^Which makes me wonder, is this where "Rougarou" comes into play? I personally am not a fan of the name and hope they come up with something different if Mantis is to be converted.

Several hours ago Dorney Park tweeted using #DPstandsUPwithCP. Could they be relocating Mantis to Dorney?

Is Woodstock Express an option?

You are very welcome, and does anyone know if Fury's trains will have different colors? If so, I'd like to see a color similar to this:

Personally, no, I don't think Diamondback will always be the tallest at Kings Island. The direction Cedar Fair is taking is one that shows a significant balance between top-notch roller coasters and family friendly fun. On one side, you have Carowinds, who will be building Fury 325, which will be the world's tallest and fastest non-launched roller coaster. One the other hand, you have parks like Cedar Point and Valleyfair who just this year have added several family rides such as Northern Lights and Pipe Scream. Seeing that Kings Island just received Banshee, I think it might be 5-7 years until we see our next big coaster... but when we do I suspect that it will be a giga, and it will hopefully be one of the best, if not the best giga out there.

2 weeks on a Togo stand-up? No thanks.

It says on the Coaster Crew website that membership benefits include park discounts. Does anyone know what parks include membership discounts?
-
^ It's also similar in height to many other roller coasters in the world, including our very own Racer (which I believe is about 85 feet or so)

Who says Fury 325 has to be coaster? It could be the future name of a Drop Tower (although unlikely) or some other large thrill ride.

It has always helped me to lean forward and hold onto the grab bar if necessary.

Honestly, I could see Kings Island getting a GCI before a giga. I think the park is really missing a good woodie like Prowler or Gold Striker. Don't get me wrong, I love both The Beast and Racer, but we could always use another wooden coaster to surpass SFGAm as "Wooden Coaster Capital of the World".

thoe124, you have inspired me to create my own version of a Kings Island dark ride, although I think yours is much better:

I don't see why this is still an ongoing discussion.
Some enthusiasts like to be thorough. Very thorough. Then again, Kings Island did resurrect a legendary coaster title that has been lying dormant in the "vault" for many years.

The only "issue" I have with this addition, it seems like the queue and path are way out of the way from anything else. Judging just by renderings.
Although the path leading out to the ride will probably become extra queue space on opening day.

I just got back from Band Camp this morning, knowing I had missed the announcement (which featured a previous statement of mine). Of course the first thing I did when I got home is went straight to Holiday World's website. Thunderbird will be a fantastic edition to the park and I can't wait to see it fly next spring!

How did we go from talking about Coke to the exchanging of hugs?
~Coasterama, who's considering creating a forum just for hugs

^ I honestly had no trouble with Mantis. I got on, stood up, rode the thing, then got off. It was a pretty decent ride actually.

For the past week or so, I've shown up as an anonymous user every time I pull up the forums.

Banshee Cam 1 provides a great look at the lighting package.

There are many out there, but which one do you prefer?

Why send the winners to Knott's if the contest is for Kings Island?

It's Six Flags Orlando all over again.

As we all know by now, Cedar Fair is not Six Flags. Whatever this is, it's going to be unique and have an appeal to us enthusiasts. They wouldn't just "remove" Mantis.... would they?
