  1. There is a family that Magenta Lizard and I met that has a 7 year old son. They won't ride the gliders, but they let their son ride. They've brought him over to watch me so he can learn to snap (he's getting really close to snapping.) Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  2. ^maybe Sam temporarily took over a portion of your post. I was told today that the final show is not to be missed. I do not have details beyond that, but if it's like last year, it will be the best show of the season. With how well they react to one another and how frequently the clowns pick on Trevor, Jeff and Nate (especially Nate, the shorter trampoline guy), it should be quite the performance. 3. Magenta Lizard you made me laugh about the other night so I am not so angry now. As far as snapping goes, we are privileged to be allowed to snap the gliders. Be mindful of those around you, especially if there are small children. I truly wish there was a second set of gliders for people taller than 44 inches. I can hope (and probably come up empty) for a second set. Snapping really is not difficult. It simply takes practice. It's easy to show someone how to snap. Explaining while in queue is easy. Not sure if it can translate here, but will try to explain what works for me. I sit on the far right side of the tub with the front of the fin pointed in (towards the center or base). About the time you make one full circle, turn the fin outward (away from the base) and repeat until you get more in the air. As you ride, visualize a clock, specifically "2:00" and "4:00." When you are going up, you will turn the fin in somewhat quickly when you reach "2:00". As you are heading down, turn the fin outward somewhat quickly when you reach "4:00". Until you crest, you will keep going in the direction you are heading so if you wait until "12:00" or "11:00" as you go up or "6:00" or "7:00" to turn the fin you typically have waited too long to get snaps. I am at the park a lot. I am at the gliders a lot. Feel free to ask questions. I am sure others can give other pointers on what works for them. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  4. TB- The mini-Cirque is Nico's daughter. She's 2 years old. I think that moment when he brought her out on stage while his wife sat in the front row recording it (beaming with pride over both of them) touched me more than any other "thing" I have seen in any performance any where. It was a very sweet and moving experience. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  5. I spoke to a supervisor here at KI. Park policy states employees cannot accept gifts, however the technicality is the performers are not park employees. Acceptable things are cards, pictures, thank you notes, etc. Going to guest services can be better than any gift given. The feedback WILL be shared with the cast and crew and they have been amazed at the things that people have said through guest services. Flowers and the like can be ok, just do not throw them on stage. The best opportunity will be after the 5:00 show since it is the last meet and greet of the season. 6. I've seen the show a lot (I would venture to guess 140+ times, but I am at the park pretty much daily). I am still amazed at how much talent every single performer has. The one thing I really love about the show is how well everyone interacts with one another. I am not looking forward to Sunday's last show, however if you saw the last show last season, we maybe in for an awesome treat. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  7. I also asked him what he says just before the teeter totter part and he says it's essentially "it's teeter totter time." I apologized to Thomas during this conversation because I laugh when he cries. I don't know why, but it makes me laugh every time. He said that's fine, but I am heartless. 8. Nico's daughter has been making appearances in the (pre)show. Looks like she's walking in her daddy's shoes already. Such a proud pappa. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  9. As of right now, crowds are light which is the norm on Sunday mornings. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk

    Sweet Spot

I have found a new addiction. Sweet Spot sells taffy. Delicious, melt in your mouth taffy. Grab a box, pick your flavors (up to a pound) and it's $10. 10% discount with your pass, too. There are many flavors to choose from like Chicken and Waffle, pina colada, red velvet, chocolate mocha, and many more. Can't quite pick my favorite flavor. They are all yummy. 11. Trevor was actually was closer to Magenta Lizard than this. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  12. I had Streetpops tonight. Not sure I would have tried them if I had not had them Friday at work. I have tried their root beer float and peaches and cream pops, both are delicious. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  13. Honestly, I understand that completely. When my children were little i would always have someone with me if i went to a park. A friend of mine really doesn't love coasters would take the princess to the water park or children's area and i would take her 2 boys and my son to ride rides. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  14. I had more issues with some ride ops at Woodstock Gliders trying to pair me up with someone to ride with. We have 5 people in a group that are not small people (we like food). The gal says, "you all can go into 1, 2 and 3." One of my friends says, "4 and 5". She informed us we had to be paired up. The thought of any combination of any two of us fitting in one tub is funny. The thought of trying to get out of the tubs might require a crowbar. For the record, we rode in tubs 1 through 5. (Ride op was a send from FoF.) I know many ride ops in the park and have been pulled up from the line to ride with smaller children if the parent has two children too small to ride alone. They tell the parent I am a friend or family member and ask if that would be ok or they can have one child wait until the next cycle. They introduce me to the parent and i always ask the child if it's okay that I ride with them. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  15. Bones' Burgers is at work today and will be at Kings Island this weekend. The Aloha Burger is amazing. Sweet and spicy deliciousness. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk

    Planning?

Yep, he definitely needs additional work done, but it's somewhat better. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  17. I am in the park nearly every day, but until today I had not been to the Carousel to listen to it. Great job! It really sounds amazing. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  18. Tonight after work I went to KI and met up with my friends that I met several years ago at KI on A Kid Again day. I was able to see the park from a completely different perspective. What I have to say is wow. Great job to every person we encountered. I am impressed with the kind and gentle ways they handled those with special needs and their families. I saw (multiple) crews working hard to accommodate my friends with smiles on their faces. One of the park ambassadors even found a place to charge KK's equipment so we could watch the fireworks at the same time. They gave my friends a best day type experience. It was a very rainy day, but another awesome A Kid Again day. My Kaitlyn (Princess Sparkles) and my friend Katelynn. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  19. KI Five were walking around this weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't get to hear them. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk

    Planning?

I thought the contract for Dinosaurs Alive ended after the 2016 season. I actually like walking the trail back there, especially if bribed with S'mores. Not sure if anyone noticed, but the Dino out front has been damaged. If this has been mentioned here, I apologize. Many of the teeth have been ripped out. People are so destructive. 21. The gal that sings "Something in the Water" is a power house with her vocals. I do not typically like any kind of musical review that sounds like canned Kids Bop that the park puts on. This group changed my opinion. I do enjoy the roaming live music. KI Five, the man that dresses like a painter and plays drums are pretty entertaining. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  22. From what I have noticed, employees are given feedback within a day or so. I know it really boosts morale when they hear they received a positive GR. Sent from my SM-G860P using Tapatalk
  23. Bones Burgers is delicious. The Aloha Burger is so good.
  24. Magenta Lizard and I were stuck on the first lift hill of The Beast due to a guest having his GoPro out. The ride op (Princess Sparkles) had to go retrieve it. The person in question while waiting in line read the sign out loud and said since it only said no pictures, video must be fine.
