  1. I realize it comes off sounding like an entitled brat to say that I'm disappointed, but I am disappointed. Yeah, it's a giga, but just barely. And I wouldn't even mind the height if the layout looked a little more inspired, but I don't see anything interesting about it. Yeah, yeah, I know: "Don't ride it then. One less person in line for me. Blah blah blah". I'll ride it, and I'll probably enjoy it, but it just seems like a waste of potential.
  2. Except that Diamondback has a more creative layout.
  3. 1035 lift hill top. 735 bottom....so exactly 300ft. They're really pushing it.
  4. I guess that kills any hopes of it being a fake leak, unfortunately.
  5. So, like the opposite of Wicker Man's lift.
  6. ^^^I haven't seen it posted by any of my friends (I'd hope most of my coaster friends are a bit more knowledgeable) but I see reference to it in comments on posts ("This was announced a long time ago..old news! lmao"). It takes a lot of self control, but I just take a deep breath and move along instead of calling them out on being gullible and engaging in an internet argument with a stranger.
  7. Meh-Giga. It’s a new style in their catalog, we’ll be the first to get one. Yay.
  8. It’s a spinner. B&M has developed a 200 ft tall, non-inverting spinner.
  9. That does make sense. I assumed that maybe the leaked plans were for the station construction since that portion was much more detailed than the coaster layout.
  10. I’ve been using Illustrator professionally for almost 20 years. I’ve used live trace maybe twice, when I first started and didn’t know what I was doing.
  11. I learned of Mystic Timbers name and theme before the announcement and shared it on here (via PMs to anyone who requested). I no longer work with the girl who told me the information. I’ve tried emailing her to get back in touch, but without any luck.
  12. My wishful thinking theory is that maybe it is the map that was used for the Antique Autos construction, which would explain their presence and Firehawk’s absence. Or maybe since the supposed station for the new coaster is detailed, then this is actually for the station construction and not the coaster.
  13. I mentioned this before, but nobody answered. Is this generally how blueprints for new rides look? The layout for the new coaster is barely noticeable and muted, while everything else (including the new station) is darker and more detailed. It seems like it would be the other way around...existing stuff should be less prominent than the actual thing being built. Am I wrong? I’m probably wrong.
  14. Maybe there are no hills. You go down the first drop and then just speed along the ground really fast.
  15. Wait...I thought he was quoting the song. Was he not?
  16. I have a question: Why is everything on the leaked layout really detailed, except for the coaster itself? Could the document that was leaked be the plans actually be for the station, which I'm assuming would have different contractors than the actual coaster construction? I'm not saying that that means the plans aren't accurate, but I just thought it was odd that the layout was so faint compared to everything else when it seems like it should be the most conspicuous.
  17. Do we really know that the lift is 40 degrees though. I know the support is 40 degrees, but doesn't it attach to a "flange" (I don't know the technical term for it) that is not necessarily on the same angle as the spine of the track?
  18. What if....hear me out...what if maybe, just maybe those blueprints were originally for the addition of the Antique Autos construction, which would explain why Firehawk isn’t there. And maybe, just maybe, marketing thought ahead and said “Hey, we should mock-up a layout of next year’s giga for when the permits for the station are inevitably posted, but make sure the layout matches what the permits show.” i don’t think that happened at all. But maybe....
  19. A wing with no inversions would be pretty pointless.
  20. If anyone missed the layout that was removed, it’s been posted on reddit (r/rollercoasters).
  21. They may save a little on shipping.
  22. That tired “joke” has been around since the 90s.
  23. Somebody posted a PDF and then quickly deleted it. @Codyfryguy said that he saved it. Everyone wants to see (maybe not "everyone"). I want to see.
  24. Here's another concept. The drop turns to the left about 20 degrees and the first turnaround encircles the FOF building.
