  1. This is pretty cool from the Kings Island tweet. <blockquote class="twitter-video" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">WATCH: The standing of the tallest bent on the new Mystic Timbers roller coaster set to open spring 2017. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WhatsInTheShed?src=hash">#WhatsInTheShed</a><a href="https://t.co/JmCEeeyca3">pic.twitter.com/JmCEeeyca3</a></p>— Kings Island (@KingsIslandPR) <a href="https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/789890514095050756">October 22, 2016</a></blockquote>

  2. Which would make sense, right, because the ones on that side of the crest will ultimately accomodate the lift chain? Assuming they have topped out so far already.

Although the way they've been building so far: several made before putting any up, and working their way down the stack; it would be possible to have some from the lift side made and on the bottom of the stack before others from the drop side would be finished last and erected first.

yes i was wondering how they were going to proceed now with the way they prebuild them in stacks so the smallest is on the top and they get bigger. bug now, since the lift hill is going from tallest to smalles, i wonder if they will start from the start of the lift hill and work towards the top.

  3. Looking darn nice i must say.  Be interesting to see how they do the next stack of bents. They were making them largest to smallest with the smallest being on top and getting taller since they were going UP the first drop. Now if they continue with same  style they will be going from smallest to tallest in the stack since it wil be going down the lift hill...wonder how those are going stack? guess we will find out. ^_^

  4. ^They look to be close now.  The supports look to be arcing towards where the lift crests.  There has to be some un-banked track on the downward track opposite of the lift ascent to house the chain drive gear at the top.  I'd estimate there are only about 1 or 2 more supports to go before the top is reached.

i was thinking the same thing, or we would be able to tell for sure once that current bent was up. But they still have the second half of it to go.

  5. Was there a secondary cam for Banshee?? I completely forgot about that if there was. I thought it was just the tower that became the Banshee cam.

Yes, when it got to about the 80% complete point, they put another cam in the old SOB station and aimed at the area of the loop in the very back and zero g roll.

  6. Construction updates will also be less frequent once the lift is closed off and we can't see anything :o

I thought they'd put some up today since they had some guys walking the preset bents early this morning, but they might've only put one up. Its hard to tell if they even did that cause I only check in the morning and before dark.

Well if they do it like when Banshee was constructed, they will add a secondary webcam. Hopefully. Perhaps put it so the construction of the turnaround or over the lake can be seen.

  7. Those construction boys really hustle on the assembly when they got to work Saturday. Good for them.... 6 days a week about 10 hours a day M-F. That's definately guys that love what they do for a living. As it should be for everyone. That coaster is really looking high quality good, they do very good dedicated work and it shows.

  8. I hope they dont remove it....if it needs an overhaul then they should do that or replace the attraction.....i know at SFMM in california, the Logjammer flume ride which was a crowd favorite since the park opened (around same time as KI) and in place of it put FULLTHROTTLE coaster , which is a great ride but the park received an overwhelming amount of negative feedback on removing the attraction. I personally agree. Flume ride is a great family ride....if its life is at its end....the put a new one in.....flumes are just a traditional fun ride at most parks and should always be there in my opinion. if nobody rode it or liked it at all, then ok, but that just usually isnt the case. Just my opinion is all.

  9. IF that is a RMC truck with signage, there could be countless reasons its there......on way to CP and help a bit with MT perhaps...maybe the exects are just inquiring about an RMC conversion on The Beast (doubt that, but never know). it broke down....hiding out from CP until announcement is made for mean streak...or maybe the drivers just stopped by for a day at the park..im sure they love coasters just as much if not more than everybody else...who knows?
