  1. It may not be necessary, but is it required?
  2. Can't imagine why a glorified swing set with a motor attached wouldn't generate wild applause... Disclaimer: The above post contains elements of sarcasm, and attempts at humor.
  3. KI could have replaced SOB with a sand box and that would have been less of a failure than SOB. Investing around 20 million into something that was open for around 7.5 years (I could be wrong, plus or minus a bit considering the extensive SBNO times after the accidents) is a failure on massive proportions. sob was a failure because it was beyond its time, plus paramount did not take care of its coasters, it paved the way for most of today's modern wooden coasters. I can agree with all of that, however, looking at it from a purely KI scope the ride was a fairly large misstep.
  4. You may not be saying that when the vest is digging into your collarbones during the final brake run, Gatekeeper left me with a couple bruises.

  6. The tombstones perhaps, but I took (Greg or Don, video was too blurry I forget who was talking at this point) statement of a coaster that must be ridden at night as an indication that the fog would be utilized as an element for night time riders. How long the fog theme lasts until KI lets the machines run empty is another story. Maybe what we were thinking were drains are actually fog vents? I too thought the fog in the night POV had significance, but then again it could have just been for show. That would be another questions I'd ask, whether or not there will be fog on night rides. I hope the fog is an actual element for night, that would really make Banshee a great nighttime ride

  8. Wouldn't be surprised, it always seems to be running "special" pricing. Potentially, it needs updates and maintenance that KI doesn't see as a good investment.
  9. 3 https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee/the-evidence/wail-of-the-Banshee-blog/blog-article/Title The color of font someone chose to put on that page is as close to unreadable as one could possibly get
  10. Wow... Can't wait to ride this
  11. Its much better to just go to the page on KIC with his live stream, it's embedded without the idiotic comments and trolls Edit: or just go to the coaster fusion link, also minus comments. Also, I was behind a ton of comments
  12. Dvo, I think you're missing the point of why people appreciate Don the way they do (myself included, even though I'm rather new). Just the fact that he is active within this site makes members feel involved in their home parks, in my opinion. The reason I joined this site was because I loved reading this thread, and part of the reason that its been so popular is because Don and his team have had excellent hints and diversions that put one blog thread over 13,000 posts and ~650,000 page views. He could just as easily given sparse clues and not interacted with members in this thread, especially following the idiotic incident from last month
  13. Oh, the irony. Lol I know. I'm about to just get on Safari and use the full site Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Safari? I'm not certain doing that will increase your chances of success
  14. Oh, the irony. At this point I have completely forgotten what the picture was supposed to be
  15. Above right at the start of the lift hill when you are leaving the station is a massive picture of his Avi, updated to the on ride photo from the new ride
  16. I'd also like to use this post as the official starting point for my petition to name the alleged 2019 Giga as "intamin"--it gets straight to the point. better yet, with the tribute tombstones to the well known members of KIC, why not "Youngstud's intamin giga"
  17. There are bunches! You can see many of their trademarks here: http://www.trademarkia.com/company-cedar-fair-lp-222594-page-1-2 The Fastpay one intrigues me. Could we be seeing something like Holicash at Cedar Fair parks in the future? Edit: Apparently Dorney Park is already test marketing this. Interesting. I doubt I'd use it, but more available amenities can never be bad. I noticed something interesting while scrolling though the various CF trademarks. Every name that eventually is given to a new ride is listed as "Metal Key Chains", I vividly remember the arguments on this very same thread which were centered around the name of the 2014 coaster not being Banshee because that trademark was only for metal key chains. Seems funny in retrospect that by just looking at the list of all new CF rides, that argument would be silenced quickly.
  18. Either way, diversion from the blueprints or the name Banshee, I think Don has proven himself to be one of the best PR people KI could ever hope to have
  19. Well I'm not wanting to have an argument, sorry it came off snarky bmbillups
  20. Don't need to be a coaster genius, just reading 5 posts back would do
  21. Ok, bmbillups is seriously considering a wing rider...
  22. I don't think anyone has talked about a Wing Rider that has actually been serious about it Edit: this is in response to YoungStud's post
  23. My iPhone wont let me quote posts without posting raw code (which is annoying) but CodyR, if this tweet is really only in reference to a winged animal, I'd argue that it's more likely in reference to a bat and not an owl. Edit: seems I am a couple minutes late with The Bat reference...
  24. As far as Don's most recent tweet is concerned, I see this as nothing more than a diversion considering the amount of serious discussions that have taken place on this thread about the possibility of a winged coaster. Simply by adding the words "wings" he can plant the idea into enough heads to completely change the discussion from what blueprints look like to "what's the possibility that this is actually a wing rider?!?!"
