I was at Carowinds Saturday and it was operating. I think it was more to do with a power issue at the park that day, that the ride itself. I've heard that several other rides were down too at the same time.

Have they done it yet? Probably just talking about the announcment tonight. There's nothing on their website but that.

Hey guys, new to the boards here. I'm sure everything has been talked to death, but here's hoping you guys get a great ride that most everyone will be happy with. I know no new coaster/ride ever has 100% of the people liking it, but I hope you get something great. My last trip up from Charlotte was in 2009 for Diamondback, then of course we got your hyper the next year. Here's hoping the pattern follows at Carowinds in 2015. Carowinds is already looking to be making changes at the front of the park, so it seems possible for something in 2015.

Avoid Saturdays of course. Any week day will be low crowds and lines. Boomerang Bay is pretty lacking as far as modern updates. With it being my home park, I've been wanting to see a toilet bowl, master blaster or some other big addition to the water park for a while. Wet N Wild Emerald Point is a much better water park up in Greensboro, NC.
