  1. Wooden coasters are supposed to feel lose, rickety, and out of control. That's the charm of a good wooden coaster. They're not supposed to be glass smooth, because then, nothing would distinguish it from a steel coaster.Wooden coasters are not supposed to jackhammer so violently that they send your brain flying around your skull, and hit you in the back so hard that you feel like you're about to regurgitate your lungs. I don't hate Mean Streak because it's not glossy smooth. I hate it because it gives a false impression of what a wooden coaster is supposed to be. It's boring, it meanders around the course, and the jackhammering would make the actual tool jealous. Good riddance, Mean Streak. Whatever addition takes your place will be worth it, just to get rid of you.
  2. They could replace it with a used Dippin' Dots cup and it would still be a better addition. Mean Streak is a desecration to all wooden coasters.
  3. I'm going to start a petition to rename the coaster to "The Whomping Willow." The trains are themed to a blue car? The ride is themed to getting attacked by an angry tree? This stinks of Harry Potter!
  4. What I'd love to see is a drop track that bounces up and down, while two Vekoma Madhouse tunnels covered with vines and branches spin in opposite directions, creating the illusion of the train getting tossed around by the trees.
  5. I hope the ride is named Wendigo. Then the park would have two coasters named after X-Men characters.
  6. Yes that would be me. PLEASE DON WENDIGO WOULD BE SO B.A. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Oh God. Whenever someone says "B.A.," I think of Dane Cook. That's not a pleasant thought.
  7. I've always thought "Puma" would be a great name for a coaster. It sounds fast, exotic, and dangerous.
  8. Trolls? Look, I know Jarvis and Edwardo hurt your feelings, but someone disagreeing with your opinion doesn't make them a troll.KICentral is a great forum though.
  9. That sounds like a zord the power rangers would have to fight in their robot suit.
  10. If they build an RMC, how will they get the most wooden track record?
  11. Cedar Point gets coasters more often because they make the most money in the chain, not because Cedar Fair is playing favorites.
  12. If it is GCI, it won't be by much. I just looked at all the coasters they have built and they never go above about 103 or so. Doesn't mean it couldn't be good, but I would prefer more of a monster first hill. Something in the 150 range would be awesome. Unless GCI changes their ways, I don't see that from them. See Viper. 160ft tall, 5,111 ft long.Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk Guess I overlooked that one. Thanks! That must be the exception to the rule though. Not the only exception. 13. The Racer revived the roller coaster industry in the 70's. It has a very important place in coaster history and untouchable IMO. But Cedar Fair removed the racing coaster at my park. So I certainly wouldn't put it past them....
  14. My #1 woodie. Extremely intense and aggressive, but in a good way. However, there's a few here who aren't a fan. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk *Cough Cough* Terp *Cough* I'm gonna throw my hat into the statistics guessing game. Height: 120 or so feet Speed: 50+ MPH
  15. I'm sure a fun, reliable coaster will bring people in more than one with copious amounts of downtime. And it won't try to murder anyone. Remember, enthusiasts are the only people who care about who manufactures a ride. And we make up less than 1% of the theme park's patrons. [EDIT] And I'm not saying I think this will go upside down, but millennium flyers are capable of handling inversions.
  16. The thing is.... the majority of guests (and I mean majority as in 99.9% of the people who attend the park) don't care who manufactures the ride as long as it's fun. Parks know that, and they want the most bang for their buck, so naturally, they'll go with a reliable company like B&M or GCI. Or Mack.
  17. Slightly off topic, wasn't a campground rumored for the park a few years ago? I want to visit Kings Island for the first time next year but there doesn't seem to be an onsite option. Other than GWL, but that seems pretty expensive.
  18. If they're secret, how would you know about them? I put "secret" in quotes because I was referring to trademarks not filed directly by Cedar Fair or Kings Island, but still filed by Cedar Fair under one of its subsidiaries (e.g. Millennium Operations). A quick search on the trademark database can pull up all of the trademarks filed at the address of Cedar Fair's headquarters.
  19. I wonder why nothing has been trademarked yet. There aren't even any trademarks filed by any "secret" subsidiaries. Don't they want to sell merchandise?
  20. No. You should be able to hit everything you want in about 4 hours. Everyone will be at the water park.
