Here’s a look at the lantern attraction. Overall it’s highly worth it.

What is the Air-Speed Velocity of an Unladen Swallow?
All jokes aside, what was the most difficult ride to market?

Just throwing this out, KI’s model is modified layout to allow the rafts to cross the finish line besides each other. The second launch was replaced with a high speed turn and airtime drop.
It’s cool to note that from all the published information, this water coaster appears to be the steepest, fastest, and have the largest drop.

Saw the video and totally cringed. Mostly because a company such as Kings Island/Cedar Six Flags is going to rely on guests to be charitable to an organization instead of just donating to the organization.
It's the whole "we're going to charge you $26.99 for a t-shirt, $7.99 for a vinyl sticker, so would you like to round your total up for charity?" mindset. Sure donating to ___ and ____ charities are great, but why doesn't the park (or any other parks) just donate a portion of proceeds on a given day and/or month instead of trying to pressure guests to donate?
To be fair, this isn't just Kings Island, Cedar Point, etc.....it's a lot of big corporations, but it's still gross. Almost as bad as the tipping culture of America.Tipping is a good way to help support workers salaries while keeping food prices low. It’s been that way for awhile. There has been numerous studies on how tipping ensures that prices remain low, and people are paid.
Look at restaurants that don’t provide tips. Notice how the price of McDonalds, Skyline, and Five Guys have skyrocketed like crazy.

Welcome back @gforce1994 did Mr. Showalter ask you to post this?
To be fair, @brenthodge said "If only Kings Island put this much thought into promoting their product..."
While yes, there was coverage, that doesn't mean the park really promoted it. OOO yay, people talked about it at Coastermania? You mean enthusiasts talking about things happening at the park, not passive people who would want/need a reason to visit the park. And Columbus region? Don't say that so fast. I live in the region, never saw it on the news, a quick google search under "news" nothing on the first 6 pages from a Columbus news affiliate.
Has anything news worthy (aside from the Banshee incident), about the park made it outside of Ohio on a news site? Here’s one of many articles outside the Cincinnati market that mentioned it.
-
Additionally, there was coverage of it in Dayton, Columbus, and was talked about by attendees of Coastermania. Everyone knew the event was going on.

Just a sad event. I hope he and the ride ops make a full recovery.

The timing is perfect because it’s the 40th anniversary of the first major enthusiast event in park history - AcCE Spring Conference. That year heralded the opening of King Cobra:

First Aid is open until the last guest leaves the park.
Yes, but first aid has general medical supplies, not something disease or condition specific.
I ran into the issue last year, and am curious if it was fixed. -

For as long as I remember it was as you experienced. If you entered the park any time prior to Haunt and left you had to return to the park before the no entry time.
If the language is confusing, well seems to be the norm with Cedar Fair lol. They always figure out a way to make it confusing even though they think it is clear LOL.
The issue with the bag policy is that if people are forced to keep their medical supplies in their cars, having to leave the park ends their night.

Dude, it’s early on.
It takes some time to process, analyze, and diagnose. I can tell you a few cases where companies have been too eager to provide communications and the provided information was incorrect.

Looks like Mr Selfie is saying the quiet part out loud.Or it looks like someone else made an account trying to have an “ah-ha” moment.
The name of the account is KingsLslandPR. It’s a fake account.

Today, Mike Koontz held the Hall of Fame ceremony inside the Festhaus. He started the presentation by playing a rap piece that described the staff and their roles over the speakers. The rap and the following ceremony was quite nice.

Tony totally does answer questions on his account.
Just because one person answers park related questions on their personal account doesn’t mean another person has to.

Nope, he’s the spokesperson. It’s within his right to communicate with guests in that manner.
Many communication directors conduct communications in a similar manner.

Could it be that the advert was paid and purchased for while the ride still existed, prior to the call to demolish it?
Could they have outsourced the ad managing to a third party, and the third party hasn’t removed the ad yet?
In the past, CF has advertised with rides that don’t even exist at the park in the commercial.

It was scripted that way. Otherwise a lot of people would have hated the Miracle film for being inaccurate.
