enough signers for a petition Disney world may consider keeping them. My opinion, NO Walt Disney was a steam train fan and he built Disney Land as a excuse to build a railroad and did the same with Walt Disney World. I mean if he was alive today No one would ever think of getting rid of his Steam Locomotives. Please sign the petiton to save the steam and help keep it at Disney World for generations to ride.
