Gravity Kraft may also be the division responsible for constructing coasters, re-tracking, and fabricating track for Gravity Group.

Ride Entertainment Systems is also mentioned which is the company that distributes Gerstlauer’s products in North America. But they could also just be working on another ride at the park (the installed Vortex’s chain on Adventure Express’s lift hill).

Jack Rouse Architects is responsible for themed areas like Steelers Country at Kennywood. With Daniels Wood Land as well, I assume we will be seeing some good theming with whatever attraction(s) are coming. I think we may see an area re-theme around Action Zone/Oktoberfest with new flat rides. If we do see a new coaster, I think we will see an area re-theme near The Vortex plot of land in Coney Mall/Rivertown with a new coaster going in the plot.

Expansion of Rivertown. Entrance of new eventual coaster closer towards existing Rivertown.

It looks like the new pass is only available to those who are invited to buy it. My brother got the email and can buy it right now but on the website for me it's not an option. So the gold pass will stay for everyone to buy and use.

I didn't get the email and I can order it as long as I use the link provided.  I'm not going to because it's not worth the increased price.

In the last 20+ years, there have been 2 Stand up rollercoaster installed in parks.  One is a clone of KI's King Cobra that was relocated from Canada's Wonderland to some park in Italy.  The other was relocated from Kentucky (Chang) to Six Flag's great Adventure.

The odds of a completely new one (or even a relocated one) being installed at KI is very, very small.  Heck, I'd say the odds of  a new one being installed anywhere as very, very small, and a relocated one being only a tad less small.

B&M seems to be possibly getting back in the Stand Up game.

  4. I think expanding days is the answer.

The only way a ride would do is if its multiple big rides in a single season opening (maybe) or some sort of insane record breaker like a 500ft+ coaster or worlds longest steel coaster.  I don't think most new rides would do it.  It'd have to be something that gets the entire global coaster enthusiast community talking.

Leviathan, GateKeeper, and Fury 325 work as front gate coasters because they are wedged in and become the 1st thing people see. KI already has a great skyline so having a giga where a bunch of trees used to be would look ugly IMO.

Besides, I like how Orion is in the back. If it was in the front foot traffic would be somewhat limited to the front of the park. Orion keeps people going to the back left of the park. You need some balance. Imagine CP without Maverick and Steel Vengeance in the back to balance out the rides in the front.

Something that might work in a tight space and look gorgeous up front and probably only need the removal of Invertigo and maybe a few trees or Invertigo and Congo Falls or Invertigo and Timberwolf is a S&S – Sansei steel looping coaster like Steel Curtain or even their upcoming Axis Coaster which can be a lift hill or a LIM launch (this might take up even less room)

That’s a structural model of the original St. Peter’s.

It's for our new B&M Surf Coaster.  It's the station house for the new King Cobra located on The Vortex land.

I believe the corkscrew section of Vortex was already scrapped and is torn up into pieces now sadly. Also, don't we already have a thread on this topic?

This is an existing thread from September 2020. It's the oldest thread and first one that came up when I searched.  I see a much newer one opened after this one. :)

    1.  Get the Corkscrew section of Vortex and spray it gold (golden anniversary) and place it at the entrance.
    2.  Expand an existing area like Area 72 with a new place to eat, bathrooms, flat rides, shop, and game area.
    3.  Bring back the old school epic parades and hot air balloons for a few weeks in the summer.
    4.  Backwards Racer for 1 year only.
    5.  Have the Executive Chef prepare a special menu or food items inspired by Kings Island's history.
    6.  Set up the 3D theater and its queue as a temporary museum of Kings Island history with a mini movie
    7.  Something with the kids area (no idea what)
    8.  Cut a deal to bring back the classic Hana Barbara characters for 1 season.

  8. In it's prime Vortex was a fun fantastic thrill worth many repeat rides.  Towards the end of it's life it was in my opinion the roughest or one of the roughest rides in the park.  People call The Beast rough but it's just a jiggle.  Vortex would slam you constantly at the end.  Only rollercoaster I've ever had break sunglasses on.   Also the only coaster rough enough to have ever caused me physical pain afterwards.  It got to the point I didn't ride for the last year or two of when I had my pass.

Overall I loved The Vortex but not The Vortex we had at the end.

  9. Before the pandemic hit I bought a heavily discounted ticket during the President's Day Sale and a Fast Lane.  I rode this ride 3 times.  My only regret was I never spent anytime in line so I didn't get to see much of the "hangar" or whatever you'd call it before you go up the steps.  Because you're moving so quickly in the Fast Lane and you don't want to hold up those behind you.

Typically a ride doesn't scare me.  I don't have a fear of heights.  I have a fear of what I call unsecured heights.  My first ride was in the front row.  That first view from top gave me a momentary "oh ****" feeling.  After that I was good.  Absolutely thrilling ride.  Dunno why it did that to me.  I've been on Top Thrill Dragster and other taller coasters.
