  1. OT Don, but is there any- wait, better rephrase that, in case you answer like Terp. Will there be any info forthcoming on the band organ before the season starts, ie, will it be operating, installed in the Carousel, somewhere on display, etc.? edited to correct stupid misspelling.
  2. Maybe they're going old school. http://www.shorpy.com/node/16477 By the ways, Shorpy has some great high quality, high res scans of old photos. A search of "Amusement" brings a lot of Luna Park & Coney Island. http://www.shorpy.com/search/node/amusement
  3. Are quite what? Quiet? -stinky, who frequently pokes fun at what is obviously a typo, and who makes more than his fair share.
  4. Aaaaaand STILL no clue what the circle is from that pic. mumblegrumblemumble
  5. Mimes. Just don't bring in mimes. Unless it's for the Haunt. I can watch pretty much ANYTHING but mimes! (balling up in a corner at the thought)
  6. If only they had swung the camera a little to the left. But I'm sure it was pointed out, to NOT do that.
  7. THE CIRCLE IS DRIVING ME CRAZY! hahahahhahahhahahahaha Sorry, but I'm sooo curious, and it's bugging me. Itching for opening day like never before.
  8. I never liked magic, until I saw the Ed Alonzo Show. I've never liked watching rolling on ramps, but I'll give it a shot. You ever know.
  9. Per those last two phtos, the three arcs in the (former) AZ circle look like their insides are solid, and banked to the center. Would it be too small to have sets of seating facing inward? I can't get a good perspective to tell.
  10. "appeal." If Terp had dropped a clue like that, I'd expect the Banana Splits. But that's old, not new.
  11. 741, All the way down to King's Island Drive. It's a nice drive. Hotels, you'll have to ask someone else.
  12. Now THAT is a FANTASTIC idea for a Cincinnati area coaster! "The Flying Pigs.". Have a barn station, troughs next to the queue, workers could wear overalls...
  13. I was wondering if that's why dark gray was chosen over black- less chalking, plus it may disappear into the woods more than black, making the orange track look more like it's floating.
  14. I can't see thm all in that photo very well, but it looks loke most are round, but one looks square, and at a different elevation. Base for a power box or something different than the others? Edit: not sure what they're doing but exciting to see soooo many pickups, trucks, Bobcats, etc. in that whole corner of the park right now!
  15. Woohoo! https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/441632426284969984
  16. Had a friend say he was afraid of touching the faucet handles at K.I., because he might get germs from them. I told him not to worry, because both times I went in that day, I didn't see a single other person wash their hands. Gross, but true.
  17. Reminds me of a good ole fashion sorghum mill. Mmmmm......I love molasses. I used to make sorghum! Didn't like it that much, but I loved boiling it down. And maybe if the donkeys had a facility, inside a large circle...But that would require new plumbing, so never mind.
  18. Just watch- after all the speculation, it'll end up just being a bigger version of the circle that was torn out.
  19. Couldn't it be multiple things? Stage on the side facing us, lockers on back; Used as a base for the light show projectors, so they're out of the way. I'm just glad SOMETHING is breaking up that expanse of concrete.
  20. Thank you, Mr. Gorshin. Or should I say, Mr. Astin?
  21. Wasn't Blood Drums previously done where the torn-up Action Zone is?
  22. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminosity_—_Ignite_the_Night! That's an interesting second paragraph, under "Reception."
