  1. I absolutely love how they played into the Banshee screaming and then the Son of Beast dies! Fabulous way to introduce this!!
  2. I still see the image. And I won't be convinced until 10 p.m. tonight!
  3. We don't know the actual length, but if this is telling the truth, it will be over 4,048.6 feet long. Got it! Thanks.
  4. I don't get it...sorry. Where are you all seeing the stats?
  5. Well, for the low, low price of $15, you can get one at KI! HA!
  6. Trademarks last indefinitely, but I don't see one for The Bat. It could be that it was formerly registered to someone else and not transferred to CF, but I'd have to do a more extensive search to know.
  7. It takes a few days to be posted :-)
  8. I'm not gathering that from the tweet. Although who knows!
  9. I just also read that allegedly the "Flight Deck" logos have been removed from the trains? Interesting!
  10. I'm still going on the fact that one pic showed a comb that was broken. And that kills a Banshee. Therefore, I don't think the name is Banshee.
  11. Good news! I'm not a troll, yo! I legit found this site because of the excitement my kids and I have through attending KI this year. It's the first timet hey were all big enough to get Gold Passes and the cost be worth it! I Google'd and this is where I landed. I enjoy reading and am SO stoked for tomorrow! So, let the haters hate! That is all.
  12. I think the "leaked" web site would have been far more convincing if it came out about two weeks before it did. By yesteray, most people had already made their convictions. I was thinking about the whole Banshee thing though.
  13. I found this in an old article through Google. I thought it was interesting: "We often will have teaser announcements that we'll make. We'll just put little hints on the website," Zelm says. "Sometimes they're clues that may throw people off and we did play around with that with Gatekeeper. We did throw out some clues there that basically led them to nowhere. But we just have fun with it and we hope that our guests have fun with it, too, because that's really what we want. We want to just keep driving the excitement and getting them thinking about the future."
  14. You might be onto something there. With a Banshee theme not fitting into the Action Zone, could we be seeing an Action Zone retheme to more a more spooky theme. Dare i say "amusement dark". Flight deck becomes The Bat. They could fairly easily change the old carrier walk through into a cave theme. With some paint and new signs the rest of the area could easily be rethemed as well. I think you're onto something here. I mentioned "Amusement Dark" a long time ago... On mobile so can't fin the link but cf did file a tm for amusement dark. A lot of people assumed it was for a haunt but this seems more likely. YES!! Here you go! I posted it last week. http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2013/04/a-curious-new-cedar-fair-trademark.html

  16. Newbie again...can someone tell me what "CSF" is?
  17. I would think that KI would have responded in some way if it wasn't a mistake. They seem to own things that come out into the public if they are meant to be a diversion!
  18. At one point, I saw a picture where the silver comb was broken. I think the legend says if you break the comb, you break Banshee. So, could that have been a clue that this isn't going to be the Banshee after all? And I'm a newbie. This is the first year my kids have all been big enough to ride the rides at KI and we have had the best summer so far. I'm just chiming in on all the fun. Not meaning to offend some of the long time fans.
  19. Of course they also filed a TM for "Amusement Dark" but who knows if that has anything to do with KI or another park?
  20. True. Not sure if that was part of the patent dispute they had going on over that potential ride and maybe they lost the naming rights too. It was just a thought. I work in the IP department of a large company and I've seen stranger things! Just something I thought of.
  21. Maybe a silly question, but why would Cedar Fair pay money to file an actual trademark for the name Banshee. I realize they have money to burn, but would they go to that extreme to confuse people? As with Mustang before Diamonback, did they file a TM for Mustang to add to that confusion? I'd have to look at the TM history to know. But just a thought. Seems pretty silly to go to all that trouble of hiring attorneys to file a TM registration and not even use that name at all?
