^^Kings Island does a pretty good job at keeping this event's info away from the wrong people.

Does anyone know if they decorated for Winterfest during Fear Fest back in 2005? Can't wait to see how they do that during Haunt 2017.

I feel like this is going to be a Trail of Terror 2.0! I'm surely not complaining. Excitement is too light of a term for me.

^^I'm sure they'll just bring bigger and better songs! Blood Drums never fails to entertain me! Wish they had something like it in the regular year.

^^That might just be a wait and see kind of situation. But I sure hope it's permanent! It's all about the marketing!

Most of the rides are open during Haunt besides the ones located in Planet Snoopy. You can also buy a No Boo necklace (if they are selling them this year). There are some loud sounds you are unable to escape from, though! Hope this helped!

I also wonder if they'll bring back the parade they had for Winterfest 2005. They have a lot of things they could utilize for this event. Let's hope they do this with the best of their abilities!

Seems like this will be the last season where Halloween Haunt represents the end of Kings Island's season! Can't wait to see what this year's Haunt brings! Hoping the days don't go by slowly. Haunt is my favorite part of the season!

Possibly they might be making Rivertown similar to Ghost Town at Knott's Berry Farm? Not likely. But possible. Just a thought.

I wish they would've themed Sorority House to a dollhouse type haunt.

Man, oh man. I am so excited to ride this back row at night with my best friend who is afraid to ride the giant rides at the park! This will definitely provide some outstanding night rides! Might even be #2 right after The Beast!

I was at the announcement and just got back. There were people in front of me that were TICKED that it wasn't an RMC. It was really funny. It seemed like it was straight from a reality tv show. Maybe they need to make a 'Coaster Fans' reality show on Lifetime to go along with 'Dance Moms'.

It is so crazy how when you have nothing much to look forward to and time flies by. Then you anxiously wait for something to come and time just seems to stop. Why do our minds have to work this way? (Also, I'm so excited to be going to my first announcement on Thursday)

I completely agree. I can tell the majority of people at Haunt put their all into it. People want it to be Dent Schoolhouse but the problem is... Kings Island isn't trying to be Dent Schoolhouse. They are something totally different. That's why I love Halloween Haunt!

There's probably less people posting on this thread than the Decoding 2014 thread because this project has far less work to speculate on and I also think these forum sites are not necessarily getting as much people on them as they used to. There's going to be things that come and go on the internet. It's always changing.

Could the tease from a day or two ago referencing you to "Take a seat" and "grab some popcorn" be a reference to lumberjack shows? It leads me to believe it has something to do with lumberjacks.
