  1. yes i know they just built Timbers... but what if Kings Island and Cedar Fair pull a fast one and re-try a 200ft woodie with inversions since they seem to be working with rmc now? that or a giga would be great.

  2. Idk why but I fell like this is going to a GCI wooden coaster bigger than any GCI out there. To me, Son of Beast was so much better than Banshee and I know that's just my opinion but I know some others feel the same. I feel like we already know it'll be wooden and some of these teasers point to a really big ride. I think it'll be a wooden coaster, and a very big one at that. Maybe it'll even have some Son of Beast theming to it.

i loved Sonny too but Banshee is my new love. Would i have prefered Banshee being able to go somewhere else in the park while SOB maybe recieved an overhaul and opened back up? HELL YEAH!

  3. went on friday and was so nervous i wouldnt fit. i tried the test seat and one of the employees helped me with one good push and i just made it. i was so ecstatic. rode 4 times at day and 2 at night and wow is she amazing at night. still cant pick between her, Beast, or Diamondback for best night ride. i love them all equally. and for fellow fluffy riders, row 5 is now like row 4, and the yellow bar really focused on my thighs, the vest was no problem at all because it stretches out. hope that helps give a sense of what to expect with the seats. truly awesome ride, i loved it. Banshee is now my favorite inverted coaster after Alpenghiest, Afterburn, and Raptor.

  4. a weird request but could KingsIslandPR or anyone (WHEN ALLOWED of course) take a pic of the fourth row with the seatbelts fastened but the restraints up? if all thats needed to fit on the ride is the seatbelt then that would give a persepctive to myself and other "fluffy" riders on how much room there is to squeeze in...

  5. going back to the Banshee restraints, if i could squeeze on Diamondback would i be fine on Banshee or any wingrider? ive never been on a wingrider so i dont know what area of the body the restraint focuses on...

Hard to say. The restraints are totally different. Keep in mind, however, that Banshee will have a longer seat belt (allowing for larger riders) in row 4. On Gatekeeper, it's a difference of about an inch. I'd say that if you fit on other Inverts, Banshee seems like it will actually be a bit more accommodating than many other inverts. But this is totally speculation.

im aware of the fourth row having longer seat belts. im generally asking whoever has ridden a wingrider, where on the body, (chest, stomach, or thighs) does the restraints focus on to get a slight idea of how Banshee will be like since her restraints are similar to wingriders.

  6. El Toro is at Six Flags Great Adventure. RMC is Rocky Mountain Coaster Company. And the giant woodie at Cedar Point is Mean Streak. RMC brought us Iron Rattler,Outlaw Run, and New Texas Giant. They are also the ones who constructed El Toro.

El Toro is an Intamin Pre-fab woodie like Colossos at Heide Park

  7. kind of funny i wore my Banshee shirt today... available at many shops located at Kings Island in mason, ohio. ;)

Banshee is a registered trademark of Cedar Fair. As such, it should always be capitalized.

Mason and Ohio are proper nouns. As such, they too should be capitalized.

right... well if you want to be all high and mighty and correct people just casually typing then you are mistaken about Banshee being capitalized. i believe in the trademarked logo Banshee is all capitalized so it should be Banshee. trademarked or not im here to talk about the park and the rides in it without looking for faults in people's typing. thank you

  8. it's probably my fav becuase i've only been on 2 other b&m inverts and those were afterburn at carowinds and then raptor. both were great and raptor i havent been on since 2006 and that was just one time with the huge line for it but i liked it a lot. and then i rode afteburn last in 2010 but i lived in NC for a year so i got a season pass and rode it like crazy so it's still fresh in my mind.

  9. kind of glad Kings Island wasnt able to build an invert back then because it wouldve probably been a batman clone or a very small invert. now that b&m inverts have been progressively growing in height and gaining new elements over the years, Banshee is now what it is and looks beautiful. but until i ride it, alpengheist will remain my fav invert mainly due to its height and loops. :P

  10. CJ is lifting the support for the second loop of the pretzel.....Yay!!!! (9:07)

i call it a pretzel loop too despite what b&m and Kings Island say. and just because i say pretzel loop doesnt mean im shoving that down everyone's throat. Kings Island and b&m say its batwing... ok great. i call it a pretzel loop because it looks similar to a pretzel. pretty much what im saying is people can call it whatever they want, im not correcting people to say its a batwing or saying its a pretzel loop. i see people say its a pretzel loop and i think yea it looks like that and then see people call it a batwing and im like yea thats what they want to say. so to me and whoever else wants to say it, its a pretzel loop and for the batwingers the same goes to you. rant over...

  11. I agree completely! I didn't know what to think about the company taking over at first, adding new rides and attractions that everyone wanted is one thing, but maintaining public appeal by considering historical elements is another completely. I don't mind a business considering bottom line (which is always necessary), but every business has the opportunity to consider what is best for their customers and I believe Cedar Fair does a good job balancing the two. On a side note, it's interesting to see how public interest has exploded with attraction announcements. Most of the announcements up until to Diamondback were like corporate meetings that the public was invited to...then Banshee comes along and it's like a full blown rock concert! I see nothing but a promising future for this park!

not saying i hate Cedar Fair... but do you remember geauga lake?
