  1. I actually was wondering if they would do something with Black Friday, Cyber Monday or Christmas. I can't imagine a more timely way to do that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Now let's all hold hands and sing "kum ba yah". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sorry for the double post. I did not see Diamondbacker's response.
  4. Another idea for a themed area is the Catacomb.
  5. She got you ready for the Military. I have had friends (not 'friends' as in code name for myself) who have had PMS in three forms - Pre-Menstrual, Post-Menstrual and Permanent Mood Swing.. I pity any man (or woman that is romantically involved) with a woman who suffers from the latter. Just to clarify, I am happy 99% of the time, just don't get me on the 1%.
  6. This also sounds vaguely like PMS. Not that I would ever have PMS.
  7. I don't know what he did or who he is. I gather I don't need to meet him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. If you love donkeys and are a roller coaster enthusiast, does that make you a jack-ast? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You can jump really, really high or fly it's your choice. Just close your eyes, think a happy thought, faith, trust and a little pixie dust. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. There are things to do in Indiana, too. Somehow I end up in Ohio more than the average person even in the off season.
  11. Rodger was a very nice man. I've been fortunate to meet many drivers. When I worked at Thom McAn, I waited on Rick Mears. He was very unassuming and pretty low key. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Where to you camp when you go to the track? I've never braved that element of the track. One of my best friends lives 8 houses from the track. When I go, I hang out there when not at the track. Rodger Ward used to go to their house every year until he died a few years ago. His son (does not race) usually shows up at some point, too.
  13. ^We made our first trip June 2013. It was awesome until a bad storm hit. There were several rides I did not get to ride that I wanted to ride and can't wait to go. I am thinking we will upgrade our season pass to a Platinum when we go because I am pretty sure we will have an additional trip in June or July there. It will then pay for itself.
  14. That is terribly sad. My dad had lung cancer then it spread to his brain. It was hard seeing him go through that. Seeing a child go through that has to be even harder. I have a friend whose son had a brain tumor. The type he had it looked unlikely he would survive. He is alive and doing well so far four years later. I have a coworker whose cousin was diagnosed with a brain tumor after being hit in the head with I believe a kickball. He is not out of the woods entirely, but is an amazing and resilient boy and his prognosis looks good. I hope Emily has the same results as Finley and Jake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've only been to NJ once, but not to an amusement park. Perhaps I should return to the state for a visit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I am not so technical on all the names and things of different loops and why things are the way they are. If I remember right, didn't they say that you do not hit max speed until half way through the ride? Is it possible that in order to achieve that, you would have to make an alteration to a loop earlier in the ride? Then again, perhaps they just want to do something different and not 'status quo' as the others.
  17. I've never done Coastermania. Hmmmmmmmmmm I can start planning vacation time now!
  18. There's a helicopter ride at KI. It's in Planet Snoopy, and called "Woodstock's Whirlybirds" Sent from my VS840 4G using Tapatalk There also used to be a real helicopter next to FOF that you could pay to ride and see the park from above. I always wanted to do it, but never did. I am not sure how many years that was there and what years? 4 People were killed on that, so they closed it down. BWAHAHAHA It was only open for a few years. early 2000 maybe? I would presume it was not making money or enough money to keep it open. I don't know if that is why, just guessing.
  19. I really liked Chang. I wish they still had that at the location. T2, Twisted Sister/Twins and Thunder Run were decent - I guess Twisted Sister/Twins is not planning on opening?
  20. I never attended Winter Fest, I would think it would be cool to do so I wish I would have done it when the opportunity was there. When it boils down to it, Kings Island is a business. They are in business to make money, not lose money or to break even. With all the options available for winter entertainment within a short driving distance, I don't know how it could be hugely profitable for them to open up. You have Perfect North Slopes, places to skate, I have heard the zoo is decorated nicely - with having that kind of competition, it would not truly benefit them to do Winter Fest unless they find something to one up them. I strongly prefer having the park focus on the open season and making park improvements vs opening up in the winter time to make little to no profit. I personally think they continually are improving each year to make each year a very memorable year - and I love that. Of course, this is my own opinion.
  21. What about the Shadows? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I hope they really open. It would be a shame to invest so much money into it and let it not take off. I actually really liked going to KK. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. The one time I got a full ride cycle on WindSeeker the past two seasons was when i was seated next to someone that was acting very peculiar (and not my daughter). He was probably tripping on drugs from his demeanor. It was the longest ride EVER on WindSeeker.
  24. Adorable! When Katie was little, she hated when people were dressed up in character costumes. She would scream lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. My favorite element is the first drop on Diamondback from the front seat. From the first time I rode there, I said it was the best seat in the park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
