  1. The performers are very talented for sure! The water screen/wall,,,, very cool indeed. I jumped when the pyro went off. Didn't expect to be startled in a song and dance show, so that was cool. Vampires are really 'in' right now, so I liked the concept as well.
  2. Ghouls,,, the cheeseburger,,,,, I think all the songs were about what the monsters ate... Frankenstien,,, is mostly human,,, so he eats cheeseburgers. But he's a big guy,, so it was a big cheeseburger... I think.
  3. This song is called, "Ridin' Along With The Radio" by Josh Byrd. Hope that helps. I love Country Music, and love the fact there is a show again in Festhaus. The idea that you can get something to eat while you're watching a show is something every theme park needs. Great job Kings Island!!!
  4. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! (Break to take a breath,,,,) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I LOVED the backwards racer. It was officially my favorite ride at the park. Now it's gone to 'stay consistent' with other Cedar Fair parks.?.? Bad idea. I loved this coaster. They could still race back and front sides, like they used to. This totally sucks!!! I very rarely post on these forums and just read them, but this is horrible.
  5. Much like a music video,,,, sometimes the plot is loose. Group of friends are killed in a car wreck. The girl at fault is still alive. The friends come back as Zoombies and torment this girl. That's pretty much it.
  6. I would say that this show is not for everyone. I would not bring kids to the show,,, there is foul language and suggestive theming used throughout. That is why there is a big sign out front, ushers telling each family who comes in that it is intended for mature audiences, and an annoucement at the beginning of the show stating that as well. I would say though that the language used in the show can be found on any network television station after 8 pm.... This live show doesn't start until 8:30 pm... The costumes, they are slightly skimpy, but nothing you couldn't see on any rap video on MTV or BET, and the same goes for the choreo. Also,,, shows aren't for everyone. If you like watching singing/dancing/acting type of stuff, its a good show. If you are the typical Haunt guest, who just wants to come to be 'scared' then the show may not be the best use of your time. It's cool to watch, but not really scary per say. It depends on what you're looking for in the park. Also, most theme park shows don't have a 'deep' plot. If that's what you're looking for, again,,, not the show for you. It is meant as a song/dance show themed around Haunt as far as content and story line goes.
  7. It is going to be a fun show. It is basically a song and dance show following a plot line--- with a suprise ending... The songs are very current, and a lot of fun- very video style. The performers are all very talented. Lighting is excellent and adds a great element to the show!!! Much more edgy than shows at Kings Island in the past. I would stop by for sure on a visit to the Haunt.
  8. I would not mind paying a small charge for the Haunt, if it killed some of the lines. My biggest complaint has been the amount of people attending. This makes the lines go quicker through the attractions in larger groups, and hurts the quality of each of the attractions. Not to mention waiting for hours and only being able to see one or two attractions in one evening. If you go to any other Haunted House you would be charged. This event for a similar charge will provide smaller lines, and an all around better scare than other single haunted houses in the area because there is more to see and do. From the perspective of someone who would go to the park just for this event, I would not mind a seperate charge at all. Now,,,, if you are usually in the park or carry a season pass I see how an additional price would be annoying,,,,,, but from my perspective it would be a wise move.
  9. Woofer-,,, right,,, fire balls on strings. Bodda-,, yes double post,, because to me,, I was commenting on two seperate issues. One, KB's ability to lead the department. Two, the size and scope of the entertainment department in general,,,, which cannot be pinned on one person.
  10. I really do think that to add to the experience of a theme park, atmosphere performers are important. They are inexpensive to hire in the grand scheme for what they can add to the park. Magicians, storytellers, the clown band, jugglers,,,, whatever. All of these things can provide great memories particular for younger patrons to the park... Those kids will be future season pass holders, and bringing their own families to the park. Those memories are why we have theme parks!!!! Bring back the atmo!!!
  11. YuMMMM. Blue Ice Cream...
  12. I also miss showcase... Granted,,, I don't even work at the park anymore,,, but watching what people came up with as their act was always crazy funny. And that one usher who sang every year,,, and was awful... Some people thought she was joking. One year a guy who was a Kingon (Star Trek) in the park sang "The Heat is On",,, with a red vest, and white gloves that he only brought out for the performance and not the dress rehearsal,,, as the special suprise.
  13. Entertainment 10 years ago versus now.... Not comparable. Then there was much more emphasis and money put into entertainment than there is today. Escapade had like 2 full casts of over 20 some people. When Kings Productions was dismatled and Paramount took over the reigns, funding, facility usage, and many other factors contributed to the department not being as big. That is no managers fault. Bringing back an ice show is a step in the right direction for expanding entertainment,,, but honestly,,,,,, I was in the department for like 7 years,,,, and when I come to the park now I go for the coasters,, not to see shows. It makes sense that the money is allocated where it is. However I do miss some atmosphere the entertainment department provided back in the day; clown band, magicians, jugglers, weird spanish guys with flaming balls on strings,,,,.
  14. KB is the man!!!! He's awesome!!! I don't know of anyone who will work harder at their job. He always expects a lot from those who work for him as well. He is like Simon Cowell in that,,, he is honest, and will put quality and professionalism over personal relationships,,, all the while truely caring for anyone who work for him and show loyalty to him and the department. His manner sometimes rubs people the wrong way. However, most people that have bad things to say about KB,,, are people that worked for him who never really got to know him,,, have never seen how hard he works to make the department successful,,, or people who have not worked that hard at their job to begin with and never got on his 'good side.' He helped put me through college, and we keep in contact even today. With that said, Bill was a great manager as well, and KB would echo that statement. He did a lot for that department and it was a shame that Cedar Fair got rid of him simply for financial reasons. None of my statements about KB should insinuate that Bill wasn't great as well. However the department is still in good and capable hands with KB at the helm.
  15. Have any of you seen Tuned In? What do you think? What about other shows at the park other than the parade?
