  1. Sorry for the double post, but they just announced Cirque Imagine won't be here in 2016.
  2. I was just on the Woodstock Gliders and the ride was E-stopped since a guest opened the entrance gates for the ride, and slightly intruded the ride area.
  3. Has anyone tried using YouTube to look up other parks' coaster POVs while on park WI-FI? I'm asking because I get slow reception for any upload that doesn't deal with KI.
  4. Since there is an ACE tour of The Beast tomorrow, does anyone want to do an informal takeover of Woodstock's Gliders?
  5. Agreed. KI is a fantastic park. Us, KICers are trying to point out the areas the park could improve on to make KI Americas park.
  6. I was making a joke about C.F. going overseas to buy similar rides to the ones removed from KI.
  7. What would your reaction be: http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1945 ?
  8. I was wondering if it was still on or not. Hadn't noticed anything posted about it.We switched over to it after they ditched the Buffet. I have a few picky eaters and having the options at the buffet fit everyone. The BYBBQ sort of took its place but mainly won them over for the Ice Cream Deserts. Now that we have the season long dining plan, we probably wouldn't have gone to it much anyway. I think they would have gotten more people eating it had it opened a bit earlier in the day. Yeah, I was thinking about that. No mention as to whether the Backyard BBQ is a thing this year or not. I'll ask and get back to you on that.Guess it vanished off the menu. Kind of sad, since KD, CW, and CP got a version of it.
  9. The Skylines, and the eatery across from SRR have been great in my opinion. The food at KD was wonderful, so I'm amazed with the discrepancy between parks.
  10. I think if it was a weekend event, Saturday to Sunday, it would be more heavily attended, and I could have attended it.
  11. Darn. As they say, practice makes perfect. Hopefully he can snap soon.
  12. Has the 7-year old gotten mini-snaps yet?
  13. I've know they encourage flying the glider as high as one can achieve, and applauding 'great flying', but do they actually encourage snapping?Yes. They say stuff such as "great snaps" over the mic, to supposedly rerides for the best snap.
  14. So we should fly the scooters without snapping, since some snobby, overprotective parent doesn't like how I enjoy my ride on the flying scooters? Sheesh, and Carowinds flyers are in the kids section, and the kids are encouraged to snap! What's the difference between CW, and KIs flyers besides the make and manufacturer of the ride?
  15. Kids openly embrace the snapping. It's the parents who are overprotective that complain.
  16. I love KI, because that's where I escape from the pain of my sickness. I have a "disability", and I know that when businesses can't provide a service due to my conditions, it's just a part of life. I don't however go onto a national newspaper and write a personal vendetta against the company because I couldn't get the full service.
  17. The Boo Blasters at KD is a fantastic dark ride for many reasons. There are 19 cars on KD version, each car holding 4 people. The ride theoretically holds 76 people at one time. Plus, I'll let you in on a little secret. Hit the security (or blocking ) sensors throughout the ride for extra points. By hitting the sensor in the station, one can get over 500 points before the car leaves the station.
  18. I found the so-called "snapathons" to be amazing. I like the meet ups for discussions and the snapping. It is rather scary, for the first few rides, to feel the rudder vibrate after a solid snap.
  19. Getting multiple people snapping at once makes the Gliders the best ride in the park by far!
  20. That is indeed your problem, as it was mine. Don't turn as hard inwards, or your tub is imbalanced. Got it. I'll try that next time. Thanks! My YouTube channel is filled with videos of my snappings at other parks. The Larsons honestly aren't that much different in snapping techniques than a Bisch-Rocco. That's from over 800+ rides on Woodstock Gliders
  21. Snapping is hard to explain. It is better to watch others, and mimic their actions, then it is to lecture. Two days ago, I told a group of interested boys how to snap. They couldn't execute a single snap properly. Once they were behind me and copying me, they were snapping the heck out of the cables.
